  1. Thanks for the thread attention on this one - I'd never noticed it before. I still have some (maybe) hardware issues to figure out though, since my framerate has tanked even in Vanilla when adding any ENB... Still, it's hard to play without, now!
  2. It would be great if anyone could get any improvement ideas out of the source for all the people having issues. Even using MemInfo along with it didn't give me any trouble, despite reading people advising against it because of conflict crashes. It would be nice to understand a little better.
  3. *falls to knees in rain, head hanging*
  4. I'm using Prince and Pauper, too - it uses this replacer as a resource, distributing them to children depending on class estimation. I really liked the look of these when they came out, so I was glad it was allowed to be used this way. This definitely needs to be endorsed if you are using the other!
  5. Yes to heavily modded. Some profiles more than others, but I don't think I have any that have under 90 active plugins. Yes to ILS issues - in some profiles. When I initially tried it out, I went back to a heavy profile that I had abandoned as unstable (part of the problem I am having with this in general is that those most likely to be excited about using this seem most likely to have a large and varied mod list) and tried out some of the places it would inevitably hang. Exteriors were common, but I had often used the Bannered Mare for testing it because of all the NPCs in town that went in, as well as Solitude Docks. I had another I couldn't get to Dawnstar in. Because of Josh talking about his screenshot profile, I also loaded one that I was testing 'pretties' on, that was ...problematic but not as predictably so, and made the run along the main roads, saved in exteriors and reloaded, in and out of buildings etc. The one I just tried it on is a trimmed version of the first, a winter one for my nord that includes CoT Winter, Frostfall, W&C, the new Seasons of Skyrim Winter, Hunterborn, blah blah. This is the trimmed version, ha. I haven't messed with ugrids at all. The profile with the most time played with this has gone to level 10 starting in the orc fortress, not as heavy - 100 active. That is light for me, which could be embarrassing, I guess. It has gotten one random CTD in the wilderness... I can't say if it is just one of those weird things, a script issue, cranky game, or a 'new' CTD. I know that going in and out of Markarth was much easier for me than the last go I gave it - but I do not have the last one to load up. So... the one that has the most time on it may not be the best example, because it was cleaner and trimmer than the others, and so less prone to issues. The ones that had issues that WERE resolved by this, I haven't gone back to seriously play on because I feel they were inherently unstable regardless. I started all this game modding over to go with an SR semi-legendary + extras, but am kind of thinking I need to suck it up and do a full STEP profile if only for easier comparisons in testing.
  6. I qasmoked and just kinda... looted all the containers to quickly get a massive amount of different items, went back out to world and trotted around a bit... crafted, menu'ed, saved, reloaded, meh. Nothin'. It's almost irritating not being ABLE to crash when trying to reproduce, haha. I guess I just need to load up and do a solid chunk of playthrough instead of tests in isolation.
  7. That is helpful, thanks. It's funny you mention the "something about Oblivion," too. I am notorious for not finishing games, or even making a dent in them. This is usually for games that have toolsets, so it's not an actual abandonment of the game, just its vanilla state. Like NWN - didn't finish any main campaigns, but we played and modded it for 8 years or something. Oblivion was rare though, because not only did I barely get out of the intro, but I didn't stop to go mod-shopping, or anything. I just... drifted off. I dunno, something about it I guess - just wasn't that interested somehow. I have been meaning to load it up with mods and give it a go, so that's a place to start.
  8. I would like to do some more testing of the same saves, but for the record I am using NVidia 1gb(x2) 16gb (there's a reason, I swear!) ENBseries .233 (UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics is false) Ugrids default Definitely no graphical artifacts or menu CTDs, possible new random CTDs later still to be determined, I guess. (Edited ENBseries line to clarify - not sure if everyone means the same thing by ENBoost)
  9. Still none, here... I would like to understand more about how it works so that the differences between people's results could be clearer. Edit: Also using SkyUI.
  10. Not an expert either, but I did a quick run last night in a heavy profile I ditched for ILS/CTD issues in some problem areas. Still needs trimming performance-wise, but in and out of buildings, exteriors, and a large one for me, 30 NPCS stuffed in the Bannered Mare - no crash, no ILS. I'm digging out older saves and throwing some things at them later tonight. Pretty optimistic so far. Holding out on using the phrase "absolutely effin' amazed" until later ;)
