So you where right I forgot to put Lexy's LOTD Better Bows and Arrows.esp. Once I rebuilt that Merge I had no more issues when building Bashed and Smash patches. Still get the zEdit grey screen. So narrowed down by running zEdit that the issue is being caused by CWI Patches Merged. It so happened I had done a spelling mistake. :( Was finally able to do the Zedit part.

So I had to leave blacksacramentarmour.esp active or MatorSmash would not let me select Bashed Patch. I then did all the steps to create Smash Patch without any issues. Then I try Zedit but when I press start session I get a grey screen. I researched online and came up with this: This happens if a plugin file is corrupted and causes a low-level exception. So now I wonder could this be because I put blacksacramentarmour.esp as active when it is part of the Weapons Armours Merge? But if I didn't Bashed Patch said that it was missing one of it's masters and so I would not be able to use Mator Smash to create the Smash Patch. Should I go back in the process and when doing the Smash Patch deselect blacksacramentarmour.esp even though it isn't marked as a "no merge"? Any help appreciated. I tried to be concise and detailed but let me know if there's anything else I need to do. Gone over the guide four times and it seems I followed it to a T.

Not sure why but once I was done with the wrye bash. I had created the Bashed Patch. The the guide says: Manual SSEEdit Cleaning Required: Problem: Most of of Audio Overhaul Skyrim is Being reverted to VanillaSolution: Delete Sound Descriptor from Bashed Patch, 0.espTo do the SSEEdit cleaning I had to move blacksacramentarmour from optional to available esps and activate it before I could do the manual cleaning. I believe because it is part weapons and armour merge it had been put as an optional esps. What I don't understand is why my Bashed Patch has the blacksacrament armour as a master. Any idea? Should I go back and do something different so blacksacrament armour is not one of the masters for my bashed patch? Should I leave it as is with blacksacramentarmour.esp as active before moing on or make it an optional esp again even if it shows as a missing master for bashed patch in MO2 in the right side pane under plugins tab?

So it seems like a common problem when launching Wrye bash from MO2 in Windows 10. Checked online on some forums This is what I found out: The issue seems to be WB trying to access itself twice through MO2. The problem also is not a WB problem but an MO2 issue. To use the workaround you will need a file unlocker. I use LockHunter (https://lockhunter.com/). Install this program or use what you like. 1. Launch WB out of MO2 to make sure it works. If you are sure it does skip this. 2. Launch WB from MO2 3. When the 'Folder in Use' message pops up (pay attention to its name which should be WryeBash_XXXXX) go to C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Temp\WryeBash_XXXXX 4. Right click on the folder and you will get a context menu. Look for 'Whats locking this folder' You will see a window and in that window it will say 'What processes are locking this folder' You will see WB listed. 5. Click on Wrye Bash.exe and press the 'Unlock It!' button. It will ask for confirmation, hit yes. Once its unlock you can close this window. 6. Go back to the 'Folder in Use' window and press Try Again. 7. WB will launch. Note if you make a bashed patch, you will get a folder in use when it copies the document out of the temp file.. you can just hit cancel at the end of the bashed patch, it seems to copy the document and bashed patch file to overwrite fine. This worked for me !

Followed the issues with Wrye bash Comes down to the Temp folder in appdata path: C:\Users\16469\AppData\Local\Temp Wrye bash creates a folder there when launched and before being fully launched I get the message saying that that folder being open creates an issue. Trying to figure it out but stomped

Stuck Wrye Bash says: Error! Unable to start Wrye Bash. Please ensure Wrye Bash is correctly installed. Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\bash.pyo", line 322, in _main File "bash\env.pyo", line 652, in testUAC File "bash\env.pyo", line 570, in shellDeletePass File "bash\env.pyo", line 561, in shellDelete File "bash\env.pyo", line 527, in _fileOperation CancelError: Action aborted by user. So I can't start it from Mod Organizer 2. Can started directly from outside but of course that's kind of useless. Yes I am using windows 10 and have skyrim installed in the default steam location.

Hello again I finished running loot and tested the game no crashes. Getting ready to do the wrye bash. My main thing is I remember disabling SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm in the past. This time around though for some reason i can't seem to find SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm. What mod is it part of? Searched in the mods folder and nothing.

Hey going through the merges. It says to place OMEGA CACO Patches Merged Directly after ---- No Snow Under The Roof Merged. There is no No Snow Under The Roof Merged in this version of the guide. I'm unassuming it's a leftover from the past and we should place OMEGA CACO Patches Merged Directly after ---- MLU Patches Merged. Is this correct or am I missing something? Will go do the poll now.

Sorry to bother but when I run the Cathedral assets optimizer I don't know where 3DNPC1.esp is generated. I run it with textures on full optimization and meshes on necessary optimization. Every time the guide asked me to run the Cathedral assets optimizer I did it this way, then checked the log had no errors then closed it opened MO2 and continued the guide. Not sure what could be wrong the rest of the guide has been smooth sailing right now near the end. Using interesting NPCs SSE 3.42 not the beta.

Hello guys, Installing this for the second time around. Finished the first time but had some graphic errors. Much more comfortable doing this now. QUESTION: When installing interesting NPCs SSE 3.42 in the last step I'm to manually edit 3DNPC1.esp with xedit. PROBLEM: There is no 3DNPC1.esp only 3DNPC.esp. Things I've done: Install interesting NPCs SSE 3.42 without Scripts\follower3dnpc.pex, Textures\ax run the mod folder through Cathedral Assets Optimizer with MO2 closed. Load 3DNPC.esp using the SSEEDIT - Quick Auto Clean and let it clean the mod. Just stuck in the last part. can't find 3DNPC1.esp

Okay starting from zero again. This time I also uninstalled the game. Before I go all out I wanted to ask if I should install my skyrim steam directory or my E:/ drive wich is exclusively for my skyrim mods, utilities, MO2, and skyrim game folder. Or just let steam install it on my C:/ drive where my normal steam directory is. Asking because something happened last time with xlodgen and dyndolop on the finish line and though unlikely I wondered if the mistake I made of deleating the my games folder was because it was in a different location than I'm used to had something to do.

So couldn't make XLODGEN work. Went to DynDODLODx64 watched Phoenix video. Got this: [00:00:00.077] DynDOLOD based on xEdit x64 (3F104FAC) starting session 2018-12-17 10:36:03 [00:00:00.089] Using Skyrim Special Edition Data Path: E:\Installed Games\Skyrim\The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim - Special Edition\Data\ [00:00:00.092] Using Backup Path: E:\Installed Games\Skyrim\The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim - Special Edition\Data\SSEEdit Backups\ [00:00:00.096] Using Cache Path: E:\Modding Utilities\DynDOLOD\Edit Scripts\DynDOLOD\cache\ [00:00:00.100] Using ini: C:\Users\16469\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Skyrim.ini [00:00:00.103] Using save path: C:\Users\16469\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Saves\ [00:00:00.109] Using plugin list: C:\Users\16469\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\Plugins.txt [00:00:00.113] Using settings file: C:\Users\16469\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\DynDOLOD_settings.ini [00:00:00.118] Loading active plugin list: C:\Users\16469\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\Plugins.txt [00:00:00.134] Fatal: Error loading plugin list: <EDirectoryNotFoundException: The specified path was not found> Whent to plugins.txt opened it and it's empty Not sure how to proceed. Considering starting the guide from cero since I can't figure out where I screwed up though I imagine it was when I deleted the folder my documents and had to relaunch skyrim to recreate it. All I can think of. A little sad, don't really mind doing it all again, it's just I don't have the time right now, Last time used thanks giving to get through it. May be during the christmas holiday.

Just checked and made sure the Skyrim.ini in My Games had the same values as at the end of the prerequisit page. Then I checked the skyrim.ini in my profiles and realized they had some weird values like grass fade was at 13500 instead of 18000 like in the prerequisite page. Can someone point me out what parts I might need to redo to make sure the Skyrim.ini in my mod profiles is correctly modified? I believe this might be due to me by mistake deleting the skyrim.ini in the late part of the modding guide. Or did we do something later in the guide that would result in my profiles Skyrim.ini to have grassfade at 13500 instead of the original 18000?

O my god. Finally sorry about this. Apparently I had deleted the files previously. Launched the launcher of the game and it created them again. I tend to delete folders when I think they are irrelevant. Bad me bad me. When I launched the skyrim launcher again it created skyrim.ini where it was supposed to be. So I ran XLODGEN64 but it crashed again. Now stuck at wondering what the issue is. Could it be because the Skyrim.ini is new? Shouldn't be that so no idea what is going on. Closed MO2, opened it. Ran Loot. Sorted plugins. Checked that they where all checked including SSE-Terrain-Tamriel. Launched XLODGEN64. Still crashed checked that the Skyrim.ini wasn't blank. Just in case. Checked that overwrite was empty. Looked over my files and folders to see if all looked good. Stopped pulled out some hair. Smiled. Decided to bother you all a bit more. Any hints welcomed :) otherwise I'll sleep on it and see if any better ideas come my way tomorrow. So close yet so far.

Good point. There is no my games folder under users. The only ini files I find are on the MO2 profiles folder. I've used Zedit with no issues whatsoever. I'm at the finish line of DarkLadyLexy legacy of the dragonborn SE. All other executables have worked without any issues. 0___0 mama mia
