  1. Hmm.. so I just finished up the guide... before I ran DYNDOLOD, DSR, and Asis, the game started up fine, but now it's taking forever to load and the new game, continue, etc. options are not showing up... Anyone else run into this issue? Was there an image or document showing final load order somewhere? yup... disable those three esps and it works again... strange... For DYNDOLOD i had to disable my bashed patch and the main CR because it kept throwing errors... should I not do that? #confused
  2. Mehhhh... don't care too much about that... I think? I am curious though... if I start a game, and then later decided to go through and fix the CR to make that work, would I have to start a new game, or would it work on an existing one? Also... this is probably not the place for this, but curious if anyone would like to placate my curiosity.... I wanted to install CC's HQ Caves from the SSE site, but when I install them they are super wet/shiny... is there something special you have to do to make the image files compatible with oldrim? I see tons of guides for converting to SSE, but none for Oldrim. Do the normals have to be set at a certain opacity or anything?
  3. If you made the merge where you copy assets, you can just deactivate the entire mod, you don't need it active at all because the merge has all the assets and the plugin combined into one folder. The only exception is the DSAMG mod because the sound folder doesn't get copied all the way into the merge, so those assets will be missing if you deactivate it. For that one you can just move the esp to the optional esp folder. Additionally, Wrye bash does not need to have esps activated in order to use and merge them into a bashed patch. Which is why it's probably toggling those esps back on. You can even rebuild your bash patch with all the previously merged bashed plugins deactivated and it will still use them for the new bashed patch... if that makes sense >.> Which is why, if you have merged a plugin with MERGE PLUGINS you should just deactivate the entire thing (except for DSAMG), do not deactivate the merged WRYE BASH patch mods in the left pane (they should just be left in your load order unticked -- they will be unticked by wrye bash because they are merged into the bashed patch and do not need to be activated in the load order, but they do need to remain there). To answer your question though, it's hard to say yes or no, because I don't know if the plugins that you are wanting to move to the optional folder have been merged into a separate esp by MERGE PLUGINS or not... You'll have to determine that.
  4. Do we use this in combination with the current CR or only this one?
  5. That does, thank you so much for the answer, explains a lot! :)
  6. Yes, you need to add them to the bottom of your load order in the order the page you linked specifies. The esps to be merged need to be touching/in order. If you use MO, I usually do a search in the plugins panel, then double click the priority field and enter in like 1000 to add it to the bottom... and just go through all the plugins, back up the load order list, because if you click on a file in the left pane it undoes all your hard work =\
  7. Sooo... another question >.< sorry! Does anyone know if you *have* to copy assets when doing a merge? I'd like to save drive space if possible and not duplicate assets... could i just merge the esps, and then leave the merged mods activated but put the unnecessary esps that have been merged into the optional folder in MO? Or would this break the mods?
  8. hmm... For the Pumping Iron mod, is there an option to leave it deactivated in the MCM... I don't really want my girl to get super buff. Alternatively, can I just not install it at all? I think I saw it req. as part of the merged patches... I'm not really wanting to recreate a whole other patch just for this. Thanks again, for bearing with me throughout all my questions >.< I must say, your guide is amazing so far, thank you for all your hard work!
  9. If I install EEO and all its patches will it work with this guide? I want to be a pretty elf :3 Would I need to add any bashed tags?
  10. For running DDSopt, do we run the 32bit or 64bit .exe? I'm using Windows 10 64bit..., however, MO runs in 32bit... soooo not sure what to choose! I'm not running it through MO, just not sure if it needs to be processed that way? Also, why do we process the *.dds and the *_n.dds, *_msn.dds files separately? Why can't all three be done at the same time?
  11. Oh thank goodness! Thank you :)
  12. Another random question... o.o As most of the patches require Helgen Reborn and I would like to do the starting scene as I've never played Skyrim before... should I install up to Helgen, play the game until I leave the cave, save, and then resume installing mods? What would be the best method of approaching this?
  13. One more thing!! During the Nvidia Inspector changes... When I set the Frame Rate Limiter to 59.7 and then hit apply it changes it to "Off" again. The only way it doesn't get reverted back to off, is if I select 59 fps from the dropdown. How are you getting the 59.7 fps to work? Is there something special you do for that?
  14. One suggestion for the Prerequisite page, under Bethini setup. You say "Click" on Windowed Mode... However, by default (for me at least, not sure if that's the same for everyone) it is checked... so I'm unsure if by click you mean to disable it... or if it should remain checked. Instead, if you could say, Uncheck or Check the box next to... I think that would perhaps be a little more clear? :) Also, if/while you're there... just to clean up this formatting.. under the skyrimprefs.ini changes (after bethini setup) this -- [Grass] b30GrassVS=0 Grass should probably be made into its own header, as currently it looks like it's part of the Display settings. If my suggestions are out of line, please let me know >.< just trying to help as I'm going through it... :D
  15. Will this guide work with the memory limit of Windows 10?
  16. Thank you so much for the info and quick response, guess I'll get to building my cities! Exploration is always my favorite part of a game, so thanks again for your work! :)
  17. Is there going to be a huge overhaul update soon for this guide, the sticky at the top says you're going to be adding/removing things? I am just starting modding my game, so just want to know if I should wait or not :) Can't wait to explore!!! Thanks so much for all your hard work! :)
  18. I'm sorry if it's been asked before, but will this still work if you don't copy general assets when you build a merge?
  19. Hi, I'm wondering if I'd like to swap out EFF with iAFT, will I need an autosort disable script for that as well? Will this follower framework completely break this build... so long as I pick up the correct patches along the way?
  20. Yay! I restarted my computer... and the folder is now gone >.< deeerrrrrp.. anyways.. hopefully this can help someone else if they run into a similar situation... Golden rule: When in doubt... restart the computer!!!
  21. Hello! First off thanks for your tool and everything! Second, I'm an idiot... and I went to reinstall a plugin that was in an existing merge through mod organizer because I was going to rebuild my merge, and I was updating the plugin. However, I didn't have folder access, I'm assuming because Merge plugins was attempting to stop what I ultimately caused anyways. Soooo... Mod organizer, deleted the .esp, but didn't reinstall the plugin because it didn't have access... don't ask me how it was able to delete it in the first place... but nowww.. because I don't have an .esp, I cannot remove it from the merge, and now I don't have access to that folder at all to even try to delete it or change ownership or anything... it's completely locked out from me. Is there *anything* I can do to regain access to this folder? I've deleted the merge plugins profiles and everything, to no avail... Thanks, and I'm sorry...
  22. There is a step that says the Bash Tag Update is required before Merge Plugins, however, when I load up Wrye Bash, it disables a bunch of plugins because it's over the limit... Will that affect the end result? Additionally, how do I save my changes? Do I just close out the window and they are saved?
