Missing Xpadder Profile Download Link
AyleidRuin replied to Joetheking78's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I mentioned a couple in my prev post. All of them have Mod Config Menus in which you can change the key it uses by default in game. When you setup your secondary/tertiary controls in Xpadder/Steam, just hit those same key combos in the Mod Config Menu In Game. Ex: Flashlight for me is kb "J". Xpadder/Steam/PGP: "Left Trigger + A"...and LT+A is what I hit in the Mod Config Menu->Flashlight Menu. That's how I set it up. Project Nevada, JIP CC, Advance Recon NV, Flashlight NVSE... a couple of others. I'm sure you will explore your Mod Config Menu and find any that you need to set up. It's not hard :) a lil tedious but nothing like modding Bethesda games xD -

Sorry m8. I don't have it. But you can make your own :) Leave your "Primary" setup blank and put your secondaries on Left Trigger. IOW: Hold down Left trigger and it brings up the "B" list of controls. Does that make sense? For ex: I use Pinnacle Game Profiler. =If you have that, PM n ill send you my profile. In Pinnacle I have nothing changed on the Primary controls Except for Left Trigger. When I hold down left trigger(Zoom In/Out) and hit say the "B" button. My companions will Wait/Follow. The Catch is some buttons don't work. Wait, Pause, and sometimes 3rd person view(LB). =These must remain the same. If you assign something to these buttons, either both won't work or it will do the default. EDIT: forgot to say... We leave the Primary Config Blank bc New Vegas will use those controls. Then I use Left Trigger for the Extra things like the Flashlight(LT+A), NightVision(LT+RB), Sprint(LB), Follower Controls(LT+B n Hold LT+B to Follow)... that sort of thing. -
That's great, Null_Serene. You are allowed to edit your post but only within 15 minutes. INI's can be weird. I'm glad you figured it out, Null_Serene. Take care & Good Luck w/ the rest of the F&L guide :)

Hello Null_Serene. Do you have the Mod Config Menu installed and showing? I do not think that crosshairs/map n other Hud elements come Hidden by default, but that's the first thing I thought of checking. What are your specs? OS... GPU/CPU... Another problem can be Antialiasing. Sometimes they mess with game's UI elements. Are your INI's default? Have you tried backup/delete them and restarting MO/Game and see if that helps? DoubleYou made an excellent app for the ini's of Bethesda games. Apologies for not being much help. I haven't experienced your problem before with FNV. But I have in other games and it turned out to be my Antialiasing configuration.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback

You're safe to tweak those ini's. Same with the launcher. Though I should add that my setup ain't like others here on STEP. I don't use the ENB/Boost. I don't run it. Just the Fnv4GB.exe that's hooked into MO. Every time I do run ENB I seem to run into crashes similar to your issue. Tried multiple ways. -

"bReplaceHeap = 1" was my culprit for the Out Of Memory error. What does your \Fallout New Vegas\Data\NVSE\NVSE.ini look like? Here's my NVSE.ini and NV Stutter Removeal ini: NVSE.ini New Vegas Stutter Remover .ini Compare to yours or just back yours up and replace them with mine. The ini's will either be in your MO\Mods\ folder or the \New Vegas\Data\NVSE folder. That's my only idea. Good Luck, Baronaatista! -

My bashed patch (in overwrite) contains only a text and html file.
AyleidRuin replied to Yuriwa's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Your good. Ignore it. They will be disabled in the Right pane / "plugins" tab. Because they are now merged in the Bash Patch. I'm sorry if I keep misreading your questions. I do go over posts a lot before I attempt to answer them. But you see what you want to see I guess :P -

Bash patch, text file and Html file will be in the overwrite or in their own folder on left pane. They'll be created each time you do a bash patch. So far I am aware of 2 mods that show up purple. Wrye Flash will ask to disable/untick those mods(hit Yes)->Run bash Patch->then Re enable those two mods.(WMX..Texture.esp AND MiscItemIconNV.esp) The other mods in green, you leave disabled for those are now merged in the bash patch. -

Ah ok. I'm glad :) Makes things easier. Those files are the Bash Patch. Or at least what is not the esp. I would right click on the overwrite tab at the bottom and hit create mod. Name it Date of Patch and leave it at the bottom of the list. Whenever I do patches of anything that end up in the overwrite folder/tab, I do that. Though they should be with the "Bash Patch.0.esp". Which ever folder you created for that if any. Even if you run the game with files in the overwrite folder it will be essentially the same. AND you should not have errors :/ That's why I suggested going back through and double checking. Things in the Overwrite folder have precedence over everything else. Hence the name. It will overwrite anything that comes before it. EDIT: Bash Patch 0.esp is in the Load Order on the Right Hand Collum under "Plugins" tab? Along with the other mods including ones that Wrye Flash Disabled/Merged? -

h8 to be that guy but you did something wrong m8. Programs that run From Mod Organizer are set up in MO under the top right drop down list. When you run LOOT, Wrye Flash...etc, you do that from that drop down list in MO. If I were you I would start over and check everything you have went thru :( Read the guide again. Especially from here: Section 2 Utilities I know. A pain. While reading the guide you will come across NOTES that pertain to steps for Mod Organizer. Same thing with section 2 Utilities. When you install these apps you will Also be setting them up in Mod Organizer with arguments to go with them. In the drop down list on the top right of MO there will be a thing called: <Edit>: =click that and that is where you setup the programs. (Loot, FnvEdit..etc) Don't forget to click "Add" when you do the edits and name it :) I don't understand when you say you have put mods in their own folders. When You install a mod in MO, MO does that for you. The folders themselves will be in ...\Mod Organizer\Mods\. Just like the Downloaded mods that you used for NXM Links will be in ...\Mod Organizer\Downloads\ In Mod Organizer itself... they will be the list on the Left Side(Installed Mods). You don't need to bother with the folders in windows explorer. When you double click one of those mods on left side you are basically tinkering with them like you would in windows explorer... just a different User Interface with more options. After you run Wrye Flash in MO and do a Bash Patch, the patch will most likely end up in the OVERWRITE folder (@the bottom of MO's Left Pane List). Right click on Overwrite and name it what you want. Bash Patch Date and Time is what I name it. Or any other patches that end up in there. There should not be any errors in your game after following the guide. So. Read that section 2 and make sure MO is setup right. If you Downloaded everything then just go through and make sure you didn't "look over" some Notes. I hope I am not confusing :/ We'll be here if I was :) Oh and don't worry about being overwhelmed. Everyone says that at first :P It will come and you will be better off :D -

Finished Bounties III last night and it was Awesome :P One Problem... Heed SomeGuy's Advice and Leave your Companions at Home before you Travel to the DLC's Area (Utah?). Willow came with me into All other DLC/Mods, but this one Finally broke her on the Last Quest of BIII. Had to start over b4 I went to Utah. Just told her to 'go back to the Lucky 38'. That goes for All Companions. I'm sure most of you know but wanted it said. Other than that, Great Ending and just an overall Great Story. Thanks, guys :) -
4GB patch apparently didn't work
AyleidRuin replied to Rescorla's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
You have the latest Version. Less than <5 would require an Update. There's a New 4GB Patch in the F&L that doesn't use an .exe -
Here's STEP Z-Fighting Guide. Here's my FalloutPrefs.ini: [TerrainManager] fBlockLoadDistance=125000.0000fBlockLoadDistanceLow=50000.0000fSplitDistanceMult=4.0000fTreeLoadDistance=40000.0000Don't use the FnearDistance Tweak. The PipBoy will clip thru the Player. Don't like the Darkness? To Immersive for you? :P jk Nevada Skies use to be in the Guide. And it recommended using the Nevada Skies Darker Nights. That's what I use and yea, It's Dark. =There should be a vanilla version, but idn if that's what your using. As for flickering Flashlight... NVSE.ini memory tweaks seemed to alleviate some of the Flashlight Flickering, but I sound like a broken record w/ that tweak xD
