  1. I suspect he always doesn't have any money either otherwise he probably would have went out and bought a new box. I could be wrong, however if you don't have time AND money then these sort of projects become impossible to do...
  2. I run spring cleaning, and the compat patch at the top of my load order along with Quest mods, I was and still might be getting 5-15minute crashes in game, most of them happen in city areas which makes sense as there is more spawns and objects happening I suppose. I have combinedobjects=1 in my INI file because that is meant to help with performance. Its a on going process for me solving CTD issues, lately MO2 has been falling over in the background causing the game to crash itself, then other times I will scratch my head with these random CTD issues. As for your question, again try the spring cleaning compat patch as he removes the combined objects for build areas, however I don't know how stable it is, still forever testing...
  3. nxmhandler.exe is the work around and I don't know how you are opening exe files in notepad, try running it via cmd prompt if needed, it should show up with link handling window which you can tinker with. Also note MOO2 has been VERY unstable for FO4 with my testing compared to NMM, I did a HUGE mode install with NMM and it rarely crashed, then I did same huge mod build with MOO2 and its crashing quite regularly and I think its related to the VFS. Unfortunately MOO2 is mostly dead so I'd be surprised if its fixed.. Note: Works fine with SkyrimSE
  4. Tested with 8.3 and same issue, in fact I don't believe my game is stable with many mods in it as the virtual filesystem appears to fail easily. Shrug, rip fo4...
  5. I run 2.0.8.2 and have this issue with FO4 (win7) but is accompanied with a insufficient system resources error. Happens after running the game, however running wrye/fo4edit doesn't cause this issue (those apps do crash on exit however which appears to have no negative affect) EDIT: Actually now I notice that the UFS mounting system fails a few times when launching the game, nasty issue. I can still run the game and all, just a matter of restarting MO2 each time. I also noticed that SkyrimSE doesn't appear to have this severe of a issue.
