SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Decopauge123 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Thank you very much for a very informative response. I've been wanting to try WB as a primary mod manager and have been reading through the documentation. I found your post about your project (Modding Skyrim with Wrye Bash), and was trying to emulate it on my own. I made it through Section 24 - General World Improvement, when I got the idea to check and see if anything was being done to update SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn for SSE. That was when I bumped into Darklady_Lexy, found out about her work on Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition - Skyrim Revisited, and have been following her Guide ever since. I still want to use WB as my sole mod manager, but that will wait until after there's a working LoTD SE - Skyrim Revisited. -

godescalcus, How's your project going {SRLE Extended - Legend of the Dragonborn, with Wrye Bash (work in progress)}? -
OK, Thanks for the update, TechAngel85.

I've checked the STEP Wiki URL using 2 "Is it Up" checkers and they both say it's down.

Darklady_Lexy, the Vivid Weathers Definitive Edition Collapsible FOMOD Instructions need some updating. 'Alternative Rain Effects' is no longer an Alternative Addons option, and 'Sounds of Skyrim' has been added as an option to the Compatibility Patches section. Maybe SoS will be added to the build.

Darklady_Lexy, I initially installed MO2 using the Portable option because of what Xaxilis posted. That apparently truly means portable, because I've copied my 'Mod Organizer 2' directory, renamed it 'ModOrganizer2-LexySSE', and pasted it in my Steam Common directory. My original MO2 directory is still there in my SSE directory, as a backup. So far no problems: MO2 knew about the directory change, all the tools directories are still in the SSE directory, and everything seems to function as needed. I've had my Downloads directory on a different drive for space management and to separate that busy directory from the rest of the game. The new MO2 instance found it without a problem because of the '%BASE_DIR%' construct used in MO2. The changes to the Prerequisites Page look good. I look forward to seeing more of the Main guide.

After I installed [skyUI 5.2SE] is when I discovered that to access the 'Quit' option at the bottom of the System tab, one must scroll down. The 9 options listed on the System tab fit on the screen after the list is scrolled down. Hmmm, sounds like a trip to see what others have said about the System Tab's default position.

DarkladyLexy, in the Prerequisites' [Wrye Bash] section, you point to the Skyrim Nexus for the Wyre Bash 307 beta1 archive: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1840?tab=files That archive is also available on the Special Edition Nexus as an Old File download: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6837?tab=files I have not made this correction for this reason.

In the Prerequisites' 'GPU Driver Settings' section, there were two incorrectly named settings, which I have corrected. The setting values are correct, but the names do not match those found in NVidiaInspector. * Texture Filtering-Anisoptropic Sample: On changed to * Texture Filtering-Anisoptropic Sample Optimization: On* Texture Filtering- Triliear: On changed to * Texture Filtering- Triliear Optimization: On

Yes, if not, it'll still run for Skyrim LE. Don't be fooled by the naming. The x64 versions are just so the programs can take advantage of the extra resources that come with 64-bit systems. It has nothing to do with the bit version of the game being run (32-bit vs 64-bit). The "-sse" argument is simply telling the program to look in/at/use an alternative path. TechAngel's answer does not (for me) clear up the question of whether we are to point MO2 at the shortcuts or at the executables. DarkladyLexy's question asked about the need for creating the shortcuts, not at which MO2 should be pointed.

DarkladyLexy, I've found and corrected 2 minor errors in the 2 'windows' at the bottom of the Clean the Bethesda ESM's Section. In the 1st window, I put quotes around the profile name to give it the same treatment other profile names receive. * Verify the "Legacy Of The Dragonborn - Special Edition" profile is the currently selected. In the 2nd window, I changed the profile name "Skyrim Revisited" to "Legacy Of The Dragonborn - Special Edition". * Running the "Legacy Of The Dragonborn - Special Edition" profile through Mod Organizer with "SKSE" selected in the drop-down results in a SKSE enabled experience using the cleaned base ESM files.

DarkladyLexy, I found the 'other half' of this error earlier today, but was reluctant to pester you with it. The 2nd line in the window just below the "Creating Legacy Of The Dragonborn: Special Edition Profile" section header read: Select "Vanilla Skyrim" then click [Copy]. This was 'linked' to the error I posted about this morning. I've already corrected the error.

Ah, you're correct. Thanks for the reply. I'm rebuilding my SSE install from scratch to ensure a clean slate start with the build, and when I got to that part of the Prerequisites page it just seemed like something was missing. I didn't have BAE installed and placed it in the SSE directory along with all the other tools in the list that I didn't have installed already.

My heartfelt thanks to you, Darth_Mathias, Paul666root, Nozzer66, and everyone else responsible for creating and posting this guide, and it's predecessor (SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn). I'll be following the DynDOLOD instructions you posted to the Prerequisites page as I re-install Skyrim Special Edition and follow Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition .
