What do you mean by main files in the STEP Guide?

Fairly new to step, but it's been easy so far, until the vague instruction of something like say this: "Download and install the Clothing and Clutter Fixes main file." What do you mean exactly by the main file? The .bsa? The .esp? I'm so confused >< also having trouble with figuring out whether or not I should fix navmesh errors on TES5Edit. So yeah, what did you guys do when it said to download the main file and is fixing the navmeshes really necessary?

Nexus file categories found on the "Files" tab on mod pages. Main Files, Optional Files, Updates, Old Versions, etc.

When you click the link you are taken to the mod's page on Nexus. Click the FILES tab to see the list of files. At the very top you'll see MAIN FILES with one or more files. In the case of Clothing and Clutter fixes, there are currently two files in the MAIN FILES section and one of the is named Clothing and Clutter Fixes. This is the file you want to download and install. You don't need Clothing and Clutter Fixes - Separate Vanilla and DLC Files or any of the miscellaneous files.
