PerMa (Patchus Maximus) SkyProc patch Null Error

[Dovado]

Hello I am once again here with the same problem (sort of) but with another mod's patcher. Before it was Dual sheath redux but I gave up on it thinking "I don't need my swords on my back anyways).

 

Anyways back to what I am actually here for, Patchus Maximus.

 

When patching I am getting the error "There was an error exporting the custom patch. (null) Please contact the author.

Here is a picture

 

I am a complete noob at this so it might be something obvious.

 

Here is the Debug Overview file if that helps, as said I have no idea what I'm doing.

 

My Java is up to date, as you can see it bails on me at the 21/22'th step

It's possibly a java control issue. Make sure you have full control for your Skyrim data directory as well as your java and javaw. Look in 'security' under properties.

Likely a bad record in a mod yes.

Load up Tes5Edit with your current Load Order but without any dynamic patchers, bashed patch is fine though.

Select all the mod except the DLC and unofficial patcher and rightclick "check for errors"

Then copy paste the log into spoiler tags.

Let's have a look at the modlist.txt & plugins.txt from your MO profile folder.

Grant the debug log shows the plugins that are being read. Personally, I only know about half of them.

1. Couple of questions about some of them.
2. Shouldn't all the PerMa style plugins be contiguous? ie. PerkusMaximus_Warrior.esp, PerkusMaximus_Thief.esp & PerkusMaximus_Mage.esp
3. Also the PerMa extended descriptions, shouldn't that come after those plugins?
4. Then there aren't any Unofficial Patches for the DLC. Any reason for not having them? Maybe some of the smaller plugins need them?
5. The Dance of Death is active, I'd switch to Violens
6. Combat Evolved has a SkyRe version would that be a better choice to use with PerMa?
7. SMIM-Merged-NoDragonborn yet Dragonborn is active? 

I don't have a lot of those mods or use PerMa but I would look at those places anyway. PerMa is just a proccer.

I just let the LOOT in MO do it's thing and it puts the plugins as that.

 

I don't use the unofficial patches because I've had some bugs come out of them before when I used NMM, haven't had the need to use them again but I might as well get them now.

 

I've always used DoD, haven't seen a reason to switch but I'll do that.

 

I just didn't tick SkyRe in the Combat evolved foomod installer since I don't have it, don't know if that mod has been updated since PerMa came out though

 

I don't like the Dragonborn DLC so I saw no reason to install the SMIM for it. that shouldn't affect anything though.

I am very unsure what you're asking for because the log file that I can find is incredibly big (tes5edit_log.txt)

Erm no worries people!

I did a few things and tried to run the patcher again and now it works?

 

Things I did:

1. Download the unofficial patches for DLC

2. Remove Dance of death and install VioLens

3. Ignoring the LOOT in MO and put the PerMa plugins in the right order

Master

Thief

Warrior

Mage

Ennchantments

No gold and lockpick weight

Extended Perk Desc

4. I also fixed my FNIS which had 1 too many errors before but now it works (this was probably not the problem though)

FNIS isn't a plugin so perma really doesn't care.

 

you have to add new loot rules. Im not going to type them all out but you should be able to figure them out.

How to fix: Run the patcher on a minimal load order (only official esms + Wintermyst) and verify it works. Add mods one by one, and run it again after each addition. repeat this until you get the error.
Congratulations, you found a "bad mod"! Report it on the Incompatible mods list. Go to Skyrim/Data/SkyProc Patchers/T3nd0_PatchusMaximus/Files, open blocklist.txt, and add the mod you just confirmed guilty,

And then look at the already mentioned incompatible mods. Are you using the PerMa Compatibility patches and XML?

I know Hunting in Skyrim has issues with PerMa, but I thought there was a fix for it TES5Edit. I am attempting the patcher again with it disable. I also switched from The Dance of Death to Violens as the previous poster did.

 

I am using PerMa Compatibility Patches but I'm not sure about XML.

So I am having a null error and I haven't the foggiest idea of how to fix. This is my error report. Any help will be most kind.

I had this issue and took time to read each forum post with little to no help ever posted as of a fix or cause.

I also watched/read every Perma install guide that I could find and even though they cover many basis they always fell short on covering the way to fix this issue. But I finally found one post that covered the "Debug - MoreHeapSpace".

 

To break it down for those unsure of what I am talking about: When setting up Permus Maximus you will be setting up the Java patcher. This patcher uses Java but most people have Java 64x. Java 32x is needed for Perkus Maximus. With Mod Manager (After installing Java 32 and Perkus Maximus) you will need to create an executable to the "Debug - MoreHeapSpace 32x".

 

After attempting to run the Perkus Maximus Java patch and you get a Null Error, you simply run the "Debug - MoreHeapSpace 32x" and let it fully run and patch.

 

(I know this is an older post about the issue but this is a post that came up the most when I ran into the issue and was looking for a fix. This is why I posted it here)
