Tiranasta Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Is there any way to prevent this? It makes all the file hiding required by the STEP setup a LOT more time-consuming than it otherwise would be. EDIT: Also, I'm aware I could get around this by just deleting the files to be hidden, but I'd prefer hiding them all else being equal. Edited November 30, 2014 by Tiranasta
0 hishutup Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I think you can select multiple file and then hide that group...Am I wrong?
0 Tiranasta Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Nah, tried that, didn't let me (didn't let me select multiple files, that is).
0 TechAngel85 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Is the hiding of files really necessary? To get the proper conflict resolution, it is sometimes necessary.
0 hishutup Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Yes, sometimes...sr:le does it a lot for some small things.its kinda of annoying but whatever
0 GrantSP Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Well there you go! I've learnt something new. Not sure why that works, but if you say so.
0 hishutup Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I left out that it was common to hide certain overwriting textures because they may look terrible with another mod or another texture is arguably better and the mod would generally overwrite it.
0 hishutup Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 kinda of an update....here are some pics So, I may have misunderstood the issue
0 Tiranasta Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) No, you didn't misunderstand the issue, you just used a feature I had not realized existed (I'd been hiding files from the Data tab of the main window's right pane - I hadn't realized you could do it in a mod's properties). But now I do. Thanks. :) Edited December 1, 2014 by Tiranasta
