Crash when activating any DLC

Hi,

 

I am not far into STEP. I am finished with the DDSOpt guide and installed the textures archive into Mod Manager. But when I activate ANY DLC it  crashes immediately after the Bethesda Logo. I extracted the DLC textures too and have all DLCs installed. If I start skyrim via steam it works fine.

 

Am I not supposed to activate the dlc.esm datas or have I done something wrong?

 

Help would be really appreciated.

You're having this problem even running the game through steam with the Skyrim Launcher and such without SKSE or any mods?

You must have not included something or something was corrupted. The DLC contain more than just textures, so if you unpack, you need to verify. Activate the BSAs and delete the extracted non-texture folders if those are extracted. The extracted textures will override the BSA textures.
