Certain followers not giving the steward dialog

More specifically, Erik the Slayer. I go to Lakeview Manor and Erik doesn't approach me to ask about being the steward for the house.

 

I know he can be steward, in different savegames he's given the option (Although for some reason I had to pay him each time I wanted him to follower me after he became steward...) but not this one. Does anyone know how to induce the dialog in him?

Missing some key details. Please post your load order, what mod manager you are using, and which STEP build you are using (if at all), including non-STEP mods.

There have been a lot of reported bugs in various forums about not getting the steward dialog from NPCs who are allowed to be stewards. When I had a problem I did a Google search and found an example that was similar to the problem I was having.

I tried Google first, but I didn't get the answers I was looking for. Rayya (The housecarl from Falkreath.) has the option to become a steward even though she didn't come up to ask me if she could. Erik doesn't walk up to me at Lakeview Manor and ask nor does he get the option where I ask.

 

I'm looking to make him ask me/start the steward choice, which I couldn't find. The closest one to it was from the wiki which said that sometimes the option to make Erik a steward never comes up, which isn't encouraging. But I know he can, because in other character saves he does ask to be steward. I'm just trying to remember if there was something I did to start that or not.

First thing I noticed about your load order is you have all three Magnus.esps, you're only supposed to have one; you have two ADS.esps, though I don't know what that stands for and; you have four Archmagering.esps, last one overwrites the others but what's the point of loading them in the first place?

I just copied the text from modlist.txt in the BOSS/Skyrim folder, I can't figure out any other way to give the load order with Mod Organizer. The magnus and the archmagering only have one of choices selected for them, I don't have them all on. ADS is Smooth blade draw and Sheathe.
