Don't know if it would help, but in this is my ModOrganizer.ini
Game Directories and Program Directories are located at the right spot in this ini.
I also removed my login/px from this spoiler.

I'm going to have to attempt to reproduce the problem probably to be able to solve it. Perhaps the 4GB thing messes with the SteamAppID? What I'm wondering though, is why in your custom executables, you do not have FalloutNV.exe, and the script extender is marked as custom. They are supposed to be detected automatically and nonremovable. Try this:

1. Make a backup of ModOrganizer.ini onto your desktop or somewhere else safe.

2. Delete ModOrganizer.ini

3. Now load up Mod Organizer and see if you can't run the game.

DoubleYou, about your question

  Quote

the script extender is marked as custom

if the close on exit check is removed that executable in now a custom executable.

AyleidRuin, can you provide which version of Windows you are using and if it is 32 or 64bit?

Edit: I was looking at the 4GB Fallout New Vegas at Fallout New Vegas and saw that there is a log created in My Doguments, FalloutNV, FNV4GB.log. Can you post that here? Maybe that will shed some light on this.

I was also looking at the MO.ini and I realized that fnv4gb.exe is not in the game root folder. Can you copy it to where the game executable is and run it from there?

Edit again: Please set up a new executable to the new location.

[EDIT]

Deleting ModOrganizer.ini didn't work.

hmm...I think, no...I didn't rename them. I was thinking of skyrim=on trying to get the steam overlay to work with skyrim.

But no. I have not renamed nvse_loader.exe or falloutnv.exe or anything else in falloutNV directory.

C:\Users\Corbin\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV

I don't have a log here. will put fnv4gb.exe and dll file back in2 Fallout directory and run with MO and see if I get a log there^

[EDIT] fnv4gb is located in another folder after all this...just to see if it would run. IOW had it in main folder. Reinstalling it/setup in MO->and gunna run it-> to get that log for u fellas.

Thanks Again for the REPLIES :)

Sorry, I missed your signature info. Windows 7 is strict with Data Execution Prevention, (DEP). Have you tried to do an exception in DEP? After all these programs are doing what DEP is designed to prevent.

nope...no go. After restart still the same error with both nvse_loader.exe and fnv4gb.exe within Mod Organizer.

With the exception added in DEP for:

fnv4gb.exe nvse_loader.exe and falloutnv.exe

new ModOrganizer.ini just now:

[EDIT]

How about an argument for nvse_loader.exe in MO?

Don't know what to put in "arguments" but just a thought.

Tried erasing it then replace from clean 7z backup of pristine install b4. Along with the other exe/dll files.

I Haven't tried Revo Uninstaller Pro and get rid of it all and Put it back in from backup. But I did try a uninstall/install to the same error. =No ideas besides a full Revo Uninstall.

^your going to have to enlighten me on this one^

Should I have FalloutNV.exe in the ini under cutom exe?

Meaning what was wrong in the custom exe field in MO.ini?

Did you mean because they are in a "custom field all together" and not in a seperate/default field?

because, My Skyrim MO.ini is the same way. MO->all apps in MO's exe Tree are in the [customExecutables] also.       =Skyrim is healthy. no problems.

I did try your suggestion to no avail. btw. Thank You DoubleYou

Nvm on the FalloutNV.exe. I just realized that unless you modified those, they never are put in the ini, and are just detected upon startup. Nothing wrong there. I think the problem lies somehow with the interaction between MO and the modified executable. I'll have to research this a bit more.

Thanks for reply DoubleYou! Out of ideas EXCEPT Revo Uninstall of Fallout New Vegas=Advanced scanning. I'll see if that don't help.

I mentioned in my recent post my love for the great tip on the wiki, of zipping up your clean install of game (backup of skyrim.7z / FalloutNV.7z) *Thumbs Up* on that tip! Easy Peazie...

Thanks for the Help 1337! :D

You shouldn't need to Revo Uninstall. The only registry keys made by Fallout NV wouldn't cause this (indeed there is very little other than the game files that it installs). From what you have said, it simply has to do with the 4GB patch not working or something. There has to be a reason, and I'm very sure a Revo uninstall isn't going to fix it.

No...but my PC needs Wiped Cleaned...so yea...its my fault :P

I haven't gotten to it yet. Been backing up. But I have a lot and it takes awhile.

I will post when I have a "clean install" of Win7 and Games.

Good Luck Celeras. Sorry I wasn't any help.
