Requiem with SR:LE

For a start you don't need another combat mod all handled by Requiem. Complex needs and diseases I am not familiar with but will likely need a patch again because Requiem deals with food and diseases. For SkyTest you need the patch from Azirok though you could just use the AI only addon and make sure it loads after Requiem as animal AI is also handled by Requiem and very well though SkyTest is arguably slightly better.

Easiest way to install is to use Step Core then add the Survival pack and then the base Requiem pack. SR:LE is harder to install but is worth it and for that you will need to just add in SkyTest plus any DLC addons in the same section as Immersive creatures. Then add Realistic Needs and Diseases in the correct needs section (where Frostfall is and then requiem pack at the end. You will need download the patches for Sky Test and SIC. RND has a Requiem patch in it's RND patch pack and there is also a new patch which should be loaded after the RND - Requiem patch. Follow the instructions on the Requiem pack page for load order of main requim plugins. SIC patches need to load after Requiem - Dragonborn.esp, SkyTest main plugins need to load after all the Requim patches but before the Requiem Dragonborn one and finally the Requiem - Skytest patches need to load after the main SkyTest Plugins.

Load order based on Core Step

Load order with SR:LE (I don;t have RND in this set up but is the same load order as described above - BOSS sorts it in the right place.

This install is still being worked on but the files you want including Requiem and patches are all in the right place. Hope this helps.

It's here, might be out of date but an update should be workable - I like the idea of IMCN but in practice I would like something more along the lines of what Chesko was planning with Last Seed. RND will do till then. I'm an old school role player, but there is a world of difference between playing AD&D and any PC game, so witty banter and dice roles play less of a part, or no part really so being held up for every little thing does not appeal to me though I do understand the appeal, just in PC land I want to play and and be challenged by the more exciting aspects of adventuring so Kudos to Imp but not my cup of tea.

No need for sorrow dude, I meant to add links into my previous post but lacked the time, you may not have found the link but you prompted me to find it so job done really.

What is the stability of your game like with all these mods? I'm trying to get my Requiem play through stable, but I keep crashing randomly. For the most part it's a crash every 2-3 hours, but sometimes I'll get several within an hour. Especially in Whiterun, for some reason. I could live with one every 2-3 hours, but it seems like the crashes have been more frequent of late.

I don't actually use step core though, mostly because I find a lot of mods it calls for make changes that I don't think are necessary for me because what they fix doesn't actually bother me. But I do use Frostfall, RND, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Convient Horses, Intersting NPCs, CoT, EFF and Audio Overhaul Skyrim. Those are my big mods. I never really thought like it was a lot, but maybe it is. I'm considering just starting over with Requiem only and adding mods every 2-3 hours, but the length of time it would take to test everything that way isn't something I really want to do. I've restarted this play through so many times now while reducing my mod list to what it is now that the idea of doing that is honestly making me just not want to play the game anymore. Is there any quick way to test for stability between mod installs?

TBH this guide is a little out of date and was meant as a discussion point. It was very stable but there was the occasional ctd, very random but rare. Far better would be to install SR:LE as it is currently. Then add the Base Requiem Pack on top. You would need the Patches for SIC, Falskaar and Wymstooth as well as RND and you should be good to go with all your big mods. This is very stable, I have not used Interesting NPCs for a long time though I liked it so I can't vouch for it as such but it may well work soon as Azirok is making a patch for it.

It's a bit of work to install it all but you will get a fantastic looking and challenging Skyrim that is very stable (depends on your system). It will also teach you how to use MO, BOSS, BUM, WB, TES5Edit to name a few (assuming you don't already know these tools). MO allows you to have multiple profiles so that you don't have to keep re-installing your mods everytime you want to test something,

Hope this helps,

Yeah, I wasn't sure which thread of yours to post in. This one had a lot of mods I use, but the base Requiem one was more up to date and active. I do have all the relevant patches for Requiem and my mods and have and use MO, TES5Edit and what not. Oh well, if I ever do decide to reinstall I'll start with just Requiem and add mods as I go I guess. I just can't bring myself to restart the game for the 6th time again trying to sort out crashing issues. The idea of restarting yet again has honestly completely killed my desire to play this game.

With the new GPU that I will receive soon I will update my current STEP:Core + Requiem setup. I was thinking of doing STEP:Extreme + Requiem or SR:LE + Requiem. Which one would you recommend more in terms of content and stability? I'm also not sure if I'll restart with everything or just make a new profile for it. I worked months for my current setup. But now where I know how to use every programm and know most of the mods, wouldn't it be rather quick to do a SR:LE install from the ground up? :)

Right now SR:LE has some mods with major incompatibilities mainly CCO. It is hopeful that a patch will be made which will fix that, but until then stick with STEP. Or of course don't add CCO into SR:LE and leave any CCO adjustments out of the big SR Compatibility Patch in the guide. That would give you the best of both worlds so go for that, well worth it at the end.

This being the problem with non modular overhauls... :)

Yeah but Requiem works great on top of SR:LE just a problem with CCO. I have had hours of uninterrupted fun using just that. What Requiem does far exceeds what you lose in non modularity. That said I'm thinking of trying a version of SR:LE that has most of Kryp's other mods. Trying to find alternative perks for those not addressed by Kryp. Adding in ROTE, and HLE as well as population increasing mods DD and Duel and possibly SoT. With the new memory fix it may well be possible to avoid those random cross cell ctds.

That said I doubt it would be as good as Requiem even though. Still I'm a long way from that having cleared out my mods folder in MO (had over 750 mods in there including different versions for different profiles). Still have all the mods copied into my main HDD but still nearly 100GB off my SSD.
