Vilja in Skyrim for Skyrim Revisited

First-of-all, thanks to the creator of Skyrim Revisited, Neovalen.

It's really an amazing in depth guide that bring modding to a new level.

After going through all of his guide, I learned a lot and decided to share back a small addition I did for myself. Here it comes:

Vilja in Skyrim Revisited fashion.

Download the MAIN Files and the optional Vilja in Solsthein (if you have Dragonborn).

Install as normal with MO and place it under Werewolf Mastery in Installed Mods.

Notice: IF you are not using ASIS, you can skip this notice and go to the first Warning.

ELSE IF you are using ASIS, then I recommend adding EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp to the blocklist.txt following these steps:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF you are using ASIS without SkyRe Repoccer:

  • Right-click on "ASIS" in the Installed Mods pane in MO.
  • click "Open in explorer".
  • Go to "\SkyProc Patchers\ASIS\Files\".
  • Open "BlockList.txt" and add "EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp" below the first line "==MOD BLOCKS==".
ELSE IF you are using ASIS with SkyRe ReProccer:

  • Right-click on "SkyRe ReProccer Compatibility Patches" in the Installed Mods pane in MO.
  • click "Open in explorer".
  • Go to "\SkyProc Patchers\ASIS\Files\".
  • Open "BlockList.txt" and add "EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp" below the first line "==MOD BLOCKS==".
Warning: This mod does not carry forward changes from the various DLCs.

UPDATE

--------

05-25-13: Added another node to VIS-RLO Patch (00054B6F). Thanks statmonster.

Added new patch instruction for conflict with Sounds of Skyrim - Dugeons. Thanks to Luinithil.

               Added a node to VIS-RLO Patch (00016776).

The "select" patch under Realistic Lightning Overhaul and Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization conflict should have been VIS-RLO Patch and not VIS-SOS Patch, thanks Kal.

               Fixed minor instruction issues.

05-24-13: Added new patch instruction for conflict with Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization. Props to Luinithil for letting me know.

Does Cerwiden need similar attention?

If I had to guess, I'de say it probably conflict with RLO.

EDIT:

I checked it quickly and there is no conflict with RLO.

However Cerwiden have clearly not been updated to be used with Dawnguard as it seems to override 29 Dawnguard random encounters.

Quickfix for Cerwiden conflict with Dawnguard.

Adding CC-DLC01 Patch.esp to BUM.

It's possible to do the change without a .esp patch but, as it's a quickfix, it's much faster and practical then doing it manually.

Wow! I was hoping for speculation of some kind - but this deserves the kind of reply that references your response with the word awesome in there somewhere.

Thanks.

FCqt, should I be looking at the above nodes as well if I were to try patching ESFCompanions and ESFAela (two mods that change the Companions and Aela, by DreamKing)? Not sure how you spotted all those conflicts LOL-- were you going through record by record in xEdit?

Basicly, I learned how to use TES5Edit to find conflict with this

by Sharlikran.

And following the whole Skyrim Revisited guide gave me an idea on which kind of conflict to look for and how to fix them.

Concerning ESFCompanions and ESFAela,

They conflict with Werewolf Mastery and Bring Out Your Dead. (WM-BOYD Patch overwrite everything added in Aela, Farkas and Vikas npc from ESF)

Also Immersive Weapons if you are using Iroha guide.

I might do the step on how to fix them later on today.

I figured out what to look for, anyway; and made my own patches for those two mods: I'll be glad if you post your steps though, just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp also conflicts with SoS-Civilization at these nodes: 000161FC and 00016BD5. (Also, SoS- Civ is in conflict with more cells RLO touches, beyond what Neo has in the guide :P)

The instructions for the "VIS-RLO-SoS Patch" do not seem to make sense. No conflict seems to be shown for the first instruction and in the following instructions:

  Quote

Right-click on "VIS-RLO Patch.esp" in the right pane and select "Copy as Override into...".

"VIS-RLO Patch.esp" does not even appear to be able to right-click on. I am lost.

There is a missing instruction for that patch. You need to load the VIS-RLO Patch.esp in addition to the other files mentioned when you open TES5Edit for that patch. It should read:

  Quote

Open TES5Edit.

Select SoS - Civlization.esp, all Realistic Lighting Overhaul ESPs, EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp, VIS-RLO Patch.esp and VIS-SoS Patch.esp then click [OK].

I have already created the patch "VIS-RLO Patch" and have done everything up to "Warning: This mod has an ESP conflict with Sounds of Skyrim - Civilization and Realistic Lightning Overhaul". It is here that I am having problems. The instructions say:

  Quote

Go to "EMCompViljaSkyrim.esp \ Cell \ Block 1 \ Sub-Block 4 \ 00016789".

Right-click on "VIS-RLO Patch.esp" in the right pane and select "Copy as Override into...".

Select "{new file}" and click [OK]. In the resulting text box type "VIS-RLO-SoS Patch".

Drag the "XCAS - Acoustic Space" from "SoS - Civilization.esp" to "VIS-RLO-SoS Patch".

This still works, but then is says to repeat for 7 additional items. I get stuck on the first as the "VIS-RLO Patch.esp" is not there to right-click on to.

Yes - sorry about that, I realised that the problem was a different one and have edited my post accordingly, but obviously you've read the original and responded while I was editing. Sorry for any confusion :)

You'll also hit a snag with the instruction for node 16776; there is a missing instruction to copy that node over during the creation of the VIS-RLO Patch, therefore VIS-RLO will not show up as you expect it to when you get to the same node in the VIS-RLO-SoS Patch.

FCqt - obviously there are a few errors in this last set of changes, but more importantly - is it really necessary to create three patches? Could we not simply copy all the necessary overrides into a single patch (VIS-RLO-SoS Patch.esp)? I am hard up against the .esp limit so every file counts.
