Hello,

I've been playing the game with the current STEP build (v2.3) for many hours already. The stability is pretty perfect. Not a single CTD until I've decided to try a feature offered by the Nether's Follower Framework mod. That mod allows you to assign two classic combat roles to followers: tanks and healers. I assigned Erandur (the dark elf priest of Mara, former priest of Vaermina) the healer role in combat. Since that moment on, I experienced two CTDs in two different combats in a very short span of time. Obviously, I have reverted his role in combat back to the default AI role. At the time when those CTDs happened, besides Erandur, I had two other followers (Faendal and Cosnach) recognized by the framework and two other (the two bugs from the Golden Saints and Dark Seducers CC) that remain out of the mod's control.

I wonder if someone else here has added Nether's Follower Framework to their STEP 2.3 setup and has been able to assign the healer role to one of their followers without any issue. Also, if you have any suggestion about what I may do to better know what's causing those fatal errors when I enter combat with healers among my follower(s), please let me know. The good thing is that I can always avoid using that feature of the mod and keep playing just fine.

Hello,

In case someone else ever hits the same error I described in my OP, here's the solution.

I noticed that among the list of mods installed with the STEP build, there was a crash log generator. Effectively, there were a couple of logs from the day I had those CTDs happen. But I couldn't figure out the cause of the CTDs just by reading these logs. So I uploaded them to pastebin and shared them in the thread that the crash logger mod has on Nexus Mods, hoping that someone would have a look at them and help me after. Soon enough, someone more knowledgeable than me replied to my post and told me that I was using a wrong version of ConsoleUtil SSE. This person also gave me the link to the right version. Effectively, replacing this mod with the correct version has solved the issue. I can now give combat roles to followers without any issues. :)

This is the version of ConsoleUtil SSE which I first had installed: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24858

And this is the version that I was suggested to use instead and that has fixed the issue: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76649
