System seizing on xLodgen generation

Karmerican

Question

I followed the steps provided in this post successfully up through the "First Time" section

I mistakenly forgot to setup the output argument in MO2

after setting that up i tried generating based on the recommended settings of this post
https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:2.1.0#xLODGen

during this attempt it made progressed about 30 seconds or so before my monitor went black and all my system fans spun up to max.

I thought maybe it was related to the Format of BC7 MAX so i tried it on Quick and DXT1 and both caused the same lockup

See if you have bugreport.txt in your xLODGen folder, and also post SSELODGen_log.txt

This is a hardware, BIOS settings, OS, driver, overclocking, cooling, power supply etc. problem.

Check the Windows Event log for hints.

Perplexing i wonder why it went through the first time. Unfortunately i wasnt able to glean much from event viewer, there were the standouts when i had to hard power off, but other than that nothing apparent to the lead-up
