mishmash Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I'm using ENB, if I have that doing Anisotropic Filtering: ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true MaxAnisotropy=16 SkipShaderOptimization=false Should I turn it off entirely in the launcher? (I'm using SweetFX for AA etc...)
0 torminater Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Usually you only apply AA or AF once in launcher, Nvidia Inspector/CCC, ENB. Everything else might lead to performance drops or other issues.
0 torminater Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Also, apparently there are some quality differences between the different options to apply AA or AF. You might want to see what offers you the best quality over performance (using the same settings of course). Report back, if you've come to a conclusion and also try to offer some hq screenshots to prove your findings. :-)
0 TechAngel85 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I've not tested with AMD; however, NVIDIA driver forced AF is the best quality for NVIDIA users out of the three. I did these a long while back...it's hard to see but NVIDIA is just slightly better; especially in the far distance. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Techangel85/ENB_Comparisons
Question

I'm using ENB, if I have that doing Anisotropic Filtering:
ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true
MaxAnisotropy=16
SkipShaderOptimization=false
Should I turn it off entirely in the launcher?
(I'm using SweetFX for AA etc...)
