jasonstory44
Anyone ever have any issue with SUM (Skyproc Unified Manager)? I've been using it for awhile thru MO instead of having to individually run each skyproc patcher and its been great. Recently though it seems to have gone awry. I run it, it looks like it runs...but goes through each skyproc patcher way faster than usual and changes nothing. I've tried reinstalling...no luck. If I run each skyproc patch individually it works but damn what a pain haha. I loved only having to run all the patchers once. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jason Oh, and how bout a big round of applause for Neovalen and his new mod and wonderful guide!!!! I suggest we all donate to the man!!!! Link to comment
statmonster
Jason, there have been a few posts on the DSR comments section noting problems using SUM and DSR, they often seemed to occur when also using SkyRe. A solution someone used was to run all the rest through SUM but use basic SkyProc for DSR. (I think.) I've never used SUM so have no idea how it works or what the issues are. See https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/955872-dual-sheath-redux/page-10#entry7712463. Hope this helps. Link to comment
WilliamImm
Actually, I ran SUM with this mod and ReProccer, and it appeared to work fine. Don't know why others are having problems with it. Link to comment
statmonster
I wonder (with no real basis) if the issue is a memory problem - maybe if you have too many mods and are using too many procs and don't have enough memory or the memory set up right it just collapses. This might explain why it seems to behave so idiosyncratically. Link to comment
Neovalen
congrats to release :) would you share your future plans? like suppporting WoB/DoPB positioning with custiom sheath meshes?? ^^ that would be logical evolution, as there are tons of ppl using skeleton modifications :D just from curiosity, which DSpSoB unfixed problems are you reffering to at you nexus mod desc page? i am using that mod with various male and female RR-compatible skeletons and custom draw/sheathe animations, and except the weird 1HD sword meshes with weapons on back, it seems to me to work as intended...Weapons on back, dagger on back type placement is already achieved if you use the XP32 Maximum Skeleton variants.Did you get the Skyforge weapons texture pack s sue figured out for DSR's proc? I don't see any notes regarding it, so I guess the answer is yes. P.S. I thought the brown looked better. Honestly I started with brown and migrated to grey... lol to each their own I guess.Has the pre-cache killer fixed the issues with Apachii causing crashes - I assume so. Neovalen
Upcoming changes for Skyrim Revisited (I don't have time to update the actual guide tonight but...): - Add "Point The Way" - took a quick look and it edits the Riften location by deleting a bunch of pointers, however, I trust Arthmoor not to do anything that will royally screw something up. - Remove "Lantern Caretakers", Reason: Little benefit, taking up multiple esp slots due to patches. (would add yet another one with Point The Way...) - Remove "Psychosteves Golden Gods Shrines", replace with "Shrines HD" to follow STEP. Golden shrines do look out of place at wilderness shrines/poor areas. Upcoming changes for Dual Sheath Redux: - Fix beast form, vampire form, and player changing race(via showracemenu). Currently they "stop" the effect, save and reload will fix. Will be included next version update. - Going to increase the memory allocation for the patcher, hope that helps some people with long mod lists having issues. Many of them seem to be general SkyProc problems though, not specific to my mod. Does not happen with SR. - Mesh packs in work, but time consuming. Mesh editing guide in work also but slowly since I'm having to fix things and it's a holiday :). Link to comment

I think it can be not the only reason. may be long names/path to file restrictions with user's file system can also bring up issues with patchers. And thanks for information about updates^_^ Link to comment
Kal
On the off-chance someone has come across this themselves (and to save me having to disable everything from SR and troubleshoot it one mod at a time, urgh) - I'm getting a consistent crash if I select the standard Helgen start. It happens without fail at the point where you meet Hadvar, after Alduin attacks - immediately after Hadvar's dialogue, "That a boy" and just before "So you're still alive prisoner?" it CTDs. I'm using strict SR as it stands this morning (after the recent updates to the unofficial patches, adding the new aMidian and Apachii hair.) Any chance this rings a bell with anyone? Link to comment
Aiyen
Have you done any DDSopt on the various foundation mods ? Since helgen is really intensive memory and texture wise compared to many other regions. You can also try to save just before it does it, quit to menu and reload... should help a little bit if it is memory related. Other then that try to disable Alternative start and see if the problem persists. Also with helgen I sometimes get a CTD there or a frezze. I do not use Alternative start and have done full optimizations... a reload always fix it. Link to comment

Disabling Alt Start seems to have done the trick though! I don't know what to make of that. I haven't done any further DDSOpting beyond the baseline in SR, so just Vanilla + the DLC. Are people generally processing the big texture addons as well, then? Or are you literally processing all your textures? Link to comment
Iroha
I've run helgen start to the jail room of fortress (died there) without CTD's/freezing/any glitches. DDOpting of all textures isn't really nessersary, maybe for texture mods like flora overhaul. I don't think textures cause your stable ctd. It may be animations (run fnis)/ dialogue topics /quest progression. Link to comment
