Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Morning guys....Finally some progress...got everything installed and its finally loading up normal. 2 problems remain...my character doesn't walk or move....he sort of hovers and floats over the ground. I can move him but it looks like he is flying. Any suggestions on where to begin trouble shooting that?

Second problem is when I try and add automatic variants as an executable and direct it to java...says something like doesn't support 64 bit version? Does that mean I need to download a 32 bit version of java?

First issue more priority though...thanks guys

Okay, I appear to have a successful install of Revisited. *party horns*

However, it appears that there are two textures (just the two that I've found) that are feeling fabulous and/or that Skyrim apparently can't find.  I tried disabling Tobes, as I figured that was the culprit (being the highest priority for things that appeared to be wooden furniture) to no avail.

It appears that a specific kind of wooden bench table and all iron chains are missing their textures.  Here are a couple screenshots:

Any ideas on what the conflict could be?

I've had problems with skyrim redesigned but alright now, just needed to be re-downloaded and reinstalled. I don't think those are from that mod though, could be SMIM, try re-downloading and reinstalling. Some files don't survive the download process unfortunately.

I don't have SRO, I used to but the files got corrupted in parts so I deleted the lot. Then SRO went down - I am not familiar with Torrents I did try to get SRO that way but when all was downloaded there seemed to be errors cropping up when I tried to install them so deleted those and have not bothered about it since. I am using version 2 of SHD and my skyrim looks fine to me, so am I missing out without SRO?

Everyone seems to have it as a must have but it does seem to be quite difficult to get hold of,

Got it in one.  Thanks a bunch!

Edit: Reinstall fixed it. Thanks again!

@Neovalen

"Insanity Sorry AV Package" should be "Insanity Sorrow AV Package" :) Freud is your Freund.

Doing a complete SR reinstall and ddsopt on Sky HD, SRO, Serious HD and Flora Overhaul. Not sure whether to include TreesHD or not.

2 minor problems persist. First when installing skyui 3.4 through MO...I keep getting an error message saying skse is not installed....when it already is.

If I install it anyway it seems to work except I also get an error accessing the map...saying it has an incompatible map.swf? Reinstallation didn't help. I thought that maybe the Nat another colored map markers skyui 3.3 patch was maybe no longer needed but again that didn't seem to help when deactivating.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance, Jason

Press ~ to bring up the console and click on the table. It should display the objref ID. Write it down. (Think you can get the base object ID by typing in something like GetBaseObject, but it shouldn't matter.) Exit the game and load up TES5Edit and select all your ESPs. In the very top left corner, type in the objref ID you wrote down earlier into the FormID field and press Enter. You'll be taken to a record, key line being the "NAME - Base" one. Hold down Ctrl and click on the object in that line. From there, you'll likely be shown a static object record, which will display the mesh it's using in the "MODL - Model Filename" line. Open that NIF using NifSkope and find out which texture DDS files it's using, then do a file search to find all mods that replace those NIF/DDS files.

[My Skyrim isn't currently in a very playable state, so some of the above instructions are from memory.]

Most likely, the issue is an invalid mesh (NIF)/texture (DDS) combination. For example,

Skyrim: vanilla mesh + vanilla texture

Mod 1: new mesh + new texture

Mod 2: replacement for vanilla texture, incompatible with Mod 1's new mesh

Jason and statmonster... just update the colored map icon mod.. they have a skyui 3.4 patch up now and the problem should be fixed... If you do not want to deal with it and wait until neo gets time to update the guide with this whole skyui stuff then just use skyui 3.1 as it works fine. All these skyui issues are because the authors have decided to make some big changes in the way Skyui works which is not really compatible with a lot of mods.. although most of the faults are fixed now in version 3.4... at least I do not have any issues atm even got wet and cold back so I am happy.

SFO should already be optimized enough.
