Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I am running quite a stable game now, managed to get out of Castle Dour at last (re-did all the SR edits and checked mod list). I have no problems with frame rates rarely goes below 59.1 but my game does still freeze at random points which means I probably don't have my textures as well optimised as I could. Not sure how to improve those further I guess perhaps reducing the normals in the Bethesda texture packs is the next thing to try. That said it doesn't happen often.

I have almost the same system as Neo but only one card, CPU is not overclocked yet, and only 8GB DRAM on a Z77 Sabretooth board. I am running Sky Realism's Vibrant ENB with RLO and CoT. I have taken alot of screenshots but there seems to be no easy way to post them on here - it seems I need to put them online somewhere then hyperlink to them any suggestions for where to put them?

Looks F@^%$4g awesome though.

P.S. please excuse my French.

Dropbox seemed to be aimed at companies but maybe I missed something. I will have a look at photo bucket as well.

Thanks, hopefully will get screenies up soon.

With this many mods installed then the occasional game freeze is inevitable...It is most likely not due to any hardware issue.

Also with CoT and RLO installed then you are bound to get some more complications since those mods are not really optimized. Heck even CoT needs cleaning which just makes one wonder what else is hiding... but not much point in spending a long amount of time trying to figure it out when the major update is just around the corner.

Atm I am doing the crazy lighting show with a combination of CoT , RLO+ELFX and then RL for the DLC packs since the others do not cover them yet. But I only have the long load issue sometimes. This is most likely because of the new version ENB... but damn I would not go without the new optimizations to SSAO.. I can run them at improved quality levels now without framerate drops, which is actually quite nice.

Ok I did miss something with dropbox - it's so simple even I can use it proof below.

Fraps is clearly not a great screenshot tool but there is enough here to get the gist - they look alot better in game. I really like this combination but I suspect it could be improved. DoF is not too annoying with this ENB. I will post more limit is 10.

Edit:Not sure why they aren't all showing up - bugger!

I just clicked on the pic in dropbox to copy image address then pasted that in the add picture link box directly in the post. I can see the images only 8 of the 40 odd I took and they work like all posted images I've seen on this site. Is there a better method? I don't get why you can't see them.

I have to share the photos into a public folder first before they will appear on here?

Edit: I've just shared my photo folder and taken the snaps from there maybe they will appear now.

Having some interesting issue with Automatic Variants executable.

It was working fine yesterday, however now whenever I click on "Open" next to Texure Variants, the window doesn't load the options pane in the center like it normally should. It changes the header in the middle, and you get the 4 buttons at the bottom - but the main panel that loads all of the SkyProc data doesn't appear.

Has anyone had this happen before and know of a resolution?

Thanks.

Resolved, appears while reinstalling the AV packages, this time out of 100s, they decided to go read-only.

Heading home from work now... excited to continue development on Dual Sheath Redux... reminds me why I became a programmer in the first place.

Having fixed the last ctd problem (was caused by an alternative adec skeleton) I've discovered that SRO (2048 version) is causing a ctd when approaching windhaven when approaching the big bridge from the west. Hmmm.

Continuing day 3 of running through this install (loving the attention to detail in this). Found a typo in the directions for Guard Dialogue Overhaul. At the bottom of the TESVEdit section it reads:

  Quote

Expand "Dialog Topic">"0A00C497" and select the "000D5EC0" node.

This should be:

  Quote

Expand "Dialog Topic">"0400C497" and select the "000D5EC0" node.

Also it might be helpful for people who already have a couple of these apps installed prior to running through SR to have a note near the Creation Kit section mentioning that if you have to set it up manually, it's necessary to check Overwrite Steam AppID with 202480 otherwise the CK won't load any of the mods installed using MO.

That took me a little bit of hair pulling to figure out lol. Thanks.
