Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

This to be expected. Even when fully conflict resolved and properly set up Skyrim is not bug free nor the best engine and is prone to CTD even in vanilla. That being said' date=' SR:LE is very stable in its present form. I cannot speak for SkyRe, CCO, etc. as I do not have them in the guide. Safety Load, while preventing infinite load screen issues can sometimes cause the game to crash opening a menu (I have not seen this myself). If thats where most of your CTD occur, you could try changing the Safety Load ini setting to only be active during load screens, but that removes freeze protection during combat. If you can live with one CTD every 30 minutes to 3 hours, I would leave it alone... well worth not having the dreaded combat freeze or ILS bug[b'] that requires a complete reboot[/b] when in full screen. A CTD just requires a quick reload.

Not true - in fullscreen you can just ctrl+alt+delete to bring up taskmanager and kill TESV.exe - this may only work because of the skse-elys-altf4 mod (I haven't checked) but it still doesn't require a reboot.

Hello Neo, thank you for the reply, I think I should have written a bit more... I wasn't asking you to consider to add De-Larp :) just wanted to hear your thoughts because I am considering it, I do not want to impose on your work. That said though, I think Boss Masterlist was updated with the

The Eyes Of Beauty - Elves Edition.esp AFTER TheEyesOfBeauty.esp.

So that perhaps could be scratched from the guide.

Hello Neo, I have a feeling I'm quickly getting up in your "leave me right enough alone already list" :)

But it is well intended...

I write user documentation at a QA department, so I know the feeling of doing a lot of work and then having to hear you forgot to put one single word in italic lol.

Quick recap for today:

The Eyes Of Beauty - Elves Edition.esp AFTER TheEyesOfBeauty.esp. is active in Boss Masterlist - So that perhaps could be scratched from the guide.

OBIS - Organized Bandits in Skyrim - updated today to 1.6B - TES5 no longer shows any dirty edits.

aMidianBorn Book of Silence - armors

Instructions contain adding Steel and Wolf Grey Fur

  • textures\armor\steel
  • textures\armor\wolf
While overwritten later on with the lose armor edits - aMidianBorn Steel Armor RC4 / aMidianBorn Wolf Armor and Skyforge Weapons.

But I have a feeling here that it is just thinking ahead here on your part for when they eventually get added.

Kinda trivial but there are multiple references to:

0000003C Tamriel

Conflicting Module(s): Too many to count

Conflict Resolution: Use record from Dragonborn.esm.

Problem Resolved: Unknown, record is referred to as Map Height Data.

Which I am assuming should read "Max Height Data"?

Heyja Neo, thought I'd let you know:

aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Weapons\textures\weapons\iron.

The Iron Quiver .dds and .ndds are missing the iron prefix (are named just quiver) so will not get used. Rename with the prefix iron.

Also only missing iron texture is the shortsword. Dropped a short line on the Nexus about this as well.

I've used a combination of the original guide and the Legendary guide to clean and resolve conflicts in the mods I've installed. Since the new guide doesn't use RLO or CoT I decided to use a hybrid.

I know I have way too many mods installed for my current playthrough, and I already get a few CTDs and frozen screens even at level 7. I think I have about 250 mods installed and 240 ESPs. But even if I don't make it to level 40 I have to say that I ABSOLUTELY ENJOY each and every mod I've been using and they make the game very enjoyable. Every hour I play is so so much fun. And that's enough for me this playthrough!

STEP is taking the approach of merging patches to lighten the load on the plugin cap' date=' do you think that's a viable option for Skyrim Revisited?[/quote']

It could be. However, I somehow doubt I'd get close to 255 plugins. Now if we need to stay under 128 (as some have mentioned) then it will be required.

The comments section for AMB says this is ok and intended. So will ignore. :)

Hi Neo' date='

Touring Carriages has been updated to v.2.1.6 on 5th January. As this version is not updated in the guide, u have any reasons to believe that we should not upgrade?

Thanks!

[/quote']

Already updated before I saw this, but thanks for mentioning. I had updated and forgot to update the guide.
