Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

New version of SMIM is out. ( https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8655 )

  • SMIM'd the Cave Lantern meshes to have proper 3D ropes, more curved basins, and better texture mapping. Thanks to raiserfx for the high resolution cave lantern texture I edited for the SMIM'd meshes.
  • Changed the Smelter mesh charcoal pile to now uses a high resolution texture instead of the ugly default texture. The Smelter mesh itself is untouched so far, but it does need some SMIMing in the future.
  • Added 3D chains to one of the anchors I missed before (shipkatariahanchorwheel01.nif).
  • Added 3D chains to one of the ship chains specific to Katariah (shipkatariahanchorchain01.nif). This mesh isn't used by the game, but I included it in case modders use it.

In the current LE guide, SMIM needs optimization with 2048x2048 capped color maps and 1024x1024 capped normals. There are quite a few missing mips and a few grayscale conversions during the process. As far as install options: Install Everything Dragonborn DLC.

You tease...alright I'll bite, what's the current status of the Legendary Edition?! Any ETA on when we can start fiddling with new installs and proofing the guide?

Still the .esp not needed?

That's per USKP so I don't think you need it but not positive.

I remember from reading the author's posts that the USKP is still missing 4 fixes that are in the ESP, but 4 fixes vs another ESP in the load order? Pretty sure I can do without the 4 fixes until the USKP rolls them in.

Hey mate can you at least tell us if you have included which patches to merge in the new guide. Because I don't know about you but ~230 .esp/esm seems like alot to me. I was going to try my hand at following Kelmych's guide but if you have it in your new one I'd prefer to use yours.
