Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Going to look at the SoS series tonight as well as SPO/Footsteps.

If anyone has insights on these mods please do say something. Makes my job easier.

I'm using them, but not footsteps atm. SPO has a few small issues such as sounds getting stuck in a loop (rarely) but will be fixed soon apparently. They work well together and there's patches available for SoS to work with CoT, SPO and RLO. It also requires patches for cloak of Skyrim, book covers etc that I've made for myself (also for Vilja for those who use it) unless the boss reordering williaminn did the other day fixed all of those. Might've been a clash with alternate start or two as well, but it's all cell-conflicts pretty much and easy to fix. Just too many patches if you use all unless you merge them (I made my own for everything before he released patches and kept those to avoid having 20 patches :p )

Hi Neo,

As per your last update, you added DSAMG - Dragon Soul More Glorious, in which you recommend version 1.2 and MUSIC 1 - E3 DEMO VERSION for male character, MUSIC 1A - E3 DEMO VERSION for female character. As per the files available on mod's page there isn't any version 1.2 for subject reccomendations nor any clarification between male and/or female.

Is this a typo from your side or I am missing something?

Thanks!

I think he's saying if you play a male character load the one and if you play a female load the other.  If you play both, pick one.
The nice thing with MO is you can pick pick and just quickly toggle from one to the other.

Anyone have any opinion on which of the any options is "best"?

Well... my opinion is obviously known based on the guide. Lol

Tbh closer quivers shouldn't be used with the cheskos version, it causes some clipping as cheskos mesh already puts the quiver closer to the body

This could explain why all the NPCs I saw after installing have the quivers inside their bodies. On my character it looks great though.

Also, the weird side sheath problem I was having was fixed by reinstalling immersive animations and running FNIS!

Are there any others tags you have stumbled across in SR that you would recommend?

EDIT - P.S. What is TES5Edit script that checks for needed tags?

Open TES5Edit and when it is done loading select a mod, then right click and select "Apply Script", and select the "Bash tags Autodetection" script. It doesn't necessarily list all the appropriate tags, but it is a good start. It also includes some tags that I don't think have been added to WB yet.

Yeah no tags except for delev/relev work for skyrim yet sadly. They're for Oblivion only

In Alternate Startt when I do:

"Expand "Dialog Topic">"00038731" and select the "0006541A" node.

Right-click on the "Conditions" line of Alternate Start - Life Another Life.esp and select "Add" twice.

Drag the two conditions from Hearthfires.esm to the two newly created slots in Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp so it contains all 4 conditions."

I only get three conditions as there were two in Hearthfires and only one in Live Another Life to start with.

Uncheck "Hide Non-Conflict Rows" and you will see 4! Magic. ;)

@neovalen- a suggestion for the wiki now that an ENB is part of SR would be to provide instruction on what changes should be reversed in nvidiainspector.exe for use with the ENB.

Unless you're a regular here and experienced user, many may simply not know that some of the setup early in the guide re: nvidiainspector needs to be undone.

Just a thought...

Already there under RealVision ENB tweaks.

So are you saying that the below is the only thing that needs to be done in regards to nvidia users?

Nvidia Users: Open the enbseries.ini, change "ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true" to "ForceAnisotropicFiltering=false" as the driver is doing this for you

I was under the impression that we'd have to jump back into nvidiainspector.exe and make some sort of change to the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim profile. So whether you use an ENB or not, the changes made as part of the earlier nvidia profile changes are valid. Right?

Thanks for the clarification!

EDIT - More info: So it took me going back to look at the original nvidia inspector recommendations to find that it does warrant a trip back into nvidiainspector.exe to perform the following recommended changes from the wiki author:

Note: Any ENBSeries version after v0.119 no longer has support for hardware AA. So if you're planing on using an ENB which uses a version newer than v0.119 please turn AA off here in the drivers. The ENBSeries v0.139 and above now offers edge antialiasing which is similar to MSAA, but with more blur. For a better AA solution with ENB, use SMAA Injector.

So for ENB users, we do need to hop back in there after going through your guide (before ENB is ever mentioned), and turn AA Behavior Flags to "off" and AA-TS to "off".

I've been using the Texture Pack Combiner for awhile (and am fortunate enough to have a copy of Skyrim Realistic Overhaul still). Of course, I can't help but notice that many of the mods in SR are also included in the TPC, and in the past I've been simply skipping them in favor of TPC during the installation. But you also make very specific recommendations for which files to include or leave out, and of course the installation order overwrites some textures with others - which leaves me wondering: Can you tell me whether the end result is similar?
