Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

I know BOSS doesn't show any tags for it, that is why it needs to be done manually (it's the same for quite a few mods out there actually, as BOSS needs to be manually updated with this info and that can take time/be missed). I had a look at the file with the script that checks for needed relev/delev tags in tes5edit and it suggested both (makes sense when looking over the leveled lists it changes, as it does delete "FoodBeefCooked" and replaces it with well, everything else. When I first recommended only using relev, that was what I tried at first just to see if that would fix the missing records being copied over.

Easier to explain via a picture so here you go. Just find the bottomright section, rightclick, and have it like this:

Boss does not show any tags for RND.  Are you advocating both a delev and relev tag? Or just relev like your previous post said?
@Vond: Thanks!

@statmonster: xEdit has a Bash tag autodetection script: using it on RND produces the notification it should be tagged relev; sounds about right since IIRC RND does not remove anything (which I recall is what necessitates the DELEV tag) but adds things to leveled lists, hence RELEV.

It does delete the record I mentioned in my edit of the post above, unless you've manually copied those over earlier before when doing changes to make the mod more USKP compatible. :)

Thanks for taking the time to do this (and pass it on).  I really appreciate it.

Should these tags be carried over to its various patches?

Are there any others tags you have stumbled across in SR that you would recommend?

EDIT - P.S. What is TES5Edit script that checks for needed tags?

Just an FYI update.  I'm lvl 20 right now in a full playthrough, that I started some 10-15 days ago.  There is definitely a progressive rise in the instability and memory use, particularly with Realvision ENB at high settings.  It definitely requires frequent use of the coc command to get yourself out of annoying infinite load screens.

I thought for a long time that I could get by with just the reduced normal maps from the main texture packs, but in the end, that's just not realistic.  So I went with the 1k version of SRO/SHO and a few others, and the situation is much improved.  Every once and awhile it requires disabling the ENB temporarily.

Also, I have a theory that hardware AA with ENB 119 doesn't impact VRAM/RAM problems in the game engine in the same way as the ENB SMAA/edge AA does.  B/c my memory situation seems far more stable with the former (even when its cranked up significantly higher than the SMAA).  Just an observation.

Biggest problem areas so far. Whiterun by a country mile. Its actually easy to stress test your system by zoning into whiterun from another texture intensive place, then walk into Jorvasskr and exit, then the inn and out, and breezehome and exit.. All this with a follower.

Nah haven't really noticed anything else from SR that didn't get properly copied over into the bashed patch :)

By the way, you may want to use the particle patch and WATER compatbility optionals from the RealVision ENB page. Apparently, the particle patch had too fast of a update rate to be included in RLO efficently, so using the provided one from Realvision or the ENB forums will work.

Also, according to the Particle Patch forum, the patch should be loaded before Ulimate HD Fire Effects. I'd put it just before myself, but you can place it where you feel it fits.

If it's the only thing without a rule it will always load last - where it should be. Still having a rule would help eliminate any concern over it when quickly checking for errors when using BOSS.

Kinda my point. Same with Skyrim Project Optimization, it loads last but for the continuing influx of new folks to the SR process - it may cut down on inquiries.
