  1. Ahh ok. I had just assumed Neovalen plus LOTD would reduce performance but I see where you are recommending ditching SFO, adding enhanced landscapes, and also tweaking Vivid Weathers. Should I get better performance going forward and following the new guide or try to fix fps before I start?
  2. I've only been looking at Neovalen's page and haven't looked at this one: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Darth_mathias/SRLE_Extended Should I go through this and make any ini changes? Basically, do any of your changes (not necessarily mod additions) improve upon SRLE performance?
  3. Ok I'll try the perf version of Vividian again or like you said a different enb. Over the weekend I tried the perf version and didn't see much of a difference. When I do a Shift F12 to turn off enb I don't see a drastic increase in FPS. I also have been using the mediums etting of dyndolod as well. It almost feels like something is locked to around 30 fps. Also, to add I did go to the Vanilla Skyrim profile and confirmed I'm getting a solid 60 in Helgen at 1440p so at least I know the vanilla isn't locked or anything. That is with the ENB as well. I also read to uncheck Solitude Exterior to assist with the Solitude FPS drop but haven't tested that. Again, thank you everyone! G
  4. Ok I updated the iPresentInterval in SkyrimPrefs. Is that what you meant? I went ahead and set it to 0 there. I also dropped down again to 1080p, killed depth of field/detailed shadows and I'm still 25-35 near Whiterun. It must be the 2k textures. I just find this fps too unacceptable so I guess I'll just start deactivating some mods to see what the real culprit is. :( When I disable the ENB altogether now I do not see a drastic bump up in frames.
  5. Ok will do. Do you have any other Geforce Control Panel settings you'd recommend to have off or on?
  6. Yes, I definitely see it. So last night I repartitioned my Hybrid Sata disk and loaded Win7 on it in dual boot. Now I'm running the exact copy of Skyrim but from Win7 and now the graph definitely spikes over 4 gb. The framerate is better around Whiterun/Riverbed about 10fps and consistently in 30s/40s except right when you look at Riverwood on the bridge (upper teens). So I'm definitely seeing improvements. I still have some crazy stutter going on throughout but I'll continue to tweak. I uploaded the latest graph that starts with Vividian ENB Performance in Whiterun, Riverwood, and then Solitude and then I enabled the ENB Default version (you'll see the dip in the graph when I make the switch). This is when you see it bump over 4 gb. I'll go check out Darth's guide and see what he offers. Thanks again Ron for your help here.
  7. Ok I just uploaded another screenshot of a graph where I left Whiterun and then went to Solitude. I walked around Solitude and then went to the docks. It was pretty bad...teens-30s. It's on the same drive link above. By the way..this was on 1080p. There seems to be no real difference for me in fps between 1080p and 1440p.
  8. Ok I'm not pegged at 3.9 nonstop but it's definitely in the 3.5-4.0 almost the entire time playing. I uploaded the graph. I followed the guide pretty much completely on the 2k textures. ENB off definitely seems to be it (or at least masks it) and FPS shoots up consistently.
  9. I uploaded my geforce control panel settings, .inis, and mod organizer info here. Disregard the one above. If you guys don't mind taking a look to help me pinpoint an issue I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. Gary
  10. Apparently the drive had issues so I went forward with the SMP. It doesn't appear that I am over 4gb ever but do get close a few times (3.9). CPU and GPU seem ok as well. Here are some 1080p and 1440p screens around Whiterun and Riverwood. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B63V-a1S8NAbNGtUdXhMVm03dW8
  11. Thanks all. I found a 500 gb sata so in the process of just going ahead with the dualboot. When I check the CPUs when playing they don't seem maxed out at all and I haven't checked SPM. I figured what the heck.
  12. Ron, I built SRLE after watching your vids and following the guide. However, I'm stuck around 25-45 fps outdoors and 60+ indoors at 1440p/980ti. I've been hearing from some to switch from Windows 10 back to Windows 7. I'm thinking of dual booting. What do you think? If I was consistently 40+ outdoors that'd be great but 50% of the time it seems less than 45. I've done the two low FPS options at the bottom of the guide as well as tried 1080p to not much benefit. Thanks, Gary
  13. by the way I just realized that I'm running SRLE and not SRLE - LOTD so no Enhanced Landscapes here.
  14. Are we talking higher FPS or what? I definitely don't want to rebuild SRLE from scratch. Do you think I could forklift move it to my new partition of Win7 or bite the bullet and rebuild?
  15. See I tried 1080p and I didn't see much of a difference. I checked Enhanced Landscapes last night and I didn't see it in my list. Does it appear under a different name in MO? I do have Vivid Landscapes. As for Windows 10, is it worth it to dual boot to Win7 just to play SRLE? Will you see that much of a performance gain?
  16. 980ti / 1440p win10 and I get 30's outside Whiterun, 40's walking to Riverwood, and near Riverwood it drops to teens/20s :( I'm up for some recommendations. Thanks.
