  1. Anyone any ideas where to start?
  2. Thanks for that i figured it was a BB code thing but couldn't see on the help page for the forum. Â I've updated my original post with the loadorder I know was working fine. The mods that were added are listed below (taken from a save made after they were added). Â However I went back to a Save that was way back when it worked fine so these mods were not present in the save at all (using Mod Organiser so wouldn't have been present in the Skyrim data folder either). high Hrothgar overhaul Dawn of riften Dawn of whiterun dawn of Windhelm Provincial courier service Qaxes Winderhold rebuild Dynamic auto sortint system
  3. Hi all.  Hoping someone can help as I'm a little lost.  I'm not completely new to Skyrim modding but I'm very much at the understanding a guide and following it than going off to far on my own thing. I have a load order I based off the VEGA Core pack on the wiki (including all the patches etc).  I essentially started with this pack installing it exactly to the guide then created a new profile and started adding in my own mods a few at a time keeping away from some nice to add mods due to scripts or the sheer amount of compatability patches they need (like Wet & Cold or Duel sheath etc). I've added mods as I've gone along but always created a save before adding anythign new so I had a point to go back to if it went wrong. I seem to have been fine since I've been careful about the mods I add and where they fall into my load order etc.  However I recently added some more mods (nothing script heavy or that should really have caused a problem) but suddenly found Skyrim either CTDing or Stopping working.  I removed the mods (recreating my bashed patch, re-running the reproccer as advised int he VEGA guide etc) then went back to my pre-updating save however the game now seems to stop working within a minute of me getting into combat (seems to last longer when just walking around if I avoid fighting but even then after a while it'll stop responding).  I've tried turning on Papyrus logging and looking in there but I'm not really sure what I'm looking at.  I've also gone back to an older save where i KNOW the game was working fine (I'd actually been doing a lot of combat after this point with no issues) and this also CTD's.  If I had added a mod which caused issues I could certainkly understand but with it suddenly just stopping working on a previously fine load order and modlist I'm confused and don't know where to start.  I can't figure out for the life of me how to add a spoiler window so don't want to list my load order since it'll hog the entire page  but have attached a zip containing my papyrus logs as well as my SKSE logs since this includes my load order. Edited with load order thanks to Aiyen logs.zip
  4. the original request was about additional DDSOPT suggestions being added by Neovalen to SRLE hence why posted here. Â It's since evolved into a discussion about the main STEP page.
  5. Thanks for explaining so I'm guessing best way to look at it is that unless there is a "yes" in one of the first two columns then its not worth optimising or is that too simple? Also just a suggestion. Â Since most people will most likely do a CTRL-F to search for a mod on the page maybe putting the "no optimisation needed" mods in a separately labelled table to make it clear which ones should and shouldn't be optimised. That way it would be easier for people to tell what to do and not while also keeping the mod listed on the page so you aren't constantly bombarded with "but what about this mod?" questions. Â Instead they can see that you know about it, have checked it and just found its not worth doing.
  6. Thanks for responding. Â i've seen that table before though and find it a little confusing to understand in places. Â For example Consistent older people is on there and has a "no" in every column but then has a recommended resolution? Â Does that mean that you shouldn't Optimise it because it won't make a difference or that you SHOULD optimise it with these resolutions? Â Personal opinion but if a mod is not improved (or not been found to improve by the STEP team) would it be best to remove mods from the list that don't need to be Optimised (either because no benefit or it breaks the textures) then state at the top that if it's not on the list you do not need to?
  7. Hi there General question for anyone who might know the answer I've done a search on DDSOpt on this forum but couldn't find anything definitive other than it appears some suggestions from earlier in the year have been removed. At the moment SRLE only includes prompts to DDSopt the bethesda textures and also the Falkskaar and the other "expansion" mod whose name escapes me. Â Is there going to be more suggestions on Mods that need DDSopt ran at a later date once the guide is close to completion or is it a case that most other mods have already been optimised by the mod makers now so no longer necessary (I know Cabals mods are already optimised and the suggested download of SRO also comes pre optimised). At the moment I'm not wanting to go too far into the guide as I want to wait for Neovalen to finish but I've completed upto optimising the Vanilla textures then stopped before configuring the ENB on the theory that this part is stable and unlikely to change but if there are any other mods that need Optimising I might do them in advance to save time later since it can take so long (and also for practice as its not something I've done much!)
  8. Agreed and as I said I am not trying to rush him. Â I am simply saying if it will be done in a couple of months (not down to the day or minute) then I'll probably wait as I'll no doubt be following the guide anyway so no point in doing the work twice. Â If it is likely to be 5-6 months or a year off then I would bite the bullet and try figure out exactly what is causing the issue in my current build (which as you know with so many bods and patches could be anything - especially as the Papyrus logs aren't helping). There is certainly no need to shout.
  9. Hi  there.  I can see Neovalen has put an update up a few days ago saying he is taking a break and this post is in no way an attempt to hurry him up but I was wondering if there is any sort of rough ETA for the Legendary edition being completed? Reason asked is I completed a SR installation a month or so back then attempted to add SKYRE to it (using the guide on the forums here) but had massive issues getting it to work (something to do with the reproccer and ASIS having issues)  I finally got the game to a bootable state however it tends to crash a lot specifically when entering certain interiors. I've not had the heart to try figure out the fault but before I did wanted to see how far off SR:LE is?  As this seems to be using different mods and lighting etc plus goes into more detail about DDSopT cleaning it might be best to wait and do a fresh install from this but if it's pretty damn far off I might bite the bullet and see if I can get it more stable.
