  1. Lol clever. You know what...looking at my mem usage last night I hardly broke 2k system ram...maybe I'm done optimizing; its getting harder and harder to look at it as the source of freezes/ctds. I froze once attacking a witch in the wilds last night; I froze earlier that day attacking a vampire who rushed me in a house. I'm starting to think maybe TK Histop is the source of these combat freezes? Has anyone had issues with this mod? I already removed TK Dodge because of all the screwy animation issues it caused, maybe TK Histop and TK Recoil should follow suit.
  2. Ive optimized the entire folder to 1024 (shouldn't effect the other mods I've already optimized right? Â Going to wait to see if someone can give me an issue with this approach before transferring them all over.
  3. I'm thinking of ddsopting my ENTIRE folder with 2048 constraint (so it doesn't actually change the size). Â Then removing blood and water from my optimized folder. Â This will make sure every single texture in my game is ddsopted formatted but not resized...is this a good idea? Â I just use Boss and BUM for load order...is there anything else I should be using?
  4. Hey guys, good news.  I managed to fix improved closed face helmets by disabling the imp-no cloth esp.  Also it seems like I have fixed immersive weapons and armors with Skyre by following this thread https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/835730-balbors-skyre-plugin-for-hothtrooper44-immersive-armors-6/page-88 .  So if anyone was having similar problems to me hopefully this helps.
  5. for a collection of 4 hours of game play last night and tonight ive had one ctd just travelling in the wilds and 1 freeze (a vampire attacked me in a house and a bunch of spells were thrown at once). Â I'm thinking of deleting immersive weapons/armors...maybe that will add stability. Â Also those two mods don't seem to be compatible with Skyre, there statistics are WAY out of wack in regards to Skyre. I'm also going to retry the frostfall suggested papyrus settings and see which one works best.
  6. In regards to trouble shooting ctds/freezes. Would a good place to start be removing mods that are non functional in game? The esps clearly are conflicting with something...maybe it extends past non functionality to malignancy. I'm thinking of axing the four improved closed face helmets esps; its not like they do their job or anything.
  7. Interesting testing grounds. Â Well I was using these weird cpu tweaks and deviant papyrus settings when I posted last night. Â I went back to bread and butter ini settings last night after posting and managed to play for 2 hours straight. Â *fingers crossed
  8. Still freezing outside. Â Seems to be less but its still there. Â What should I try next? Â Removing SMIM?
  9. Ok. Â So I finished optimizing a crap load of mods... Â I played for about 30 minutes and was able to complete the outdoor quest I kept ctding on. Â System ram peaked at 1.8 and vram peaked at about 1.5. Â I didn't notice any quality degradation or missing textures. Â Ofcourse I didn't play for very long and this is something I find myself doing...I take a break after a small victory so I can wear a smile on my facefor a little bit before I ultimately start ctding again. Â I do not have any other plans after this so hopefully this is finally it. Â Those memory statistics are about as low as anyone could hope for I'd like to think. Â On a side not my improved closed face helmets still isn't working so I', prob just going to give up on it.
  10. Arent you not supposed to optimize water and blood textures or they screw up?
  11. To optimize automatic variants what I would do is copy the relevant folders from mod organizer/mods; optimize them then replace with the new textures right?
  12. Actually I have tried a crap load of other fixes but the ONLY mods I have brought down to 1k are the bethesda Hi resses and/the dlc textures/the SRO textures. Â I have not touched anything else. Â I am organizing a crap load of back up folders for textures optimizations as we speak. Â I have put in all the really small texture folders the mods according to this threads list. Â All other mods that are large im going to optimize to 1k 1k. Â Hopefully this fixes this. Â I literally cannot stand restarting my game anymore after I think I have everything fixed so...I dunno hoping against hope right now. Â Like I said earlier I am usually ctding or freezing around 2.5k ram...but it seems like unoptomized textures just cause ctds on principle. Â When I check my papyrus logs it doesn't say VM thawing or freezing...I can only assume this means its not scripts that are ruining my game. Â It never stops...
  13. Ok, I am still getting freezes and ctds outside and when fighting, seems to ctd when I get attacked by wolves etc. Â I think I will start resizing textures. Â I really hope this fixes my problem because I have tried everything else. The strange thing is I'm not hitting the 3.1 ceiling and I'm stilling getting issues? Weird.
  14. which mods did you run at this "All textures DDSopt`d at 2048x2048 with normals ran at 1024x1024".
  15. I got realistic needs and diseases to work after reinstalling it (pain in the ass). Unfortunately reinstalling did not help improved closed face helmets. Does anyone know if improved closed face helmets is incompatible with Skyre or something???
  16. [Papyrus] fUpdateBudgetMS=800.0 fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=800.0 fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=2000.0 iMinMemoryPageSize=256 iMaxMemoryPageSize=512 iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=153600 These settings seem to have made my game more stable and even perform more consistently. Maybe I will try those cpu ini tweaks to see if it helps as well.
  17. CPU´s would only reach 100% usage in stress tests. Otherwise programs are made up of tiny chunks of data instead of one large continous stream. This means that the CPU performs what is requested and then moves on to the next job. So never read too much into the CPU usage levels, since it makes very little sense to use it as a parameter for performance. The more mods you add etc. the more scripts needs to be run, and the less "room" there is for lighting calculations etc. This all means that there will be a bottleneck eventually and this means a reduction in FPS. Most of the time however the bottleneck is very small and only manifest itself as a drop in FPS rather then a huge lag spike. I see, this is very informative. Thank you. You know what would be interesting. If anyone is using deviant but successful papyrus settings how about you post them and tell us how it has helped your game. Also I saw this itcsolutions site which suggested doing a bunch of INI setting tweaks so the game can utilize your CPU better...does anyone know if it actually works?
  18. Ugh...I absolutely adore that mod and id be loathe to let it go. I'll keep this in mind though.
  19. No problem. Also a new and bigger and better GPU would not help you anyways. Skyrim is a CPU heavy game, and this FPS drop issue is most likely due to some shadow issue in certain parts of the world which kills the FPS. That said even the most powerful CPU would only help so much.. it is simply game engine limitations. The bane of all lighting mods. They cannot add all the light sources they want, since those tax the system by a rather large amount, and shadow calculations get increasingly more and more complex the more stuff that needs to cast a shadow. Which is also why in MANY places you will see light shining through tables etc since if stuff where to cast a shadow it would make performance drop. Must be engine exclusively. I have an And 8350 and it handled this game like a boss. Vanilla with hrdlc I used to have 60 no drops...now its modded I never see my CPU get taxed more than like 40% but the fps can't stay consistent.
  20. Here is my boss log.
  21. Ur suggestion fixed my moonlight, thx. Â Realistic diseases and open faced helmets still not working.
  22. Thank you for talking me out of buying another 680.*hug
  23. Hey guys. Â I have solved my in combat animation glitches by getting rid of tk dodge; so if any of your are having that maybe this will help. Â Also stealing a tomato in the market cured the npc hostility issue. Â I am having the following issues. -Moonlight tales appears twice in mcm menu -improved closed face helmets is non functional -realistic needs and diseases is non functional -random fps drops (honestly it seems to make no difference if I use realvision performance or realvision full...or even if I have enb activated or not; according to the monitor my gpu isn't even being taxed fully when it drops sometimes...I just dont get it)
  24. Ive heard ppl who have this issue do a petty crime like steal an apple and then pay it off...i hope to god this works for me. Â Also Im getting weird animations when i have spells out; like an enemy will attack or lunge at me and I will do the pulling out a sword animation rather than shooting fire (it wears off but still very annoying); i have a hunch its TK dodge mod. Â Anyone else have issues with TK Dodge? Â I'm going to look up how to do a safe removal of mods; I think its called clean save?
  25. just entered dragons reach to turn in a quest and everyone attacked me...looks like it wasn't just riverwood.
