  1. I used the dow version of jkw and started in Whiterun, ran all over, and had no issues. It adds so much but really does look great, much more like the trading hub of whiterun should look. I didn't run into any issues with the navmeshes or UDRs but I didn't have any followers and tried to go everywhere in Whiterun to check it out. I could have been so distracted by the new stuff that I didn't notice some small errors somewhere but I'm fairly certain there weren't any. Still, I'll be happier with it once he gets it fixed.
  2. I had this issue the last game I started and I just took the easy way of turning on god mode during that jump (tgm in the console) and turning it off once that jump was completed. My rule is whatever it takes to get through that buggy intro.
  3. No problem, Teabag. I was finally able to get it to dl so I'll be checking it out soon. I don't have much of a problem with dow either but this looks like it adds quite a bit so, between the two, I'm sure I'll feel it a little bit but I don't think it will be enough to cause me problems. He says it is compatible with Breezehome Fully Upgradable.

For those of you who weren't didn't think Dawn of Whiterun was taxing on your system enough here's a new Whiterun overhaul mod that features a DoW compatible option: JK's Whiterun I haven't been able to dl it yet to check it out but it looks like it adds A LOT to whiterun. Could be nice as long as it doesn't feel like overkill. It looks like there's some stuff outside of Breezehome though so I don't know how well Breezehome Fully Upgradable will work with this.
  5. RAIN by ramccoid His other textures (Snow, leaves, aurora, etc...) are great as well. I liked his Clouds a lot also but I think I prefer Ethereal Clouds more.
  6. I didn't mean to sound so hard on the mod's attempt because it is great IF you only use the mods that it patches (which is quite a few, so it's not like you're leaving too much out). If you use Vividian, however, or ELE (or ELFX - Enhanced, for that matter) it's a lot of patching and, when I finished it all, I wasn't happy with it (mainly due to cot-sounds which, like I said, doesn't seem to randomly add sounds but instead adds what I could only interpret as a constant stream of sounds. A constant background of crickets does add to the ambiance and is realistic but it gets really annoying in your game really fast. Real rain is also annoying with it's HUGE rain drops, even the "thin" version, IMO, and I much prefer RAIN.). I did keep my SOS-ELE-SRLE edits patch separate so I can easily merge it with coming changes to the srle patch so if Neo is interested in adding SOS I could save him some time and send it to him. Adding SOS to Vividian isn't that long of a process though I can see me getting sick of it quickly as more and more Vividian updates are released.
  7. It's not at all compatible with Vividian or ELE. Lot's of patching for little gain is what I discovered. You're better off just bringing the SOS edits forward, leaving COT-sounds out (unless you like a constant, never ending stream of crickets and other sounds that are set to a probablilty of 1), and then making a new patch for the soundspaces of sos that conflict with ELE. It's especially annoying if you use vividian with pure weathers as well, as I do.
  8. Place OBIS after those and use a bashed patch to bring forward the changes from those other mods. The obis and sot page even recommends placing obis after your bashed patch but I just have it after RoE and it seems to work fine for me.
  9. Here's a new enemy ai mod that is really well done: Combat Evolved. I'm using it with ultimate combat and deadly combat and the fighting feels organic and very difficult.
  10. With the new SRLE patch I'm curious if this guide starting the transition to the ETAC-IS merger yet. Is it safe to stop using Raven Rock and Orc Settlements since it sounds like etac 13.0 is going to have those included, as well as numerous other additions?
  11. That's too bad to hear about Beyond Reach. It looked great but I don't know if he's going to fix all of those issues. Maybe by version 4 or 5 he'll have it figured out.
  12. The HLE-SIC is really nice, I agree, and the Skytest Integration Project is a great set as well. It updates the uskp for Skytest but also provides patches for sic, monster mod, and real wildlife. I use RW, which is a great addition with skytest, and also use the modified esp for skytest that SIP provides which removes the additional spawns, making it even more tolerable with RW. Wild horses are a great sight to see when traveling around the plains of Whiterun!
  13. Wow, Beyond Reach looks beyond bad-ass. It sounds like the author still has a bit of work to do on it and a lot of bugs to flesh out but I really like the way it looks. Very dark, very disturbing...my type of mod, indeed. Thanks for mentioning this one, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it. I really want to play with TES Arena but it would take some work to get it to work properly with REGS, I think. If anyone has good idea of what mods to drop to get it to work let me know, I don't see me devoting the time to troubleshooting it myself any time soon.

Sorry, I just followed the instruction from the SRLE page and learned a few other minor things through different forums for different mods but I mainly let the merge script do what it does so I don't think I'm going to have a whole lot of information but feel free to pm and I'll help if I can. I try to keep from merging anything into the misc merges that are masters for something else because it's a pain, and doesn't always work with some weird results, to switch the master in the dependent esp so I'm not sure what problem you'd be having with the srle conflict resolution patch. As far as the smaller merges which are masters, most of those are the same that neovalen does in his guide and are named as they are so they can still be used as a master for the conflict resolution patch. I didn't intend it so much as a "merge guide" as I did just a list of merges I've done that SEEM to work well in game and haven't given me any problems so far.
  15. @Jverv The main installer for the skyre compatible mods has an out of date ccf patch. I don't believe that the ccf update has an installer, you'll just want to overwrite the old ccf or not install ccf from the main installer and install it from the updated ccf file. If I remember correctly the ccf update is the only file in the ccf mod.
  16. EFF 4.10 beta does work with interesting npcs via a new mcm option. As Expired says in a forum post: Also note the sticky: I had a chance to try this last night with Gorr and, sure enough, he initially only had the vanilla style dialog options but had the eff wheel dialog style after using the mcm method. Everything seemed to work great, including what seemed like better sandboxing and invisibility when sneaking (this last one can easily be turned off in the mcm).
  17. @Nearox Good, I'm glad you liked it. The whole mod is very good, yes, but I thought the sfo lod was far beyond anything else I've seen. I'm really hoping that he creates one for sfo but which has the aspens from Realistic Aspen Trees. That would be perfect. I was using the full mod but went back to SDO, after I figured out how to merge the esps, since it does cover a lot of details through the esps that I don't think a simple lod mod is capable of doing. I'm curious though, which lods did you use to fix the problem you are talking about? Using those and overriding SDO would probably be a great solution and still look great.
  18. Sure, but you really need to go through the guides and figure it out. Just using my userlist isn't going to solve your problems. I was looking through your list again (couldn't figure out what a mod was and needed to check now that I'm at my computer. 1) Deadly spell impacts - two fires.esp is a thing? Who knew? 2) Deadly spell impacts is by Isoku? How did I not know that?) and I see you have guardanimations.esp and guardanimationsgdo.esp. You should only have one. Sorry, but there are a lot of things in your list that are causing you some problems so your best bet is to spend some time going through your whole list and the guides to figure it out. I wish I could be more help but it's definitely not something you'll be able to snap your fingers at and instantly solve. I don't use BUM, btw, I just use the BOSS GUI but I mainly just go right to my userlist.txt and change/add/delete what I need. https://pastebin.com/07cDrNs9 I hope that helps.
  19. @tdarkshadow You should go through the srle guide again because you definitely missed a few things. You don't need all of the vividian esps after you merged them but you also still have the ele esps in your list despite having the merged ele esps there as well. I don't understand how the loot algorithm works now because your list is literally almost completely inverted from how boss did mine. I guarantee that many of your ele, elfx, and rw2 edits are getting overridden since loot placed them so high in the load order. This is similar to how mine looked when I used loot and I just went back to boss.
  20. When we rebuild our bash patch should we have any bash settings set for the mmo patch merged patch? (Try saying that 5 times fast)
  21. @thaiusmle I don't know, I haven't done it yet. I dropped the populated mods in favor of asis and haven't done the rs children yet. Running around without the patches, however, and I'm still getting updated kids from inconsequential so I'm not sure what the patches will change. More faces maybe? I don't know if it's worth that much trouble for a bunch of npcs I do my best to ignore anyway. There are a few videos that show how to do it so I would just start there and hopefully that will help.
  22. <-- My ninja face (I wish ninja's had a distinctive sound so I could type that instead but, alas, happy dude wearing sunglasses will have to work). Maybe if I had tried it a little more I would have accepted the changes but some things seemed so out of whack I just immediately went back to boss. My dynamic patches and bashed patch were somewhere in the middle of my order and that really struck me as odd and just wrong. I've gotten so used to opening up the boss userlist, ctl-f, change and done that I'm happy being stubborn about it. Of course, when I say "until I don't have a choice" that means when you, neo, and the mmo gang all permanently switch. Then I'm SOL.
  23. Yeah, I wasn't joking about sticking with BOSS. I ran LOOT once and decided it is most definitely not for me. The masterlist sorting is a great idea but it basically took my load order and scrambled it beyond recognition. I'm sticking with BOSS until I don't have a choice.

  25. Yeah, another guy and I did that a while back and never got an answer. Oh well, I think I'm just going to add it to erso enhanced ai and hope for the best.
