Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I run Skyrim on a WD Black and it loads pretty quick. SSD won't make a huge difference in Skyrim I reckon. Will help your OS a lot though. -

Does the Dyndolod patch need to be re run for the ELFX patch to work?? Please say no please say no :P -
Yes that one. But I had the dark atmosphere in Kynesgrove inn before I installed it, so I'm not sure it affects it. I'm not sure why I installed the SMIM patch in the first place to be honest :P
-
Yeap that was it. Fixed with TirigonX's fix. Can something similar be done with other cases, for example the inn at Kynesgrove appears a lot darker than normal even before I installed the SMIM patch.
-
Hmm you know what, you might be right. I don't remember if I installed it but I remember something called SMIM performance when I was scrolling down my mod order. I will do the TES5Edit TirigonX mentioned otherwise delete it altogether. Thanks in advance!!

Hey there, I don't know why, but I visited the tavern in Riften and on the top floor I see this: It seems the floor is gone and what is also weird, from below it appears OK!!! lol Is there a solution to this? Like with the CK or something?

Some more because I felt like it: Mistveil Keep Falkreath Bloody carnage View from Fallowstone Cave, the Black-Briar Lodge is visible on the left Falkreath \ On the way to Riften (Skyrim Bigger Trees ftw) Leaving Solitude (Enhanced Landscapes oaks ftw)

My bad, fixed now. Enjoy ;)

No incompatibility for my lite version of Skyrim Bigger Trees and SFO 2.5. There are various sizes of trees all over the place and it's really immersive. Also no crashes either. The reason I go for lite version vs. the full one, is that some trees are way too big and breaks immersion. e.g. Outside of Whiterun when I was heading towards the standing stone I saw a tree that was taller than the mountain, and some trees in Falkreath forest were completely blocking the road. In the lite version this can happen also but not to that extent and you can always use the console to rescale those few trees. -

Hi, I'm using SBT and I don't have any problems. It's important to pay attention to the load order as it is stated in the mod page. The mod is a bit behind in updates but I haven't encountered any drawbacks. I use the lite edition as the full one has some really huge trees (taller than mountains in some areas). For the LODs I ran DynDOLOD after I properly installed SBT and it seems fine, trees are big in the distance, big when up close and they don't suddenly appear to be big as in some cases. As for the other mod - Skysight - it is incomplete and doesn't support other areas - yet. So go ahead and try it, see how you like it. -
Need TS Vivid Patch to finish guide
George79 replied to NickyChainsaw's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I can send it to you in about an hour if nobody else does so before that. -
I will upload it for you when I get home in case someone doesn't before that ;)

Installing optional files
George79 replied to blur210's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I prefer everything to be separate in MO, so I have more flexibility and see exactly which file is being replaced by what etc. But that's just me. -

Yes of course I get your point Astake. hehe It's just that I despise the sharpness so far in the background. -

Dynavision just enables a "lighter" DOF and is more suitable for non-ENB configurations. This is the same scene, same hour of the day but without VW. It is the original configuration before March 8th with CoT, Vividian 7.35 and ENB v2.90 As you can see everything is way more immersive and the background blends smoothly with everything else. This one also has Vivid Clouds/Fogs but as the VW page says, that mod is included in VW. I'll just stick to that setup for the time being. Maybe VW needs a lot more time for its author to "polish". -

I messed a bit with the saturation levels in VW MCM and here's the result: Bleak: Low: Vanilla: High: Now, while the Low seems closest to my personal favorite, I can't seem to fix the extreme sharpness of the distant objects. I like the distant objects not to be that clearly visible, since they are in fact distant. I don't have this when using the CoT-Vividian setup. -

I'm still sticking with the original Vividian. The new Vivid Weathers seem a lot harsher and too vivid for my taste: VW Old Vividian setup Maybe there is a fine line of tuning with the new VW but I haven't go the time to fiddle with it. It somehow seems "incomplete"... but that's just me -

Yes it can be removed but you will have to set the compass settings up in the MCM which -for me- proved a bit of a hassle. He has the previous settings in the file section for those who prefer the old compass tweaks. Just install in the mod and you're set ;) So is the guide back to using Vividian ENB? Is the Vivid Weathers option forfeit now? -

I know and did all the loot rule/sort thing. Why does it need DDL anyway? Is the mod dependent on LODs? EDIT: Nevermind, I found what was the case about DDL and remade it. Apparently I had put RBB - SR Merged.esp in a different mod in the left pane of MO and when I updated the RBB, I forgot to uninstall the merged esp. It was master in DDL indeed. -
So Whos gonna Repost the vivid Weathers zip??
George79 replied to NordPride_WorldWide's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
You can create a different profile in the MO for VW and transfer your saves into it. Apart from the initial "mod not found" error when loading the game, nothing seems to be broken in my savegame. Keep in mind that you have to rebuild any dynamic patches for the new setup as they use mods that are removed now. -
DynDOLOD in game error
George79 replied to TadhgEomonn's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
The message is cause by a not-properly updated save. Load a savegame that DDL was working (no message), and follow DDL's update procedure. It's kinda tedious but it has to be followed. Hope it helps. -

Weird. What I did notice is that with the 2.4.1 version of RBB the related Realistic Boat Bobbing.esp file appeared at the bottom of my load order and was unchecked. It could be that the previous version was using the RBB - SR Merge.esp file instead of Realistic Boat Bobbing.esp. Whatever the case, my DynDOLOD didn't put it as a master. Should I run DDL again to have boats bobbing in the distance or am I good to go this way? -

I didn't update it and it works fine. Besides I think DynDOLOD doesn't take into account the flora. All of the lods regarding trees/bushes etc are ignore during the script's creation. You should de-activate DynDOLOD from the MCM menu, go indoors, save, exit-game, de-activate mod, reload last save, save, exit, then rebuild the .esp and load. It's pretty straightforward. Otherwise you get errors that LODs are not found in world xxxx.js etc. The others are fine as far as I know. Easy pickings. Neo, I updated the Boat mod but my DynDOLOD.esp didn't return a missing esp error, I didn't have to re-run it. -

They do?? Even the fast dismount? I can't get it to work no matter what key I assign to it. The follow/wait too. I can only give these commands with the horse menu or with the whistle for the follow. Did you by any chance edit the immersive horses.ini file to enable certain keys?
