That worked: files went to the folder I specified, then I compressed them and installed into Mod Organizer as a mod near the end of my load order (before FNVLODGen's Object LODs). Earlier attempts to generate a tes4qlod_tex folder from tes4ll_make_texture_cache.bat gave fewer files what I counted in your tes4qlod_tex download, so I used the latter in the above processes (I don't run NMC, POCO Bueno etc, so should be OK?). So far my outdoor game seems to run pretty smooth, and indeed (with tes4ll_make_colormaps_with_rockyfilter.bat) looks rockier.
