  1. Interior Lighting Overhaul has been updated to 6.9 in the beginning of July, the guide still works with v6.8.1. Is it okay to use the external fomod installer for v6.9 and install the (new) YUP patch as well? And can that patch be installed without merging it to ILO - Merged Patches.esp (merge it later to the bashed patch, similar to the Nevada Skies patch) ? Or do I simply not install that YUP patch, and/or keep using v6.8.1 altogether?
  2. Thank you for the help. I now enabled/checked the JIP C C&C Assets .bsa file in the Archives tab, don't remember what I did wrong while installing that though. You also cleared out what I had done wrong with the Bison Steve mod, I didn't enter the Nexusmod ID for the sortomatic optional file before installing it (it's a manual download only) so I had it installed as a separate mod, I did fix it now and my Data tab is okay again. Thanks a bunch to you as well! I never tried pressing the 'Manual' button (only had to do it 1 or 2 times in the STEP guide until now I think?), that indeed gave me the data prompt where I could choose the correct directory. As a newbie I didn't think of that (maybe also because it's not spelled out like that for you in that particular guide step :P ) Update: I've also noticed something in my MO Plugins tab: every single one of them is enabled/checked except for the Detect Traps Merged.esp, incidentally it's also the only one in that list without a Mod Index. It resides between Advanced Recon Tech - Detect Traps.esp and Advanced Recon Range Finder.esp. Is there something I did wrong installing this (I remember the Advanced Recon Trap Detection mod had multiple esp's and I merged them into the newly named 'Detect Traps Merged' through FNVEdit, like the guide told me), or do I still need to do something like uncheck the Detect Traps Merged.esp and enable Detect Traps Merged.esp? Or do I simply leave it like this? The Detect Traps Merged is not listed as a mod itself in the left pane by the way, its ESP just resides in the Available ESPs window at the Optional ESPs tab of the Advanced Recon Trap Detection mod.
  3. I'm going through the STEP guide and currently at the phase where I install Poco Bueno. However, I had a different outcome than what the guide tells you to do: When I extract the .fomod file to that downloads folder, the fomod file indeed shows up in the downloads tab of MO as PocoBuenoV5.fomod (with the warning exclamation mark next to it, telling me the mod ID's missing). However, when I proceed to install it, I don't get any "wrong data directory" prompt as I have had before with other mods, and as this instruction is telling me as well. It just shows up in the left pane as PocoBuenoV5. So, do I ignore this instruction in the guide, or have I indeed extracted the wrong thing or extracted to the wrong location, or wrong installation method perhaps? I figured it was worth mentioning as I'm still a newb and the ' expand "PocoBuenoV5" (not "pocobuenov5") ' phrasing has got me a bit worried. Besides that, there are two "irregularities" I have in MO that I wanted to ask about: 1) in the archives tab, every box that could possibly be checked is checked (the official DLC bsa's in black ticks except for the Fallout - Invalidation.bsa, all the mod bsa's in grey), except for the .bsa of JIP Companions Command & Control - Assets. Did I do something wrong when installing that one (it was little over a week ago that I did that), and does it indeed need to be checked? Or is that up to the player or something? 2) in the Data tab, I've got 1 entry in the Mod-subtab that is in red: "New Bison Steve Version 107 - SORTOMATIC VERSION" with according file named "The New Bison Steve Hotel.esm". When I hover over it, the tooltip says "Also in: The New Bison Steve Hotel and Lucky Casino". Incidentally, right above it in the Data tab I've indeed got "The New Bison Steve Hotel.bsa" file next to mod: "The New Bison Steve Hotel and Lucky Casino". Did I screw this up as well, or is this normal at this point in the guide?
  4. Hey people :) New member here. I recently built a new gaming PC and one of my dreams has always been playing a fully tricked out version of New Vegas since I already loved that game so much on the PS3. I bought the ultimate edition on Steam, and since this morning I started following EssArrBee's STEP guide. Everything has been going smoothly until I arrived at step 5 of "Setting up Mod Organizer". This is written there: So I take a look at that image for new users here https://wiki.step-project.com/File:FNV_Non-MO.png But, while it has the same content as my Mod Organizer left pane, my MO's content is in a different priority order. This is what it looks like on my version: https://i.imgur.com/WbjpioX.png Now, as the load priority is somewhat different and I'm totally new to this modding scene, I'd like to ask what I should do before I move on with the Step guide. Does "should have something that looks like the image here" mean, you should have these items, or more like, you need to have these items in this order? If the answer's the latter, what could I possibly have done wrong already? Someone have any idea? And do I move the load order manually so it looks like the one in the Step guide screenshot? Or ignore it altogether, and let LOOT/MO do the ordering work down the road? Note: I also had a Bashed Patch, 0.esp in my MO left pane. I looked it up and it seems that was created automatically because of opening Wrye Flash NV not through MO (I did that for changing a setting mentioned in the guide), so I deleted that 1 kb file in the Data folder. I hope I didn't do anything wrong with that as well. Thanks to everyone that's willing to help me out :)
