  1. Hardline and the Beta were both smooth launches, seems like they got Frostbite 3 under control now. Ewoks are in the base game, but not playable... there's an achievement for getting hit in the head with a rock from an Ewok... lol. I find your lack of Ewok love disturbing. :)
  2. There will be 4 DLC packs for the extra $50. All owners of the game will get the Jakku DLC for free just before the movie release. I did try both heroes multiple times during the Beta. I thought they were just the right amount of overpowered, I averaged about 5-7 kills per Hero spawn before being taken out. That being said, you have a huge target on your back as a hero and everyone will try to kill you... :) Flying was good for the most part, but not great. I know that is one area they are looking to improve before release along with smoothening some animations. From what I've read, there will be great map variety between modes. For example: Endor Walker Assault is mostly outdoors but Cargo or Droid Run will be exclusively indoors in bunkers, etc. Unlike Battlefield games where they took one huge map and cut pieces off for the other game modes Battlefront has maps designed specifically per game mode. At least that's what they've said.
  3. There is a code out there to get the base game for $45. I think it's GreenManGaming. Edit: Here is the code... GMGMID-SEASON-25PERC
  4. Beta is done sadly. No-one can play until release now... which sucks cause I want more lol. Long wait to release.
  5. $50 dollar "Premium" service DLC is/was standard for all of EA/DICE shooters: Battlefield 3, 4, Hardline, etc... Therefore this price point is not new it has been that way for years now. Its only getting critisized recently because its Star Wars (go figure). It does go on sale after the first 3 DLCs are released for as low as $25 but of course the best time to play DLC is on release when everyone is playing it. So it's not being blind so much as I think it was worth the $ even after all these years. The only title I got burned on was Hardline because the player population is almost non existant but I did enjoy the game for its fresh take. I think each DLC will consist of the following in themed packs: * One new planet consisting of 4+ multiplayer maps. Most likely also has a few single player missions. * New weapons / star cards. * New customization options. * Potentially new vehicles on the new maps, a new game mode, new Hero characters. Considering the base game is 4(+1 for Jakku) planets your essentially doubling your map count in DLC.
  6. The problem with Destiny / Taken King is because the DLC was an overhaul for the entire game (or so is my understanding). So if you wanted the base game improvements you had to buy the DLC. Therefore, it was basically not optional to get the DLC if you wanted a fully fleshed out game how it should have been in the first place. I could be totally off since I don't play Destiny but that is what I got out of reading. In any case, as you stated there is nothing forcing people to buy DLC at this point. They will not be missing out on anything of importance by buying the season pass later when DLC actually starts coming out (not until next year likely). They are simply offering it for those who know what to expect and know they will want it (like me).
  7. I don't believe there should be any crossover between the two. Perhaps you forgot to empty before running worlds? I use two separate folders.
  8. In the US the season pass is $50, base game is $60. Based on past experiences with this same pricing model in Battlefield it will be worth the money but as you said, optional.
  9. Local / Split Screen Content:https://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/features/missions You likely won't get a Fallout 4 opinion out of me in the near future unless a copy randomly drops in my lap.. lol. I don't have a preorder and not planning on buying it in the near future either. It's not generally my favorite genre and I'm fairly certain it'll be a buggy mess on launch like Skyrim was (and still is sometimes). That being said, not averse to trying it should I find a cheap copy (not likely).
  10. I had a blast with the Beta, majority seem to agree with me but there are those vocal minority die hards on both the "It's not Battlefield enough" and "Its not Battlefront 3" side. Obviously never the two shall agree. :) The game is 100% focusing on the Original Trilogy (plus future Force Awakens content) which limits the # of heroes/villains/vehicles compared to something like the old BF2 which also had clone wars and multitude of new characters. I can see where people come from with the lack of content side due to that but it's authentic to the universe. I get the feeling that Disney wants the focus off the prequels and so didn't want that content in the game. I think DICE has done an excellent job capuring the feels and wonder of Star Wars from the Music, Sound Design, Authentic Models, Atmosphere, etc. I actually like how they replaced a class system with a do-it-yourself system (star cards). I wish the battle pickups were models instead of "Power Up" coins but that's really my only gripe. Planet selection and game modes all look fun to me. Lack of space battles I'm not worried, I'm sure there is a flight sim coming eventually... xwing vs tie fighter 3 anyone? :) I'm totally in for this game. As far as micro transactions they have committed to NO microtransactions in the game. Everything is done via in game credits. There is DLC / Season Pass for 4 expansions (post the free Jakku expansion that comes just before the movie).
  11. This is hilarious... Parody of the new movie trailer. Also an 80s remake of the trailer:
  12. You could crank up ENB, mostly that is for better ambient occlusion, shadowing, etc. ENB is a much bigger frame hit than textures though and honestly its hard to really tell the difference between standard and high quality besides the frame hit. As far as WiC: You are correct, I have mine deleted but its not noted in the guide since I figured it didn't matter being its overridden anyways and deleting it after install is more hassle than its worth.
  13. Interesting... not sure why your line endings would be wrong unless a text editor of yours is configured for wrong file types or something of that nature. You shouldn't need to delete all mods, just simply uninstall then try again.
  14. Did you re-merge the scripts? Also don't forget to do the input.xml and user.settings keybinds again when a patch hits they reset.
  15. I saw the version updated today, but haven't been home. It is most likely that causing the issue. Looks decent but I'd probably use a minimum time increase. Mainly because I wouldn't want it to become a buff that is always on / Make the game easier.
  16. I imagine it will be updated along with FF/Last Seed so will look at it then. :)
  17. I saw the KS Hairdos and very interested, need to test it. Horses interesting but sounds a bit buggy with horse mods CH/IH but planning to look at the anim portion anyway.
  18. I believe that is only in the 307 (non-nexus) development version.
  19. While technically you are correct, this post is trying to merge Even Better Quest Objectives, etc. which does not, by any standard, meet that criteria. In fact I've only found 2 or 3 plugins that actually met the limited scope of WB merging.
  20. Repeat after me: Wrye Bash does not merge plugin files. Merge Plugins Standalone merges plugin files. I suggest re-reading the various sections, a little slower this time. :)
  21. I've been searching for a solution to the EFF / KO Overhaul issue, so far no bones. I just disable Follower KO to work around for now. What needs to happen is a check for paralysis before opening the menu. As for Mature Skin, it's because complexions and carry weight are both in RACE records. This means you gotta do some CR.
  22. 3rd (Final) Trailer For The Movie: Epic PS4 Commercial For Battlefront: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mByznNYCWTY Got my Ultimate Edition pre-order in and also got my tickets for the movie. IMAX on day 1. :)
  23. Perk Overhauls are more "Fad of the Month" than something you can objectively say A is better than B. In general, the quality of said perks varies wildly from one tree to another. Additionally, perk overhauls seem to never be fully completed / stable and are almost universally abandoned before long. I prefer piecemeal perk mods such as CACO since they really concentrate on one area and are generally stable after some initial churn.
  24. Perfectly safe as long as you don't check the merge option in SUM settings.
  25. I run 16GB and wouldn't run any less personally. Mainly because of how windows handles the extra mem. :)
