  1. Sorry, last comment may not have been clear. I was trying to post it on mobile. Basically I saw that you took out the optional realhair file for the hairworks and beard color mod. I was wondering why this was removed? Is the file no longer recommended?

  3. Hey Neo. Are you planning to update your guide any time soon? If you are, I have the below information that may help: - Compilation v3.1 has a ton of bugs including turning campfires white and messing up some NPC/armor textures. Version 1.0 alpha fixes those bugs but doesn't include a lot of the changes from 3.1. That being said, both v3.1 AND v.1.0 both mess up Touissant clouds and make them look 2D - Nitpickers patch also has a bug which messes up female NPC necklines, giving two different textures. Someone in the comments has a fixed version but it has its own bugs :-)
  4. I am not positive but I have a feeling that the female skin issue is probably from Compilation 3.1. In fact, I don't know what else it would be from if not that. Like I said in my post above, Compilation 3.1 has a ton of small graphical bugs that kind of ruin the mod. I would suggest using v1.0 to see if the problems go away. You can also try the 3.1 version without cosmetics. As for the double graphics settings, i'm pretty sure that's something to do with HD Reworked 4.6. The mod author has a sticky note in the comments that says how to fix it. might be on the mod page too. I think it's caused by having two rendering.ini or rendering.xml files by accident.
  5. Also wanted to list the following issues that I have found that may be of use to you Neo: 1. The mod that removes the water droplets from the screen does not seem to work if you merge it for some reason. It works fine if it's not merged. Might just be for me but I remember others on the mod page saying the same thing. 2. Compilation 3.1 has quite a few bugs. I will list them below: - Messes up clouds in Toussaint. They look weird, like 2D. Someone on the mod page made a fix but others say it still doesn't work completely. - Some campfires are bugged and the logs glow pure white with wood/ember textures missing. - Some NPC helmets/armor textures are bugged. I don't know what the exact mesh/texture is but it makes a matte grey texture show up as a weird camouflage black/green pattern. - Some magic effects during some quests have a strange flickering effect (i.e. Battle for Kaer Morhen). The author of compilation basically disappeared and it's unknown if that mod is supported. Myself and others I talked to on the mod page suggest using version 1.0 until Ranccoid fixes these bugs.

I am not sure if you'd know the answer to this, but in Rootsrat old Witcher 3 guide (the one that was discontinued), he has tweaks for the following commands: MeshLODDistanceScale=8MeshRenderingDistanceScale=4Will those mess up the LOD mod if I use them with it, specifically the 1.6b version? I remember back when the 1.6b LOD was the most current the mod author had said to leave one or both of those at 1 but I can't remember. Thanks!

  9. Oh ok cool thanks. I was just curious. Right now I'm basically using your 26 November 2016 guide with a few of the mods updated (i.e. compilation instead of blood/weather/splash and HD Reworked newest 4.6 version).

  11. Hi Neo. If I wanted to use your latest version of the guide, is the Mod Conflicts section up to date? All I need to worry about in terms of conflicts are the merged scripts and ghost mode?
  12. Is it NOT recommended to use the optional 4k textures from the new HD Reworked Texture Mod?
  13. Does anyone still use the "More Blood" mod? It seems to be bugged for me and others. Sometimes a black/red/white circle will appear around geralt's eyes if blood gets on them. Seems to happen randomly.
  14. Looks like the limit is like over about 20 or so with me. After that my games don't load.
  15. Seems like all of ramccoid's mods cannot be merged.
  16. I'm not sure. Maybe you can only merge certain types of mods? Or maybe there's a limit to how many mods you can merge? I'm not too familiar with it. I sent the mod merger author a message on the nexus regarding a process error I kept getting and he said it's related to the BLOOD mod so perhaps it's hit or miss on which mods can be merged and which can't?
  17. Also, I had a question. I've asked this before and never got a response so I apologize if this is a duplicate but why was the increased LOD mod removed? Is there a new mod that covers it? Or can you achieve the same effect with config tweaks? Sorry for all of the posts and looking forward to new guide updates.
  18. Oh ok. Apparently it's tied to systems specs and the texturememorylimit line in the config file. Interesting. Anyway, yes, it appears that the water droplets mod may not work when merged. Just wanted to give you a heads up for when you complete your new guide :-).

I can try redoing it when I get home today but after looking through the comments on the Nexus page, other people were saying that the remove water droplets mod didn't work when merged with other mods. Does anyone know what the texture mod limit is in the game before it starts giving you infinite loading screens/not loading some mods?
  20. I may be doing something wrong but it seems that the remove water droplets mod doesn't work if you merge it with other texture mods for some reason.
  21. Why was the Increased LOD mod removed from the guide? EDIT: Actually it looks like the author updated it. Just wondering why it was removed from your guide and if I should just use the version from the November 2016 guide or use the most current. Thanks!
  22. Why did you remove some of the texture/effect mods such as "Improved Sign Effects?" Was it replaced with something better?
  23. I followed Neo's guide and used your tweaks. I think one of them is causing shadow glitches, but only on Geralt's head/hair. Looks like flickering lines in the shadows. Only on his head though.
