Bethesda just posted a article about there 1.6 path, included in the notes it the addition of mounted combat, apparently you can download the beta patch now.

nvidia clams a 20% increase in performance for skyrim, i was already using the beta drivers so i didn't notice any increase but those of you who weren't sure will (i saw atleast 10% when i updated to beta drivers) article download

i would like to report that i was getting a massive FPS drop from this, even more then ivactheseeker reported (from 60 FPS to 20 to 15 back to 30 then to 5 in my test) i preformed a full reboot and reinstall of ENB + sb4n's ini (only used ENB dll and enb ini no filters) and a reinstall of RCRN's "pure" injector, now im getting stable FPS 60 with spikes of 45(fixable by fps limiting), you can see my specs in sig, i used a full STEP install with no other mods to test this, highest texture set available for mods that have different qualities in STEP. i think it might have to do with my overclocks not applying or some residual lag from WB(had this happen when i first installed STEP and went to play). hope this helps.

works well with Winter is Coming and Frostfall has compatibility for both mods.
