  1. I just downsized everything to 2k, couldn't tell much a difference really.
  2. Do you use MO? If so you need to run it on your MO mod folder (ModOrganizer\mods).
  3. I got it... was trying to do the right click add to executables in the data tab instead of just going to the Modify Executables page. Thanks!
  4. You clicked the jar in MO or in its install location in the MO folder? Â Ill try the shortcut too
  5. Having issues running the SkyProc patch for this one, I did this: But it wont let me add as executable... MO seems to only allow .exe?
  6. Didn't someone have a script to spawn a crapton of cheese wheels and made a funny vid of it way back when?  Could do something like that but just don't stop spawning until a crash.
  7. Depends on how often the engine garbage collects... if its not often then maybe something as simple as entering/exiting whiterun as fast as you can could do it.
  8. Not even sure if this is STEP appropriate but I just found this and it looks completely awesome. Â Check out the first video. Â Just figured I'd share even if STEP doesn't approve. Magic Duel Reborn [video=youtube]http-~~-//youtu.be/OxKG86dWDJk Fun starts at :41 sec
  9. Did you install any of the HD DLC Optimized mod options? So you aren't running ANY 4x textures at all? Can you give me a quick tutorial on how to do this in TO? Yes, I did HD DLC Optimized Hybrid (1024 + 2048) option. Currently, I am not running any 4k textures, though as Flytrap said you can have a select few (I think only 4k texture he has is the HD Vurts Pines cause he likes them). I would also like to note that both Flytrap and I initially downloaded the largest/best textures each mod had to offer and THEN resized them to 2k, and we have both noticed that a 4k texture resized to 2k looks better than some of the native 2k option downloads some mods offer. Here's how I did the resizing:
  10. So let me share my experience. I have full STEP 2.2.3+ extreme max everything. After finishing that install, I started crashing all the effin time to the point where I gave up for a bit. I then posted this thread and took Flytraps advice.  As you can see in my screenshots in that thread, every time my RAM hit 3.1+, insta crash.  I downloaded Optimizer Textures as per Flytraps advice and the ONLY option I checked was to resize if size was > 2k, and ran it on my whole Mod Organizer mod folder.  After it was done I have yet to crash, and the visual trade off was almost unnoticeable for me, it still looks great.  Here are my last two skyrim runs after texture resize, each is several hours of play with no crashes.    As you can see I never hit 3.1 GB RAM, and even though my VRAM is maxed out the whole time... no crash.  I think STEP is gonna have to start recommending only 2k textures after a certain point because everyone is gonna start crashing like this, and as others have said, its a Skyrim being 32 bit limitation, not a PC hardware limitation (I have 16 GB RAM, SSD, 8 core CPU, the works)
  11. No problem! I had the exact same issue, hence how I knew the answer haha :P Yeah, MO is really awesome, cant believe I got by without it before.
  12. Did you modify the Skyrim.ini in the User folder or the one within MO? MO virtualizes that as well. Its located in the "Tools" menu.
  13. Thanks! So most of the bigger texture packs you took the mid range options or did you use that utility that re-sizes the packs? Also, any thoughts on ATTK Loader? If It seems to help, in my second performance screenshot it took much longer to hit 3.1 GB and the only difference was the loader.
  14. Thanks for the reply!  I was afraid my only option was to downsize the texture packs, but your screens still look great!  What mods do use? I have a full STEP + Sharpshooters ENB and it doesn't look that nice! :P
  15. Didn't realize, my bad, sorry guys.
  16. So I got everything just the way I like it (full STEP, some ENB blah blah) and it looks beyond amazing, and I'm getting around 30 FPS so that's nice.  However, ever since I got to the max setup I like I literally crash every 5ish minutes.  After doing some Skyrim Performance Monitor runs I saw it could be related to the oft-discussed mystical 3.1 GB RAM limit of doom.  Here are the screencaps of my runs, what do you think? w/out ATTK Power Loader w/ ATTK Power Loader As you can see I'm hammering my GPU and VRAM, but when that evil yellow line crosses the 3 GB threshold is when it gets hairy.  Do you guys have the same experience? I know from the threads I've seen in here there doesn't seem to be an accepted conclusion but am I SOL and just need to bail on some mods? EDIT: Forgot specs: i7 Sandy Bridge, 16 GB RAM, 1.5 GB VRAM Nvidia GeForce GTX 580
  17. This looks pretty nice, and we don't have a grass mod yet. Â Author claims minimal FPS impact as well. Â What do yall think? https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33784/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fuser%3D0%26id%3D33784
