  1. That's awesome, will definitely look for that.
  2. Hello, I've been trying to install this mod for about a week now with no success. I migrated my entire mod library over to mod organizer so I could follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3zVK8PD3Vg The mod did not work no matter how many times I followed the installation instructions to the letter (putting the dyndolod .esp last in load order, making sure the output folder is loaded by MO, etc), with the only result being that DynDOLOD showed up on MCM as being active and getting the "initialization successful" message but only having vanilla LODs. I then tried to follow this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/306bdh/tes5lodgen_and_dyndolod_tutorial/ It appears to be somewhat outdated according to one of the comments which makes allusions to extra steps and .json files, and again I had no success, but the somewhat frustrating thing here is that I had not seen any reference to .json files in any of the guides I had found. I would really like to try this mod but what I can't seem to find is a comprehensive installation guide for the current version. Some guides seem to include some steps and others different ones, which makes for a very confusing time trying to install a mod that is already pretty involved. I also looked at the .html manual that came in the Docs folder in the mod but it seems to have mostly the same info on installing that the other guides did and again does not mention anything about .json files or whatever else may be needed. So I guess what I'm looking for is a guide detailed enough with every step for a noob like me to install 1.28 and get those damn LODs to show up in my game. I've got 190 .esps in my game and have been able to make them play nice with each other but I just can't get this one to work and it's driving me crazy. Edit: After trying out the static LODs under the optional downloads on the dyndolod page, I think I'll stick with them although I'd like to see if there is a high version available instead of medium. Is there any way to get this or would it not make a difference?
  3. I recently found out about DynDOLOD and decided to switch to it from Skyrim Distance Overhaul. I followed the install instructions in this video: I used NMM to do the install and when I get into the game the mod gives me the "initializing" message upon going outside and then shows up in MCM as being activated, but nothing happens. No LODs show up at all and I'm left with the vanilla LOD, which of course is very barren (I chose the high preset when running the dyndolod script in TESVedit). I'm starting a new game each time I do any testing so there aren't any issues with save compatibility and there are no error messages shown in the MCM menu. In the "YOU ARE HERE" part of the MCM menu it shows all the files being used as you would expect but still nothing shows up. Here are some screenshots to show what I mean:https://imgur.com/a/vMx9T
  4. Does anyone know why the filter for normal maps (*_n.dds) doesn't work in ddsopt? I followed all of the steps in the appendix to resize my normal maps but for some reason ddsopt just resizes all of the textures instead even though the filter shows only the normal map files.
  5. Hello, I used your very useful guide to optimize my textures and saved quite a bit of memory with it so I wanted to thank you for your guide, but I'm having an issue with ddsopt and normal maps. When I go to resize the normal maps I follow the process you lay out but the filter does not seem to work and it just resizes everything in the folder and not just the normal maps like it should. I've got the most up to date ini files for ddsopt so that shouldn't be the issue, does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong or what is causing the problem?
