  1. Is "ELE Weather" and the "STEP Weather fixes" the same plugin you posted a while ago here in the forums? I'm still using it and I find it perfect for me.
  2. Did anyone try SkySouls? Looks promising at least.
  3. Load order shouldn't matter, since all it's done via scripts. but if you wanna be sure, place it after SSR and any mod that modifies NPC detection AI.
  4. It's not redundant with SSR, I'm using both at the moment, SSR sets some stealth/detection values, which are ok, but they are always the same (interior, exterior, day, night, is all the same) i.e. NPC will detect you at the same distance, in the middle of the day or midnight. Dynamic Stealth modifies these stealth/detection values depending if it's day, dawn, dusk or night, also if it's interior or exterior, resulting in all these situations having different detection values. i.e. NPC won't detect you at night as easy as they detect you in the middle of the day. Also comes from a very known and experienced modder (fadingsignal, author of True Storms, Skysight things among others) and it can be safely removed.
  5. It's free for PC users because otherwise there wouldn't be mods for the new version. Most of the mod authors have already abandoned skyrim, and I don't think they'd buy a new version just to mod it when they already have the original version modded and looks like the new version (or even better).
  6. According to what I read, ps4 and xb1 don't have dx9, so it will be DX11, and if it's dx11, has to be 64-bit
  7. Sounds promissing... https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/4nrg5n/menus_dont_pause_the_game_skse_plugin_need_testers/
  8. Don't know why, supposedly EVT only alters meshes, but those trees in the second picture look too clean/tropicalish, no moss whatsoever.
  9. I recommend fadingsignal's Dynamic Stealth, even when is beta, it works very well along with kryptopyr's Stealth Skills Rebalanced.
  10. Imho, a guide should provide everything needed for the user to complete it. If one of the parts is not present or can't be adquired, the guide can't be completed. Not to mention that there will be a lot of people reporting CTD because of a missing master in the CR patch. I think you should either provide an alternate link to download the mod (like neo did with the texture pack) or remove the mod from the guide. Users that already have wyrmstooth can always make their own patch (or you can publish an alternative patch for those who have wyrmstooth) But honestly, if the author just erased himself from the internet and his mod with him, I think we should respect his decision.
  11. It won't make your string count smaller, but rather let Skyrim save and load games with more than 65k strings (i.e. bypass the uint16 strCount). So to speak, if it works, string count is not an issue anymore.
  12. Crash Fixes V8 by meh321 has been released It includes, among other features, a "fix for > 65535 strings in save game." Probably not going to be popular among STEP staff, but for SRLE Extended and other big guides I think it will be a must. Edit: For the skeptical ones, you can test it using this
  13. I did, Better Males uses the Real Feet meshes, so you have to install them. first install Better Males Underwear - Defaultthen install SkySight Skins with the Real Feet meshes (choose the real feet meshes option in the fomod) Skysight Skins will replace the bare feet meshes only.
  14. He will: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/4g1cg4/hi_just_wanted_to_let_you_know_im_not_yet_retired/ I'm also curious about his Dynamic Stealth (i'm using a beta now, is very simple, yet very powerful) and his Spectra ENB is amazing. Also, the feet problem can be fixed installing Better Males feet meshes.
  15. I'd also recommend Crash Fixes, from the same author, it prevents several crash failures, there is also a beta (in the LL site) with a workaround for the string count issue, it works very well so far, He will probably include it in the next version. Also, the optionals files from Uninterrupted Invisibility and Ethereal Form, I've been using all of them and they are pretty stable so far. Edit: also, all of them are skse plugins only, seems like the author knows how to do his stuff the right way.
  16. That someone is meh321, the author of crash fixes https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725/? and many other mods and fixes like ConsoleUtil, Better Stealing, Uninterrupted Invisibility and Ethereal Form, and Remove Lockpicking (something Gopher would like xP) He will probably add that workaround in the next version of Crash Fixes
  17. Did anyone try this mod? Generally font replacers never fit very well, but looks like this mod makes the necessary changes to the swf files for the fonts to look OK https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/479/?
  18. Bijin faces are always superb, I like warmaiden's hair more, but in my case, I'll stick with Bijin vanilla Adrianne. Also, warmaiden's Adrianne looks more redguardish than tanned imperial :P
  19. True, but a legendary is a legendary, doesn't matter if it's +6 , +7 or +8, it's still "legendary". a "+6" is not a +7 or a +8, is a +6. I wonder if it's possible to create new tempering ranks, that could solve that issue and fix a vanilla bug at the same time.
  20. The problem with that mod is that it does not cover the several levels of "legendary" tempering. There are actually more than 1 level of legendary tempering, they are all called "Legendary", but depending on the skill, you can upgrade a weapon to +6, +7 or even +8.
  21. I really like the "Loot" part of Loot & Degradation, not a big fan of the "Degradation" part, I always turn it off, but the loot part is awesome, NPCs looting their dead allies for better weapons is an great feature.
  22. Yeah, that's what I thought, and I just found this post with a quote from Tannin https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3668-loose-vs-bsa-files/page-2?do=findComment&comment=70913
  23. I'm sure it was asked (and answered) several times, but, why do we unpack all the BSAs? I thought it was better to keep them packed, saving SSD space and improving the loading times, isn't that right?
  24. Custom map markers does not work with Warburg's, it's easier to explain why explaining how Warburg's works. The paper map we see is not the actual map, but a "cloud" of the original map retextured to look like the map., when you place a custom map marker, the games tries to put it in the original map, but the "cloudish map" is on top of that, that's why they never fit. If you place it near the center of the map (near Whiterun) it will be less offset than if you put it on a corner (like Markarth). Same happens with normal map markers, the ones near the center work perfectly fine, but the ones near the corners of the map can suffer a little offset when not centered on the screen, is not a mayor issue, but it can not be solved.
  25. A quick try, I have to adjust the roads, either warburg's or gamwich's map, one of them is not cartographically (?) correct, and the ENB fubars the texture details a little bit.
