  1. I noticed this setting on my Steam Deck. Not sure what it does. I could be wrong, but there might be something wrong with the generated INI files when the game is launched for the first time on the steam deck. I played through the tutorial until exiting Helgen dungeon. After this I exited the game and entered desktop mode on the Deck and launched the game again to play the game with kb/m. Now I couldn't move around at all with my keyboard. I could only look around with the mouse. I then tried "coc whiterundragonsreach" from the main menu and the error persisted. Even restarting the game with both bSteamDeck and bGamepadEnable off, I had the same issue. The only thing that kinda worked was if I didn't touch the keyboard at all and used the Steam Deck controls to load a save and then continue playing. Pressing a keyboard key, be it on a physical keyboard or emulated keypresses through Steam Input made the character freeze in place and unable to do anything else than to look around. My fix to this was to delete the default ini files and launch the game with the following launch option: SteamDeck=0 %command% Now I can achieve the default behavior of kb/m and controller that was present in the previous Skyrim version 1.6.640. It would be nice to hear if anybody can reproduce this issue because it was driving me nuts when trying to edit ReShade. Had to restart the game every time I made a change. 2. I understand, linux isn't officially supported. Thank's for the replies anyways, they helped me get this far. By the way, is Dyndolod supposed to run for over 16h? I used medium preset and use LOD level 32 according to A Clear Map of Skyrim and Other Worlds. I have a few big mods that change the landscape & trees too: Nature of the Wild Lands - forest and trees improvement mod Enhanced Landscapes Folkvangr - Grass and Landscape Overhaul I have a Ryzen 7 2700x CPU. It has now been over 16h since I started the generation.
  3. Here back to report that I fixed my issue by installing mo2 with the modorganizer2-linux-installer instead of using steamtinkerlaunch, which I used in the non-working setup. I used the Modding Skyrim SE on Linux - A Headache Minimization Guide, and adapted it to my setup. I installed "dotnet-runtime" natively on linux via package manager. Because I use Arch (btw), the extra repository provided version 7.0.11.sdk111-1. I also installed the Visual Studio 2015-2022 redistributables into my user's wine prefix ~/.wine by running the installer, not winetricks. Now dyndolod runs ok, except for the middle part of the window being "blank" in expert mode. I think there is supposed to be a list of rules/items there. You can barely work around this by clicking the on the items to see a quick flash of the name of the list item. I'm not sure my original issue was because of steamtinkerlaunch, could've been that I messed up my game prefix at some point.
  4. Following the Dyndolod generation instructions, I get the following error in a popup window: Executing LODGen.exe returned error code C0000135 xLODGen worked fine. As well as the included TexGen from Dyndolod. DynDOLOD_SSE_Debug_log.txt LODGen_SSE_Test_log.txt It is worth mentioning that I am running MO2 with wine on Linux. I'm kind of bothered by dyndolod not working, when everything else skyrim modding has worked as well as on windows. Any chance of getting some pointers on what might be causing my issue?
  5. Oh crap, I didn't notice that. Thank you once again!
  6. Now that I've played with this workaround I found that the path you assign TES4LODGen to write it's files should not contain any spaces. For ex. I added "-O:G:\Generated DistantLOD" to the TES4LODGen.exe arguments in the Modify executables tab, but after the program was finished I found that the files had been generated to "G:\Generated"
  7. I strongly agree that we need a specific tab for the Oblivion workarounds. It took me way too long to get oblivion to work via MO, and I still suspect it doesn't work 100%.
  8. This worked for me, thank you so much!
  9. Hello and thank you in advance for showing your interest in this issue! I've been trying to run TES4LODGen through Mod Organizer but it's really slow and after maybe half an hour of waiting I get an error telling me that it has ran out of memory. After I close TES4LODGen the "Overwrite" section has a folder in it that is named "Distant_Lod". Is there a way to fix this?
