  1. Hi all, I've just gotten SR:LE installed and running and loving it. However, almost immediately I decided to break it by installing a few of my most favorite mods that I just wouldn't want to play without. My list is below. What are you favorite mods that you MUST install (even if it messes the stability of your system). Eye normal map fix Watercolor for ENB capes with HDT (still buggy movement, just waiting for it to clean up) get up stand up dragon combat overhaul better hand mesh femfeet redesigned fire and ice overhaul (I LOVE setting things on fire .. too much fun) freckle mania birds and flocks birds of skyrim skybirds rainbows shooting stars non-automatic skill books stickier arrows dandelion seeds battle hardened warpaints (don't install the racemenu files) 101 bugs makers mark ingots
  2. This light bothered me as well. The problem is that the lights down the hallway leading away from the cell are shadow casting, which is capping the number of shadow emitting visible lights when the statue is to the left of you and you can see the hallway lights. Changing those lights to not be shadow casting would fix this, which is in part what I thought ELFX was supposed to do (optimize light sources)
  3. Looks like a lot of work, trying to clean up play as an archer. Is this causing conflicts for anyone? STEP worthy? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60219/?
  4. Hi Neovalen and everyone else. I created this account for the sake of this post (for now). First off I want to say that SR:LE is awesome. I recently decided to try Skyrim and the game is certainly good, but I found I loved the modding part and probably have spent more time on that than playing the game. Initially I was building off of a Realvision install, but wanted a more complete install. Then I found this! Now, many hours later, I seem to be up and running. So thanks. While I was doing my SR:LE install, I kept track of the issues that came up, issues only a noob like myself would stumble over. These are not issues with the actual mod, that is over my head. Rather, these are some things that came up with the instructions. I figured I would write them up so the web page could maybe be better yet. Anyway, here are the issues/recommendations I have: 1) The UNP model mod is pasted into the middle of the RS children mod, cuts it in half 2) BOSS Gui needs to be run once (I was using LOOT prior) and followed the instructions for setting up boss.exe. However, default BOSS.exe only updates the masterlist and does not sort. I had to run bossgui and change the settings before I could sort the mods. 3) "Special Installation" needs to stand out more. I actually downloaded the html, replaced "Special installation" with "<pre>special installation</pre>" just so I didn't miss anything. There are 90 of them and easy to miss one if not careful. Could consider the same for Optional downloads 4) You advise changing the SKSE.ini iTintTextureResolution to 2048, but don't offer any new tints. The lips and warpaints look VERY blocky when upscaled like this. I like how you keep things vanilla when appropriate. Maybe consider adding mods like these: XCE warpaint and dirt : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29977 Mature Skin new lips : optional -Tintmasks 5) Just a thought, is it worth removing all the ModNameREADME.txt files? It clutters the install instructions. 6) Septim HD install is a little unclear. Maybe explicitly instruct to set the data folder to "mipmaps" 7) Subliminal Traps 2: advised to use RLO (Tripwire). Not totally obvious which option that is. 8) FCO already is in BOSS and you suggest a rule, but don't mention an override... is unclear 9) "Real Shelter.esp AFTER ELFX – Dragonborn.esp" but the mod is actually "RealShelter.esp" no whitespace and is already in BOSS 10) "TheChoiceIsYours_Dragonborn.esp AFTER TheChoiceIsYours_Dawnguard.esp " another rule already present. Override? 11) Running the Tes5edit for Real Shelter is described before better fast travel, but it is dependent on BFT. 12) You mention editing Skyrimprefs.ini at the end, but then don't actually list any edits. Confusing. 13) Some handholding for installing FNIS might help. I was already familiar with it, but the new user might get lost. So there you go. Thank you again for the great project. I hope this was useful/helpful. WItC
  5. Try to use it and see if the files and folders in question are moved into the Skyrim folder tree. If they are, then it worked. It worked for me, but I've disabled the UAC stuff for Skyrim, so YMMV.
