SKYRIMLE Inhabitants of Skyrim - NPC Overhaul by Rops1981

I did but I renamed it back to the original mod since that became obsolete. -
SKYRIMLE Inhabitants of Skyrim - NPC Overhaul by Rops1981

Just to clarify, should I use the rule: NPC_Overhaul_V_1_.esp (Inhabitants of Skyrim) BEFORE Bashed Patch.esp? Currently I have it set as AFTER Provincial Courier Service.esp -
SKYRIMLE Inhabitants of Skyrim - NPC Overhaul by Rops1981
monkeycid replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've started using this mod with Skyrim Revisited and placed it at the top of the load order as instructed here but wanted to ask if anyone could suggest a rule to add to the BOSS Userlist Manager for this mod to be fully compatible with Skyrim Revisited? Edit: Well, after running the patcher which I linked to above, I simply created a rule and placed the esp after its last master which in this case is Provincial Courier Service. Hopefully everything works as intended. -
Hey everyone! I wanted to ask, with all the mods installed in Skyrim Revisited, do any of them "fix" the seemingly weak destruction spells to scale up at higher levels?
-
Hey everyone! Knowing the incapabilities of a laptop, I've always thought that maybe the usual formula for calculating the above did more harm than good. Should I be doing anything different than, say, a PC user? I have 16GB of RAM and a GTX 880M which provides a whopping 8GB of VRAM but again this is a laptop and something is telling me that the end result is far too much for a laptop to handle. This is the current formula I use: 16000+8192-2048=22144 Should I maybe half that?

Well, I found a fix. The water problem isn't driver related but due to the fact the Intel card is interfering with the INI settings and even though the nVidia card is being used in game, those incorrect settings are hindering its performance which is why these water glitches occur. Since I haven't been able to stop the Intel from being detected I find disabling the onboard card entirely allows Skyrim to write the necessary entries for the nVidia card and thus fixes this water glitch.

Sorry for being a nuisance! Well, I've followed the guide from top to bottom and the questions raised in this thread were the only little hiccups I had along the way. Thank you for the excellent guide Neovalen and those that helped you put it together! (Now I just need to optimize the textures which I skipped at the start. Oops!) -

Maybe the instructions are wrong then. The mod links to Sharlikrans Compatibility Patches V14 (JaySuS Swords) but underneath says not to install the JSwords files though they are all that is included in the file. It doesn't mention downloading the original JaySus Swords mod. -

I am just confused because the file only contains plugins but the instructions say not to install them so I would be installing nothing from the downloaded file. Unless I am missing something. -

Thanks for the replies, Neovalen. Just one more question, though! Here you recommend the JaySuS Swords version but without the JSwords* files but the downloaded file only contains JSwords files so I am confused what to do with this mod. -

Another question! Here it links to a file that contains two mods, Animated Dwemer Lift Load Doors and a Dawnguard version or update but doesn't mention to install the latter. Should I? -
Hi everyone! After a relatively successful install of STEP Core and Extended, I thought I'd give Revisited a shot and see how my luck fares. Just have some confusion with parts of the guide. Here it is suggest to remove the Tamriel.Objects.DDS file but doesn't mention what to do with the Tamriel.Objects_n.DDS that is the same directory. And here it suggests to make a copy of a file before renaming. Am I unsure whether the original is to be kept or deleted after the copy has been created and renamed? Thanks!

I will have to use ENB/ENBoost for that to work though, right? Since there isn't a d3d9.dll file within the Skyrim directory by default. Edit: I've tried the fix with ENB and HiAlgo BOOST but doesn't seem to fix the incorrect RendererIno settings. Even though Steam recognizes the nVidia card and the Skyrim Launcher as well, the Intel is interfering in some way and the incorrect INI entry and RendererIno settings would probably be the reason for the water bug which doesn't occur when switching to the onboard video card.
-
There's not much more I can do with nVidia and Skyrim. I've change the settings in the nVidia control panel for each Steam and Skyrim related EXE to use the nVidia card but to no avail. I will try the SPM now and see if that works. What I don't understand is, my previous laptop had an Intel onboard and a GTX 650M but didn't have this problem. I don't know if it had Optimus technology though.
-
It happens with a fresh copy of Skyrim too with no mods or END, an absolute clean Skyrim directory. Even though the launcher correctly displays the nVidia card, the RendererInfo text document in the Skyrim documents folder still shows Intel information. I am guessing that might be the problem?

Whilst the Green Water Fix does help, it does make the water a little too clear. I have done some further digging and found this thread on these very forums which suggests Skyrim Performance Monitor may help fix the issue. I will give it a try and report back.
-
The patch does indeed work but I am trying my best to find a fix that doesn't involve using a mod since I don't believe this issue should exist in the first place. But it does seem like a driver issue considering posts of others with different nVidia cards reporting the same kind of thing. Hopefully the bug report I posted over at nVidia is looked at but I can use either the Green Water Fix or change the DoV INI setting for now. How many times do players swim underwater anyway?
-
I have tried without ENB entirely with a fresh vanilla Skyrim and default video card settings and this still persists. Reading the description of the mod you linked to, isn't that a fix for ENB users whose graphics cards aren't being correctly identified? I have also created a bug report over at the official nVidia support website. It's a weird bug since I can position the water level right at the top of the screen and see underwater perfectly but the problem occurs when I am fully submerged or position the camera completely underwater. Is this a field of view or sky reflection related issue?
-
Just to recap. I've reinstalled a fresh copy of Skyrim because I really wanted to be sure what was causing this problem to occur. This seems to happen only with the dedicated GTX 880M video card. The onboard Intel HD 4600 works fine underwater but the nVidia card is struggling. Oddly enough, I had a GTX 650M on an old laptop which had no problems underwater so it seems funny to me that a newer card would struggle. It's either an error within the video driver or the card itself. I am opting for the driver since this laptop is only a month old!
-
I tried removing ENB altogether but to no avail. I also tried a vanilla Skyrim without any mods and still the same thing happened. It must be either an error within one of the INI files or a video card error. I have read somewhere about the field of vision also having an affect. I will try the Green Water Fix for now since that seems to keep the blur when underwater judging by the mods' screenshots.
-
I've done some messing around and noticed the problem isn't strictly when underwater but where the water line is on the screen. I could be stood in water upto my waist and still see the murky brown screen if I adjust the camera. See here and here.
-
I've found a quick fix but I'm not sure if it's recommended since some mods use it (such as Dynavision) but setting bDoDepthOfField to 0 within Skyrimprefs.ini seemed to make the water crystal clear.

Hi everyone, I'm a relatively new STEP user and genuinely happy with the improvements it has made to Skyrim and modding in general. Everything seems to be working as intended except for one , maybe two things. Firstly, I cannot see anything underwater and the screen turns a murky brown colour whenever I dive in. Secondly, the blood splatter from Enhanced Blood Textures doesn't seem to apply to female player characters. It works when I'm playing as a male character but never as a female. I don't know if this is intended or not. I have followed the 2.2.9 STEP guide from top to bottom and installed every mod that isn't flagged as being included in the STEP patches. https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Monkeycid/SystemSpecs [spoiler=Load Order]Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthFires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espSkyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esmLanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esmHighResTexturePack01.espHighResTexturePack02.espHighResTexturePack03.espCutting Room Floor.espDual Wield Parrying_SKSE.espAuto Unequip Ammo.espTraps Make Noise.espChesko_LoreBasedLoadingScreens.espBetterQuestObjectives-Hearthfire.espfFastTravelSpeedMult_4.espDead Body Collision.espClamsDropPearls.espExplosiveBoltsVisualized.espAnimated Weapon Enchants.espMoss Rocks.espElemental Staves.espFootprints.esp83Willows_101BUGS_V4_LowRes.espConvenient Horses.espAppropriately Attired Jarls Redux.espBrows.espLock Overhaul.espNausicaa's Tweaker.espBFSEffects.espNoxUE2.00.espORM-Arvak.espRaceMenuPlugin.espRaceMenu.espSMDropLitTorch.espFootprints - Ash.espMoss Rocks_DB.espShootingStars.espSkyUI.espTradeBarter.espDual Sheath Redux.espDawnguardRuneWeaponsFXSReplacer.espSoul Gems Differ - NS.espRainbows.espBeards.espGuard Dialogue Overhaul.espWeapons & Armor Fixes_Remade.espWeapons & Armor_TrueOrcish&DaedricWeapons.espClothing & Clutter Fixes.espSkyrimCoinReplacerRedux.espDistant DetailHF.espSkyFalls + SkyMills + DG + DB.espBring Out Your Dead.espBetterQuestObjectives.espThieves Guild Requirements.espBetterQuestObjectives-Dawnguard.espOblivion Gates v3 without Markers - Skyrim + Dawnguard DLC.espBirdsHFclean.espTheChoiceIsYours.espSDO Full-LOD - Waterfall Effects.espPoint The Way.espHearthfireChimneys.espRealisticWaterTwo.espSPTConsistentOlderPeople.espADS.espWetandCold.espAOS.espIHSS.espDeadlySpellImpacts.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main.espWetandCold - Ashes.espWhen Vampires Attack.espaMidianBorn_ContentAddon.espComplete Crafting Overhaul_Remade.espRealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.espRun For Your Lives.espSkyrimImprovedPuddles-DG-HF-DB.espSDO Full-LOD - Whiterun Trundra Creeks.espSkyrim Flora Overhaul.espPilgrimsDelight.espThe Paarthurnax Dilemma.espSTEP Extended Patch.espImproved Combat Sounds v2.2.espDragonShoutVoice.espNonEssentialChildren.espImproved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.espBlockSparkles.espSFO - Dragonborn.espParalyze.espGildergreen Regrown.espSDO Full-LOD - Giant Campfires.espRadiant and Unique Potions Poisons and Booze.espTheChoiceIsYours_Dawnguard.espChesko_Step418_SN.espiHUD.espmintylightningmod.esprandomthunder.espBashed Patch, 0.espDual Sheath Redux Patch.esp Edit: I've installed an ENB preset (Seasons of Skyrim) to see if did anything to solve the issue but nothing changed albeit an FPS drop of 10 or so.
