Okay I am no expert in this, and I am not even sure if this is correct! I guess I need to learn not to say that stuff is simple! ;) Anyhow! I have looked around in tes5edit on the Vanilla masters for the entries that would affect the voice used by the PC actor. If you load in all the Bethesda .esm´s Then search for the following FormID 00013746 Then you should get NordRace, under the Race tab in skyrim.esm  or update.esm Then you want to scroll down until you find VTCK - Voices There you should see one for male and one for female. Their formID´s should be 00013AD2 and 00013ADD respectively  Now if you load in your entire load order in tes5edit and do the same you should be able to see if anything alters that record, and then you should be able to alter it so that it links to the correct sound files. This is of course assuming that they are the correct ones! I have a kinda hard time testing since I have the correct sounds. When I do it I see nothing altering said records. And I assume that these are the correct records for this race. If anybody with way way WAY more experience wants to chip in and correct me please do so! :)Â

Why would you not just use 16x AF ... the performance difference is absolutely minimal on todays cards. But so far it looks interesting for sure. However I still think ENB has the better shadow alternative overall. And if one is going to use that part using ENB color correction have about the same performance impact as this does. Edit: there is of course a bit higher requirement from using ENB color correction due to the nature of the mod. So this should of course have better performance if you are only interested in the color corrections.

I believe this was stated on your mod page´s post section. It is kinda awkward for it to be lore friendly if you get boosts and benefits from prostitutes, but you cannot get the equal amount or more from your spouse. That part should really be added in imo.

marked as solved then ;)

If that is satisfactory then go ahead. If pure vanilla also has the issue then something really strange is going on. In that case then the unofficial patch team should properly be made aware of it, so they could get a fix if it is a vanilla issue.

I am more worried about weird driver issues. My friend has had a couple of those after he upgraded. Which causes a few issues in some games. However they get fixed rather quick from what I gather. Also a few other issues relating to the new interface, which causes certain games to freak out when alt-tabing. I personally see no need to upgrade yet... properly going to stick with win 7 until my next format in many many years time if I follow the current track record. Also I am not rich, so I have better stuff to spend my money on!

Trying to see which mods could cause this kind of behavior. But most sound mods do not deal with any player characters as far as I recall. Which is why it is a bit strange. Here I assume that we are talking about a new game and not a saved one that has had previous mods installed and removed, since then the reason would most likely be that.

SKYRIMLE Superior Rock Textures - HD 2K replacers by skyrimaguas
Aiyen replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I fear the day when 4k textures become the norm.... insane download sizes! 10Mb per texture at least. Scary thought. And yeah 4k textures do not belong in stuff like rocks, or trees etc. The game just cant handle it, and it is really pointless to make such a generic gameworld item super sharp. At least that is my opinion on the matter! -
SKYRIMLE High Definition Ivy - 2K (by Josh Ezzell)
Aiyen replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah altering the texture to a less memory intensive one is on my todo list.... so many other textures to individually alter so they fit my preference. DDSopt only does a "that" good a job, and sadly not on every single texture. Will most certainly try out your suggestion there CaBal! -
Okay never had any male nords who have their voices in puberty yet. Try to test if it does it for all male races or just the nord one. Might help isolate the issue. Worst case it might be as simple as making a small patch that links the nord race to the proper sound files in tes5edit.

Silly question re: Wrye Bash and HRDLC optimization
Aiyen replied to SabreCat's question in Wrye Bash Support
Solved it is then! :) -
CTD´s in the crafting menu happens. The system is not built for massive amounts of different craftables. If you experience it, one trick is to not scroll too fast, since I found that it provokes CTD´s freezes. I eventually removed bandoliers since it added obscene amounts of stuff to the lists. Removing that solved most issues for me, but of course I do not use all the sword and armor mods, but every little bit helps. One can hope that in the future more mod makers will do like cloaks of skyrim, and move the crafting of those to a seperate crafting station so that the lists overall is not as cluttered.

Aiyen replied to krzykyle's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Falkreath is one of the most memory intensive areas in the game. So CTD´s there are most likely related to the fact that the game is running out of memory to load all assets. In general you can get CTD´s from memory as far down as 2.4Gb used. If you get into a region that just requires a huge chunk of new stuff then the burst of data might be too much, and it will then upset the script engine, which will then cause the game to freeze or CTD. It might be that your computer is more then able to handle it and it is not memory related at all! However experience has shown that most of the time it is in fact the cause. I just like to get it out of the way, before I start making long long posts about mod compatibility etc. -

RLO vs. ELFX as well as RCRN vs. CoT?
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in General Skyrim LE Support
As far as I remember there is an official lighting weather thread! I know because I once typed in it! Also I do check the other sub forums for lighting/ENB related topics... since that is my main interest! Edit: Just did some quick checking! Under STEP release, there is an official STEP lighting thread. Also under STEP there is a post processing thread that discusses the various lighting and weather mods. -
Skyrim Revisited vs. STEP 2.2.6 (IN TERMS OF RAM USAGE)
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Logically yes. More mods means more required memory at the end of the day. Even script based mods require a small bit of memory to function. But it still pales in comparison to the huge amounts required by textures. As for how much more then that is a tricky question! Since the monitored values are not super accurate when determining how much the game is actually using. Also the values vary depending on how much system memory you have. But just the nature of the mods in question makes any comparison extremely tricky. They all depend on what you are doing ingame. And since the two installs vary then the only thing you can say for sure is that the more complex one naturally will require more since it can have more things going on. -
RLO vs. ELFX as well as RCRN vs. CoT?
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I hardly think this needs to be in this section. Sadly I have still not learned what to do about it! Oh... listen to me sounding all official and stuff! :) -
In general you can try to reduce the size of your LOD textures, and the draw distances. This should all help with the inf. load issue.

If the OC is maintained only through the afterburner then no it will not persist. Since it is a software based OC that requires the program to continuously send information to the card. (Which is why it conflicts with ENB since it also requires the information from the game rendering in order to function.) Since skyrim is a CPU heavy game and not a GPU heavy one any marginal gains in GPU clocks are basically not noticeable while playing. Even with ENB active then it is only marginal gains you would get from having it on. Better to save GPU OC for games where it actually matters. And as a side benefit your card might survive for a bit longer. ;) Try to disable all monitor and OC programs and try again. Also only use v.168 of ENB since the higher versions are still in beta and requires a so called helper mod in order to function properly.

Silly question re: Wrye Bash and HRDLC optimization
Aiyen replied to SabreCat's question in Wrye Bash Support
If you have extracted the texture.bsa´s then you no longer require the .esp´s (or bsa´s) since the .esp´s are only there to link the game to the bsa archives. Once all the textures are as loose files they will automatically be used. This of course assuming that you have put in the correct folder structure ...\textures\... -
Random crashes and days darker then nights
Aiyen replied to krzykyle's question in General Skyrim LE Support
The CTD´s can be due to any number of things. But since you also have issues with lighting then there might be a correlation. RCRN seems the most likely culprint since it does include stuff that can in fact do what you describe. Even though it is a bit weird I admit. Try to remove it and test too see if the problem persists. For CTD´s I have to ask that you try to reduce the amount of textures you might use to a minimum. If that solves the CTD´s then you have had memory issues. If not then it is most likely a mod conflict. An easy trick to do this is to extract the textures.bsa in MO and load it first and let other mods overwrite it. Then when you want to test out you can just move the mod with the vanilla textures down to the bottom of the mod list and it will overwrite everything. That way you do not have to disable a load of mods and reactivate them again. It is a real timer saver. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Aiyen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Some people see the issue with the horse some do not. It is not properly tested yet. It cannot hurt to have it on the block list so that is what I have done. -
On AMD their booster software also messes with the d3d9.dll file. In general do not run with any monitor/OC programs while playing with an ENB since they most likely try to access the same resources. The injector should solve most of these problems, but it might also give adverse performance issues. Might also increase performance in some cases. But as I understand it then most people find the better performance with the wrapper version. Also ENB is sensitive to driver versions. Some just wont work at all. Going to need more details in order to help out though! Like driver versions, OS etc.

Sometimes I am a bit too quick on the keyboard! Sorry about that! Also I am not saying that it is 100% impossible for graphical windows extensions to cause performance/stability issues in games. I am just saying that I am not seeing it on my computer. It is entirely possible that you could benefit from disabling it on your machine! The best cause of action is to try it out and see what happens! However expecting a huge chunk of extra memory due to disabling it seems far fetched. If Aero required 200Mb of dedicated VRAM to function, then it would cripple lesser computers and laptops. Since we do not see this happen then I guess it is safe to assume that this amount is just a buffer or similar temporary figure. If anybody else with more knowhow wants to chip in and correct me by all means do!
