Mod Organizer 2 Development Status
VirusShell replied to LePresidente's question in Mod Organizer Support
lol, yeah. They are. They seem to be used to download all that is needed outside of what is packaged. I just wasn't sure at first but I found out that Tannin's installer included the same files. No harm in being cautious tho! -

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Ok, so just to confirm that I'm not crazy... Trying to update 'No More Ugly Bronze Shine' the file says 1.3 on the nexus. Yet the download name comes out as 1.2a. And then of course when it downloads it shows 1.3. So would that mean that he updated the file structure but just named the file incorrectly? EDIT: - meant MO shows 1.3 when it installs lol -

Hey, I just noticed this: There is also an optional Dragonborn file. Is it something that should be downloaded as well? Or no? -

Do you think you might be able to post any results of what you get or perhaps what you do that becomes most beneficial? I've started to think that my issue may be coming from the fact that none of my textures (outside of vanilla) have been optimized. And would you suggest optimizing all at some point? Or just the ones that probably take up the most room. And again, damn! You did a ton today and I don't think we can thank you enough! -

Sorry we couldn't be more assistance. Skyrim is finicky sometimes... Hell maybe turning off your computer and coming back later will fix it... lolLol, it's fine! I appreciate all of the help given. I tried quite literally everything I could think of and I just don't feel like spending another minute fretting about it. So far I've wasted 3-4 hours on this one thing and it's just not worth the time lol. I even reverted MO back to 0.12.6 hoping that would help as I've had a ton of issues since updating to 0.12.7! And nothing as of yet. Oh well. It's no secret that Skyrim isn't known for being the most stable coding -

Well... so far I'm at a complete loss. It seems to trigger on the last mesh that was changed...... sometimes. So I give up for now. -

Ok. I am having an issue that is just killing me right now and I can't seem to find the cause. My characters faces (at the character creation screen) rapidly flicker from one brightness to another. And then the War Paints will leave a transparent ghost when I switch thru them. If i mess with the Dirt and Complexion sliders enough it seems to get rid of it at certain intervals only to show smaller, subtle flickers on the face where maybe a different War Paint would be. I only notice this on myself and no one else. It's as if there is something wrong with the presets for each race, because if I mess around with the sliders enough it appears to stop. This does not happen in Vanilla and I've deactivated everything I could think of that could be related. I also deactivated everything that I've added in just the last day so far and cannot figure it out. Even reinstalling all of the mods under "The People of Skyrim", and reverting to some of the mods from that were just recently updated. I thought for a small while that it was SMIM but it ended up not being the case. Perhaps there is something in my Skyrim.ini or Skyrimprefs.ini that may cause this? Lol, I'm open to any suggestions before I painstakingly reinstall every mod hoping that will fix it. -

The update for 'Better Makeup for SKSE' now tries to install as 'High Res Female Face Makeup for SKSE' instead of 'Better Makeup for SKSE' like the other ones do. Hope this might help someone lol -

ok! So now I know how people feel after MO decides that it doesn't like your mod load order! It happened when I tried to remove a mod that I had installed that was no longer needed using MO. But that's the less important part lol In case it happens again to anyone else and they don't have a back up of their profile here's what I did to make it a bit easier than clicking-and-dragging each mod around: I would post the file that I have setup, and I may if people ask. But I have altered a few of the folder names and installed things slightly differently. This would auto-correct itself to the best that it can when MO is run after editing the modlist.txt. Anything that was named differenly would then show up at the top of the file with a '-' and would just need to be manually moved again. It should also delete any entries that don't exist in your MO\\mods folder. Edit - I just confirmed that it would indeed remove anything not in the MO\\mods folder and it would add a mod that isn't in the list. Edit #2 - Well, since spoiler tags do actually work, I guess I will just paste the file here. This is updated to as far as Neo has gotten with the guide so far. (Which is to say at least up to When Vampires Attack as he is updating currently lol.) It also has 'Enhanced Projectile Soul Trap' disabled as 'Acquisitive Soul Gems' is not yet installed. -

Ok, found what is probably another edit. Under the Dagi-Raht Khajiit Race instructions: Are malebody_msn.dds and malebody.dds supposed to actually be bodymale_msn.dds & bodymale_msn.dds? -

MO was just updated to 0.12.7 This from the patch notes: Also, there are newer features... I just wanted to add that part cause it was at the top and I missed it with the Dark.qss style on the first time. -

Of course I would remember this after you get out of the chat room.... lol When doing the edits provided for Guard Dialogue Overhaul, should the SPIKE.esm be loaded as well in TES5EDIT? I mean it gets loaded anyways since it's the master... but would this affect anything in any significant way? Or it won't matter since it loads regardless? -

Well whatever your choices, thanks for all of the work you've put in! Also, I've noticed a few typos here and there, or when something doesn't seem as consistently stated as some of the things above. But they are mostly in the areas that you haven't gotten to just yet so I don't see the point of adjusting. So far, using the mods up to where you have most recently updated, I've not had any CTD's! -
GUIDE Skyrim Installation Guide
VirusShell replied to frihyland's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
Ok, I changed the links for what I had posted about Script Dragon. For whatever reason I couldn't get it to link to the actual proper area. It just defaults to here regardless of what follows (unless it's my browser.) -------- It probably should be removed for now. According to Hionimi he's looking into to updating his mod as there are still a few things to go over. He's noted it on his mods page. There's also an on going discussion on the Bethsoft Forums detailing quite a bit more info. Any suggestions on the best action tho for the SIG? -
GUIDE Skyrim Installation Guide
VirusShell replied to frihyland's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
I noticed that the link for the USKP on the Sig was outdated. It pointed to a previous location. I've updated the link so that it now goes to the correct location. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation#USKP Also, on the "Hacks" under "Injectors" I noticed that the link for Script Dragon sends you to a nexus link. However, when you go there the top portion links to the authors' hosting site. Humorously, this then shows two more links! One to go to the Skyrim mods, the other for other mods. Even better is that these links just send you here to the main page, instead of their respective areas. So I was wondering if it would make sense to shorten the amount of clicks for people who choose to install Script Dragon and just direct them to here? -
AMD CrossfireX Fix info outdated
VirusShell replied to VirusShell's question in Other Utilities Support
I'm not entirely sure by what is meant by "Significantly improves latency performance in Skyrim, Boderlands 2, and Guild Wars 2" to be honest. But while playing BL2 last night it did seem to perform better. However, without having any sort of data to back that up it . . . Here is a link to the most recent beta notes: https://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst132BetaDriver.aspx -
AMD CrossfireX Fix info outdated
VirusShell replied to VirusShell's question in Other Utilities Support
I do know that 13.2 Beta 3 did have a performance increase directly related to Skyrim. While it's true that AMD did indeed change their release cycles, I seem to recall that CAP's are still somewhat important. I believe I remember seeing that it was recommended to have the previous CAP (12.11 CAP 2) installed for the 13.X drivers. Thanks for posting the uninstall tool! I did not know it existed. I've been doing it with Driver Cleaner. But it's been outdated for years -

:) No problem. I figured it couldn't hurt as the majority of users do have nVidia. I tend to feel a little left out at times lol. Thanks for the quick reply.
