Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

I must admit, I'm very excited about this new version. I'm probably going to spend weeks setting it up when it comes out, much to the sadness of my wife. -

I gotta say, as it is right now playing as a werewolf is amazing right now. I haven't had this much fun with it since the day I found out you can send enemies flying with a strong attack. Having your companion allies turn into werewolves when you do is so much fun, and the perk system added in is rediculous. So kudos to that decision. -

I installed today the "fixed" installer he uploaded... all worked fine (but I didn't use "integrated FOMOD installer" in MO, just the default one.Yeh, I just d/l'ed and used MO.  I'm not sure what you mean or how to use the "default" one.  I just added the files manually from Main File (Book Covers Comparability)I pretty much did the same and added the main file manually. No biggie. -

Jeez these threads move fast. I'm going to be keeping Better QS Books myself. I'm not as much into the immersion stuff and I don't want to read a bookshelf full of books to find that none of them give me skill ups. Just how I do things. So from the sounds of it I wasn't the only one getting issues with skyrim.esm and update.esm not being found. It just stinks that Skyrim is effectively broken for me since the patch never finishes. Didn't find anything of use from the readmes either. Guess this actually gives me time to go draw or something, heh. -

Thanks Solist, its great to be back. So I went ahead and shortended Wolverine's package name to Wolverine's AV Ports. I already have all the AV variants merged with the main AV. Still not getting anything in the list when running the SUM program. I haven't found anything useful in the txt files, but I'm going to reread them to make sure I didn't miss anything, since I can tend to miss simple things sometimes. I think I'm going to try to reinstall everything merged into the SUM mod, since AV's structure works best when merged. That is if I don't find anything useful in the txt files. EDIT: So installing all of them under the same mod worked perfect, except for one error I get during the Dual Sheath Redux Patch. skyproc.exceptions.MissingMaster: Dual Sheath Redux.esp has some missing masters: - Skyrim.esm - Update.esm -

Long time no see Neo. I have come back and gone through and updated my install to current, however my Skyproc Unified Manager isn't seeing any of the other skyproc patchers for its list. I noticed this happening the last time I played when I had to put all of Automatic Variants' submods under one name in order for it to see the packages. I'm not even sure that worked. Any ideas that could be causing the issue? -
I've put the normals of the HRDLC, as well as the foundation mods sans SFO to 1024, and it's been extremely stable for me. When I play tomorrow, I'm going to measure how much Vram I'm actually using after a few hours.

Definitely as high as 15 fps loss in heavily forested areas for me. Its no larger than 100mb vram hit walking through the rift area. I didn't notice the dancing trees though. Anyone have maybe a video example of the dancing that I can look out for? I went to 2k textures on about everything I could and even halfed the normals of the foundation and I've been really stable the past few days. I'll have to play more with the monitor though, I haven't been using it until today. Also where are you walking around so I can compare my VRAM to yours. Even just walking through the rift I haven't gone higher than 2.3 megs of vram. -

I can recommend adding Ultimate Lush Overhaul. It looks amazing alongside SFO. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32246 The downside is that I don't know if this author will keep up with all of SFO's updates. It is caught up right now, though. It does lush trees MUCH better than the old lush trees mod. It does dip your framerate, but I think its worth a keep. It has no .esp, its just a bunch of meshes, so it can be removed without issue if you don't like it. -

I'm guessing its so we don't have to do a Bashed patch and still avoid incompatibility with Cloaks of Skyrim. There was an issue with the bashed patch restoring changes that needed to stay changed. -

There is one in Dragonsreach near the Jarl's living quarters. That's the only one I've seen so far. There are many across the land of Skyrim but that's the easiest to find. I will check this out tonight myself. I already explicitly state to NOT install the display case in the Langleys section... check your install. :) Thanks.Gotcha thats my bad. My eyes musta skipped a line or 3. -

Not Really HD Display Case is showing as redundant and unnecessary due to being overridden by Langley Wood Metal and Stone Textures Workshop. I'm not sure where to find the display case in game for comparison. -

Sounds good then. Good to know which ones to avoid DDSopting with -

So logically I'd probably want to start with my DDSopting with SRO right? Im not really sure where to begin my DDSopt adventure. -

I'm on v0.12.6 which is the latest version. The last thing I did was install relighting skyrim to test later. I hadn't activated it so it was at the bottom of the list when I closed it. 10 minutes later I decide to play it and now my priority looks like: min: Skill Interface Retexture 1: Dawnguard Optimized 2: Hearthfire Optimized 3: Dragonborn Optimized 4: HRDLC1 Optimized 5: Underworld Dawnguard 6: Unofficial Dragonborn Patch 7: Unofficial Skyrim Patch 8: XP32 Maximum Skeleton -XPMS And on and on. Welp, time to go fix it again. -

So this is the second time this has happened to me. I open up Mod Organizer and all the mods are out of place or in some cases deactivated when they should not be. Has anyone else had this issue? Sorting all this out again is extraordinarily frustrating. -

Just using the behavior patch I've had much better stability with SkyTEST. Still feels like dogs spawn in packs, just not as many spawns as expected. -

I'm thinking the idea is that with your level 40 save, you've probably gone through quite a few caves and areas as well as moved around lots of items or raided forts and such. The new scripts being added may not account for all the things you have modified just by playing in past areas. It doesn't expect it and may be more likely to cause CTDS. Especially with all the new mods being added and starting thier run at once. Its safer to do that on a new game. -

Maybe changes should be on hold for a week while everyone is updating mods and stuff. Just kidding, but man, it looks like Neo's work will never end. I'm going to mess around with the optionals for Skytest too and let you know if it helps my stability any. -

Skytest probably needs those dawnguard and dragonborn patches to help with stability. I've always found Skytest to be unstable almost every time I've used it. If you're lucky you can get a few hours out of the game with it on (at least when modding as much as STEP or Revisited is concerned). Some, however have very few issues with it. Those are the lucky ones. -

This. Totally right. DG change should go to DG plugin... typo... sorry guys. Will fix (makes sense considering the lines above) Edit: typo fixed in guide. Everything works now. Sweet. I managed to fix the random CTDs I was getting by doing a full Defrag of my system as well. -

Its wierd. It hasn't had this issue for anything but this mod, went ahead to More Village Animals and its no problems. With this mod it just creates a save in the overwrite folder and TES5Edit refuses to close. I have to go and use the task manager to close it, and no changes are saved. On top of that, it also causes my CPU load from the task manager to go to 10%. Not sure if thats a big deal, but it stays there until I force close TES5Edit, where it goes back to 0. I had this problem too. I solved it by saving the file in sections. It's only a problem through the first section. I did the first parts to create the esp. and then saved after I had copied the drgonborn.esm parts to it. Then I did the additions to Hearthfire Saved again and finally the last part. By saved I mean closed down TES5Edit and restarted with all esm loaded. This seemed to work. Rest of MIA went fine. Sort of glad I'm not the only one this happened to - means I'm not completely mad  - yet.I redownloaded and did it again. Apparently its when I make the "XCLW - Water Height" change from Dawnguard to More interactive Items.esm that it creates the 'in progress' save. Strangely enough the More Interactive Items.esm was flagged as Read Only in its mod folder. Removing that and trying again didn't fix it though. Maybe the XCLW Water height is supposed to go from Dawnguard to More Interactive Items[Dawnguard].
