  1. Great mod, but now i run into issue with ENB: with bloom enabled map looks very bright and white. I found a something like solution on Nexus forums - "reduce levels of DDS files by about 25%". But what it means? I tried to reduce brightness, modify colors and other things in GIMP, the effect is noticable in editor/viewer, but not in game. What i should change in DDS to get desired effect?
  2. kryptopyr, thanks for reply. This mod seems outdated and abandoned, and comments are mostly negative. I will try to look this mod in TES5Edit.
  3. Is there is a mod that "de-questing" quest items? For example now i have about 20 quest items, i know that they are weightless, but i don't like this clutter in inventory.
  4. First time play Dawnguard, and now i'm in Soul Cairn. And there is a problem with flickering textures of some buildings. It looks like quick switches between normal textures and some very low-res ones. This flickering appears at all distances (except may be long distances - i'm using uGridsToLoad=7 and with those specific lighting of Soul Cairn it's hard to notice such details for LOD objects). I have no idea, what cause this. I'm using only textures form STEP guide. Sorry for my English.
  5. blitzen: I'm using full ENB 246 with it's memory management improvements of course. Now i would play more with current settings to collect more statistics about (possible) crashes. I experienced several crashes with Enhanced Blood Textures and big battles from Immersive Patrols, but i'm not sure if culprit is EBT. Need more testing. EDIT: another example - Mzadahrk player home (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48988/?). Before game often crashes when entering to house/exiting to Skyrim or moving between workshop and main hall. Now no single crash, even with all mannequins dressed and all weapon racks, plaques and showcase used.
  6. My testing, may be it will be useful. I installed this memory patch and ran over Skyrim with speedmult 300 - no crashes. Then i increased uGridsToLoad to 7 - no crashes (i even tried 9, but it is less stable and somewhere FPS drops significantly). Then i installed Expanded Towns and Cities - no crashes (before i can't use ETaC at all because of instant crashes). Then i installed Footprints, Enhanced Blood Textures, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Immersive Patrols, Organized Bandits in Skyrim, Inconsequential NPC and had several crashes after watching of big battles (Immersive Patrols). I noticed that the longer i watch the battle - the more FPS drop down. I think that because of EBT. Then i noticed that i forgot about EBT patch for SIC, installed it and also replace EBT blood textures with 512. Now it seems more stable, i experienced only one crash (unusual crash with C++ error message). Total play time with new memory patch is about 8 hours, 3-4 crashes. Before that patch i experienced crashes every about 20-30 min, with default uGridsToLoad, and much less mods (especially "heavy" mods). Curiously now i mostly limited by the power of videocard (GTX780 with 3 Gb VRAM). With uGridsToLoad=7 and ETaC in new Folkreath FPS sometimes drop down to 15-20. Another similar heavy place - area around Whiterun with Whiterun Outskirts Market mod. Sorry for my English. EDIT: forgot to add memory patch settings: default 512/256.
  7. It seems that this glitch really happen only when my character is on horseback. I tried several armors, include vanilla, and tried to ride without any clothes at all, but glitch remain. Can skeleton replacers cause such glitches? I'm using XPMS, but it's very popular and well tested mod.
  8. Is there a something like Showracemenu Precache Killer, but for crafting menus? I have many armor and weapon mods installed, mostly with hi-res textures, and when scrolling through these armors in forge menu (for example) Skyrim often freeze. I know about Forge Menu Overhaul but it require some preparing and changes to mods.
  9. With new memory patch by sheson it seems there is no suggested VRAM limits. The more, the better.
  10. First, sorry for my English. I want to merge some ESP's without renumbering FormID's. Is there any way to (semi)automatically determine, if these given ESP's have crossing FormID's? I had looked into TES5Edit scripts directory but hadn't found anything apropiate. Or maybe there is a script, which just list all FormID's from given ESP?
  11. Nearox, thank you very much, it's working! For the first time i'm able to run from Riften to Solitude with all my mods (about 170), ugridstoload=7 and speedmult=300. And how about a Skyrim script (Papyrus) problems, especially "cloak scripts" (such mods as Wet and Cold, Frostfall, Enhanced Blood Textures, Footprints)? Does this patch solves stability problems with such mods or at least reduce this problems? I'm using Wet and Cold and Frostfall now and didn't play for sufficiently long time, just run around about an hour with slightly increased ugridstoload and speedmult.
  12. Nearox, do you mean, that your build of skse_loader works without steam? And please, can you upload it to another filesharing site? From your link above there is 7z.exe and my antivirus treat that as virus/malware.
  13. Sorry for maybe stupid questions and my English. How this DLL corresponds with Steam? Do i need to run steam? Can it work without steam? I'm using Mod Organizer and running skse_loader.exe through it, will skse_steam_loader.dll loading with this settings? I copied DLL, built by Neovalen (https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=4646&pid=63840#pid63840), but I can't find skse_steam_loader.log anywhere (just searched it through all disks). And i'm not sure if it working.
  14. Thanks for the reply. Warburg's paper map mod is definitely not a culprit of my freezes on loading. Disabling it helps once, but new save, made without this mod (even without any map mods) freezes again. Posted on Nexus...
  15. I have a GeForce GTX 780 with 3 Gb VRAM and don't experience any performance problems now (i have installed only STEP recommended 1K retextures). I don't understand the meaning of ReservedMemorySizeMb and VideoMemorySizeMb, because it doesn't make any visible effects for me. z92969, and what "ATI and Nvidia wiki guides" did you mean? I couldn't find this. Is it an article about "Nvidia inspector"? And about freezes: strangely the culprit is "Warburgs 3D Paper World Map". Now i often can't load saves made in exterior, game just freezes on loading (not infinite loading screen, just freeze, Safety Load don't help). But i can load another save (preferably made in interior location) and then load this problematic save. Now i got a 100% freeze when loading save in volcanic area in Eastmark and tried to investigate the problem. I tried to change ENB settings, disable ENB at all and even disable (in MO) all retextures, but game always freezed loading this save. Then i uninstalled "Warburg's map" mod and could load save in 5 of 5 tries. Even with all retextures, ENB and "A quality world map" mod. I don't understand this, it's just a paper map! Sorry for possible offtopic about this freezes.
  16. About ReservedMemorySizeMb and VideoMemorySizeMb: I have a 12 Gb RAM and 3 Gb VRAM and tried many different values, but it seems no difference, even between ReservedMemorySizeMb=256 and ReservedMemorySizeMb=1024, VideoMemorySizeMb=3072 and VideoMemorySizeMb=8192. I can't see differences with less or more freezes, crashes, stutter, etc. I mostly played with ENB 229-240. And last versions of many presets for ENB>=240 in their default configs uses lower values of ReservedMemorySizeMb, 256 or even 128. Is it intended? Is there a changes in memory management in last ENB versions? (i didn't noticed this in news on enbdev.com) And about ENB 243. I experienced much more freezes now (especially when loading savegames in exterior world), but i'm not sure, that it caused by latest ENB or my game just going to pieces after 300 hours of playing and 70 levels. Does anybody noticed such behavior in ENB 243?
  17. Aiyen, thanks for the help. My i ask more questions about ENB here or i should create a new topics?
  18. Thanks for reply. I have GeForce GTX780 3Gb and latest NVIDIA drivers. Did you mean that i should use my own enblocal.ini with any preset (exclude antialiasing settings)? Or i should rely on mod author's settings? And what about EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks? I read that it's not needed with "good drivers" but not sure, what "good drivers" are.
  19. I'm reading "Guide to ENBSeries" by --JawZ-- now and in PDF file (the manual itself) he wrote: But in discussion on the Nexus he wrote: I tried both and it seems that with EnableFPSLimit=true and EnableVSync=false a have slightly less stutter and "refraction lines" (i don't know how to describe this, it's a line with shift of picture when moving camera horizontally). But i don't sure. Are there any suggestions about this? Which method is preferable? Sorry for my English.
  20. First, sorry for my English. Since a couple of days i started experience a weird glitch with horses. It seems that horses have some invisible "thing" on its left side with length about 1-2 meters. If i ride from the right of the NPC (for example), my horse drag him along as though it has invisible "beam" (or "stick"). If i ride this NPC from the left side there is no such problems. I have only one mod installed that touches horses - Convenient Horses, but i didn't update or reinstall it since installation. It's very weird issue and i can't describe it properly and formulate a search query with my English, sorry. May be someone knows something about such problems? Thanks for help. EDIT: updated Convenient Horses to 5.0 (following update instructions on the mod's page), but it didn't help. Sometimes (but not always) my horse drag along NPCs, animals, items, etc.
  21. MO 1.0.9 marks "CharGen morphs.esp" as "dummy", but if i disable this ESP, new sliders from chargen menu (e.g. eyes size) disappears. This mod doesn't include BSA's, only loose files. Link to the mod: https://https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36925/ CharGen Morphs is an optional file in download section.
  22. Sorry, it's my stupid, stupid mistake. I added "[Papyrus]" section to the end of the skyrim.ini, but didn't notice only two strings in middle of file: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=0 Now it works, and there is a LOT of script errors from deleted mods... Thanks, wolverine2710!
  23. Does anybody has Papyrus logs with Mod Organizer?
  24. First, sorry for my English. I'm using Mod Organizer and added this to the skyrim.ini in the MO profile directory: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 But i can't find any papyrus logs in %UserProfile%/Documents/My Games/skyrim or in Skyrim game directory or somewhere else. This INI really works, my other changes in this file works well. I didn't change MO setting to store savegames in MO profile directory, so saves are stored in %UserProfile%/Documents/My Games/skyrim/. There SKSE logs in this directory but no Papyrus logs. Edit: just mentioned that i posted this to wrong forum, sorry. May be moderators move this to appropriate forum. Am i need to change anything else?
