Since my little problem, I decided that I'm keeping a compressed ".rar" copy of my mod organizer directory version before doing update to last version of the guide, and I always have a disk image, all on external hard drive. As I understand, there will be many updates coming and I don't want to reinstall everything from scratch again... I even checked if there is something like the OSX "Time Machine" that you can restore previous version for windows but did not find anything like it. So I went to do a complete rar of the folder... which is quite long compare to a versioning system like time machine... that just save the changes files or folders. If anyone know a software that do that, I'll be happy to know which one...

Did I missed something or some other loot rules were updated in the last guide update ? Like in the Merge Patches Group ? My game was just crashing after the update and then I checked everything and notice that I was missing some loot rules and some others changed and It's not "Whiterun Forest Borealis" and "Vanilla encouter zone" that were mentionned in the Changelog ... Just to be sure because I followed it closely... and then, some mods suddenly were in groups as they were supposed to be just in the default group... And I'm sure my rules were correct just before the last update... or does Loot when it update the masterlist erase our rules ? Thanks for your insight!

I agree! It is really too dark in some dungeons (like Arkngthamz that I was in yesterday) as you can't tell the dimension of some of them... You somehow have to map some dungeons going to edge of pits to have an idea of how big it is... and then you're not sure that you covered everything in it... it would be nice to have just enough light to at least see the dungeon dimension... That's my 2 cents on it. So how can we change that ?

As an advice : Are you under win 10 ? if so, no matter what your OS, you should have "Copy general assets" on the integration tab of the settings checked, and also with "batch copy assets" on the merging TAB. However this last setting cause me trouble since last week and my merge got incomplete and did not got my MCM menus of the merged files (That's how I found out the problem) ... so if you merge not working again, deactivate the last one "batch copy assets" on the merging tab... all the files assets will be copied anyway but not with the robocopy script... And you'll be fine... Better than to reinstall your win 10 !

It did not spill any errors for me too but the assets were not copied completely... Thanks for the info I will have a look at options on the internet security to see if something block there as it's the only other thing that I can see but for the same setup it works in win 7... that's why I'm so upset loll!

I dig it a little and this recommended option of merge plugins calls "robocopy" which some scripts working in win 7 get screwed by win 10. It stopped working for me since last win 10 tuesday update ... The annoying part is that you don't get an error message that tells you your merge was not successful... I just want to share this in case someone else as problems under win 10...

Thanks for that! I 'll try that too! I excluded everything in my antivirus protection already but I'll do it for Defender in any case... l have done a full SSD physical scan from win 7 on this drive to fix errors and it found free space marked as allocated in the MFT... It could be it or not... I will now recopy over and exclude in Defender... as a test I'll try the same merge to see how that goes...

I know that's very strange... and I made sure before installing in win 10 at the beginning that I had all permissions on those folders.... I notice also that my dyndolod did not generated correctly in win 10. Anyway, For now it work perfect in win 7 as I redone all merges and pacths... I will try the reverse process to copy from win 7 to win 10 later this week to see how that goes... I have now backups in both OS so I can experiment a bit...

Update on my problem with my miscellaneous merge : No I used the MO 2.1.4 as in the prerequesite section and yes I've done relinker and all etc... The thing is that assets were not copied over the merge mod in win 10 when i compared the folders in it to my previous backup one that worked. Hard to tell what it is because merge plugins worked until now correctly and before. But it seems to me that when it process files it way faster that in win 7 so I wonder if it skips some steps... As I said, since I have two windows 7 and 10 concurrently in my machine I can switch and test somehow. And I used the same setup as you can see from how I did it below... Here is what I've done : I installed Skyrim SE with Steam under Win 7 (64).I COPIED OVER it everything from my SKyrim SE from Steam that is in win 10.I COPIED my MO2 folder from win 10 to win 7 ROOT (C:\)These folders includes all the other utilities needed.Everything is then exactly the same.... I just redone the merge and it works in win 7...!!I think it's related to MO2 under win 10 because we did not update merge plugins since long time if not forever...

Well it seems that assets were not copied under Win 10 64 with Merge Plugins... I switch and copied everything from win 10 to Win 7 64 and I redone the merge and all assets were copied ( I know it because I compare with my miscellaneous merge files from my backup that worked...) It's hard to tell what it is really but could it be a VFS problem from M02 ? Anyone have seen something like that under win 10 ? Thanks!

MCM menus of the "miscellaneous merge" are not working anymore... at least for me. Redone the new update from my last backup and updated again... I followed everything very carefully. Miscellaneous Merged_fails.txt is empty, so everything should be fine. The merge mod is placed at same load order as previoulsy... and I loaded a saved game... When opening mod menu first time QuickLight MCM menu show but nothing inside, same for Pumping iron nothing inside the menu... All other MCM menu works... just the ones from this merge!Most bizarre thing ever... Please don't tell me I have to create a new game... Is there a way to reinitialize the menus ?

Thanks for the quick reply ! Good I'll go back to the 2000 then. Take your time, I'm not in a rush loll!!! And I can wait ... for KYE the latest is 6.1.2 but I stayed with 6.1.1 as I did not wanted to compromise my setting even if I keep a backup in case... I wish I knew how to mod :-) Have a good day!

Thanks for the updated guide! Just love this guide now that everything's working so well as far as I can tell... I have these 2 questions : Reset particle to default with bethini... Would it be bad to not change to default (I have GTX 1060 6GB)? and if not what's the default in plain text (as I would prefer edit it manually than redo all the bethini...) Any reason Know your enemy was not updated ? I have 6.1.1 now and even if the "srceo" patch throw an error it doesn't seems to be critical as I played almost 20 hours with it, I'm just waiting for the next update to this mod to fix it... or is it planned to be updated concurrently with other mods ?Thank so much !!

To let you know, I updated all the mods down to today that were on nexus since the last guide update ... And I just notice that with the last mod " Know your enemy" the "Kye Patch Merged" throw an error when merging for: kye_srceo_patch.esp I just ignore the error... which hopefully will not have big consequences.

So far, so good ! I have this question tho : there's the following mods that have been updated and I want to know if It safe to just update everything in my setup or would you recommend instead to wait that the guide be updated ?
