Still confused about STEP:Extended

Question

Posted

Hi STEP community,

Firstly I'd like to say THANK YOU to this amazing community for this excellent guide and all the hard work that has been done. When I first started modding I promptly broke my game and got demoralized. I'm so glad to be getting back on the right track.

My question is regarding STEP:Extended. I think I was a little confused initially when I started installing STEP:Core. I've been installing the extended mods alongside the Core mods in the order they are listed in the guide. Then I read something that said that STEP:Extended should be installed only AFTER Step:Core is fully installed. I'm in the middle of 2.F. Conflicting Graphics.

My questions:

- Should I stop installing extended mods as I go through the guide?

- Do I need to uninstall the extended mods I've already installed?

Thank you very much!

Hopefully you are using MO, so you can disable instead of NMM-style uninstalling :;):  That being said, the mods tagged Extended are good, stable mods so no worries there. The Extended set go beyond the Core mandate of fixing/enhancing vanilla Skyrim, the Packs go farther still. Were I you I'd install all STEP Core & Extended, see how it plays and what you like and make decisions from there (as you can always uncheck a mod in MO if it doesn't suit you for whatever reason).
