Having trouble with MO & ENB Injector

Question

Posted

I cannot figure out how to get ENB Injector version to work with Mod Organizer.

The problem is, that I NEED to launch SKSE through Mod Organizer or I would lose all the mods I have installed, but when I use MO the enbinjector.exe can't find the skse_loader.exe rendering the ENB useless.

I have spent a good 4 hours trying to find help to no avail.

Sorry if this isn't descriptive enough, it is about 2 AM for me right now, but if anyone knows something or can help that would be appreciated.

You can't have skyrim in your program files folder. You need to move it out of there because of windows UAC. Google how to move your steam directory. It doesn't take very long to do at all.

SO are you starting enbinjector from the skyrim directory or whatever shortcut you made, then going into MO and launching SKSE?

Yes, I would start the enbinjector from my skyrim directory which is here C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonskyrim then I would go into mod manager and launch skse from in there

I hope there isn't something super simple that I have been neglecting

Hmm pretty sure I have UAC disabled due to massive morrowind modding but I am also pretty sure you can fix it with running as administrator which I have been doing. Now I am curious, worth a shot I guess

I am really angry at myself for not thinking of this before, also the fact that I blamed MO for it :P but I am really glad I was able to get help and now others can see this thread and maybe it will help them.

I moved my Steam directory to my desktop, and just in case ran both ENB injector and MO as administrator and it works!

You should make a c:games directory. Put steam, origin, Uplay, or any other games In that folder so you have them in one place. Even if turn off UAC, the program files folder is still protected.

I was going to put it in  C: but I figured desktop would be easier access because its right there. There shouldn't be a problem if its on the desktop should there be?

I have my Skyrim located at C:/steam/steamapps/common/

I am having issues with the wrapper version of enboost 305 and 292, I have not tested previous versions as I am suspecting the problem is the wrapper and not the rest of the ENB.

I only use the STEP instructions for installation and manipulation of the enblocal.ini

I would like to know how to run the enbinjector in MO then run SKSE in MO so I can play Skyrim.

Skyrim does not CTD on startup when I remove the enb files altogether.
