Question

Posted (edited)

Hi all!

I stumbled upon a mod/patch for Skyrim called ASIS. I can imagine most of you have heard of it. If not:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18436/?

So I might have a slight problem. I haven't tried installing it yet, so I don't know if there actually is gonna be a problem, but I wanted to ask for advice, since my current setup is very smooth.

My concern is the Skyproc Patcher. Dual Sheath Redux already uses one of these. So I don't know if I should place this and it's Skyproc Patch before or after Dual Sheath Redux in the left installation pane and the plugin load order(and by extension of cause, the Skyprocced patch)

Please help!

~Sincerely

Doesn't really matter they both patch different things. You may need to start from a clean save or new game or at least wait a number of in-game days for the changes made by ASIS come into effect.

Yep, having more than one SkyProc patcher is bad --- you'll get circular masters ("A.ESP" depending on "B.ESP" which depends on "A.ESP"). Skyproc Unified Manager is suppose to help with this --- https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29865/? --- but it just crashed for me, so I ended up taking the advice off of their page:

To start off, you can treat all SkyProc patchers that are run/managed by SUM as a single patcher for the purposes of this guide.

The central important idea is that no SkyProc mods that come AFTER the one you are running should be active.

There is a "protocol" you need to follow to get a proper repatch.

  • Disable all your SkyProc mod esp files.
  • Run the first SkyProc patcher.
  • Enable that SkyProc patcher's .esp file.
  • Run the second patcher, then activate it's esp, and repeat for all patchers you have.

This will make sure that no SkyProc mod that comes AFTER the one you are running is active and gets imported.

If you don't follow this procedure, you'll most likely end up with circular masters, and you'll get a CTD when starting up Skyrim.

Note: Make sure you make your Bashed Patch *without* including any SkyProc patches, then include the Bashed Patch,0.esp in your SkyProc Patches.

Personally I also use ASIS and do recommend it :) But make sure you're using ASIS Improved INIs or you may get all sorts of weirdness with mods that should be excluded from ASIS's patcher: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53047/?

And finally, check out this Unofficial S.T.E.P. Pack, which has some suggestions for using ASIS: https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Modular_Morrowloot_Overhaul#Patchers (don't bother with the INIs on that page --- they're old)

Should the ASIS patch then be build after improving the .ini's? Or can I just dump them in after I've made the patch(which I just did)

The INIs tell ASIS how to build the patch.

Ok.

I have another issue with it though. Some enemies move in über slowmotion. I googled, and read that this might be due to SPERG. Someone said to add SPERG in the "AutomaticPerks.ini" would fix it. Would you know where in this enormous .ini files this should be added?
