Question

I'm curious if there is a way to remove a master from the resolution patch? I really don't care to have enhanced blood textures so I would love to free up space and save some scripting power. I know I can make my own resolution patch, but as often as SR updates it's a duanting thought. Thanks in advance!

I think you can also disable EBT via the MCM menu, or at least delay the script update. EBT shouldn't give you any issues and it's performance impact is negligible.

You can grab the 512kb or 1024kb optional files though to reduce the VRAM impact (ever so slightly but still).

Read your guide, and already did that. Thanks for the response though, and the guides! I was thinking that too but was also just curious if it was possible. I use SRLE as my base for modding because it is so well updated and planed out, but I was hopeing to remove EBT and the children fixes. Also wanted to try out something other then EFF just for a change. No biggie.

Well there really is no reason anymore to remove EBT. Once upon a time it was unstable, but the last updates plus the advent of the memory patch fix have made mods like that ( as well as BFS etc.) safe to use.

In Wrye Bash you can remove a master. I've only done this with my own patches, never attempted with other .esp's.

I don't have WB open and I think I'm a version behind (think I still have 304.3). But if I remember, when you select the .esp...on the right hand side there is a window titled "Masters". In that window, you can right click and alter that master list.

I don't know if this will remove all references inside the .esp when you do this. In otherwords, not sure that it leaves the .esp clean by removing those edits as well or if it just removes that master from the list. You would want to make a backup of the .esp beforehand, and then open it in TES5 after removing the master to see if anything needs to be removed manually. (Simply right click and select remove that edit).

I screwed around in WB for a bit in that window. Seemed to do more harm then good, though I was blindly screwing with things. Thank god thr is an endless supply of SR Res patches to be downloaded ;)
