MO Overwriting

Marthenil

Question

I did a quick search, didn't find anything regarding this, and since you people are amazing thought I'd ask here.

I admittedly am quite inexperienced with MO as I'm very used to NMM (bad habit I know). That said, I do know that MO's function is more like overriding instead of overwriting but still, is it possible to see what overwrites what? For example, If I install modx with NMM that contains the marthenil.dds file and then try to install mody which also contains that file, I get an overwrite error. Is there a similar function in MO?

Technically, i know that installing a mod after another overwrites the same stuff, but when doing stuff like textures the sheer volume of files is making it hard to manually check for doubles.

Thanks in advance!

The Conflicts tab for the installed mod shows what other mods are overwriting or being overwritten by the current mod. Changing the priority position will change what overwrites what.

The Data tab in the right pane also shows a virtual data directory telling you what mods are providing what files, and highlighting in red where one is overwriting another.

Awesome! I swear I looked everywhere but somehow missed it. Thank you!

Ok, since I already have this thread, I'm going to post this here, as it's also about overwriting.

Either I'm going crazy or I've done something wrong with the MO. It's telling me that USKP files are overwriting SMIM files. I have installed everything in the order the STEP guide is showing them, so I don't get it? Or is it supposed to be like this?
